"Indeed, one of the Emperor's finest. I am a representative of the Inquisitorious, sent here courtesy of the Grand Inquisitor. I am Rath Deschain, High Inquisitor... and formerly of the Jedi Order." He laughed softly at the hood comment. "It serves its purpose, Ka-Dek. So, Volus. What brought you here?"

"Well, word I heard was the Volusians had a ship which would be empty, sounded like some sort of inside-job setup to be honest. We all knew Volus is on the brink of.. well. We were going to steal it and take it away to find a world outside the Empire to colonise where we could live in peace" He waved a finger towards Rath, lacing his words with the force "You WILL let me go"

"Oh, right away Master Ka-Dek! Let me loosen those restraints for you!"

Deschain pitched his voice to sound hopeful for a moment and seemed as if he was going to take a step forward. It was likely the Jedi Master wouldn't be fooled at all, but Deschain made the attempt anyway. It was all part of the game. When Ka-Dek spoke, Deschain felt the powerful compulsion of the Force; had even used such tricks before, but he was made of far sterner stuff than the average man. No weak-minded simpleton was he. It sloughed off him like water from the back of a duck.

"I'll loosed then right up... directly after you pass the Trials and submit to join the Inquisitorious." His voice turned cold. "What nonsense were you speaking about Volusian plots? Speak quickly, Ka-Dek. I don't have all day. Your mind tricks do not work on me. You should know this."

"How much does being one of you pay? Is it a role which has overtime? I'll tell you everything I know about Volus.. if you promise you won't hurt any one of the people I name.." Ka Dek spoke, rather concerned.

Deschain grunted sourly for a moment. The Jedi wasn't likely to give up anything overly useful and as such, Deschain had to know what was the plan. Of course, such an agreement was binding in his eyes, but Ka-Dek wouldn't expect him to hold to it. As such, the Master wasn't likely to give up anything useful.

"It is required that I offer the chance to join the Inquisitorious. Payment is not a matter of discussion, especially for a sentient in your position. I give my word that I will not harm any of the people you name."

"Well, I am more than happy to sign up. But even if my salary is yet to be determined.. Do you personally get paid holiday? Even if you don't know as a rule? I mean I would quite like it, but so long as I can get some time off to go and smoke my pipe then its fine." he nodded at the Inquisitor's acceptance, he doubted it was true but he detected he would be tortured if he didn't just tell the truth, and being a natural coward, he wished to avoid this.

"I have ever been one who has been gifted by the force with the power of prophesy, in my dreams I see the future on occasion.. or sometimes.. futures that yet may become.. In my dream I was in deep space, in an escape pod, it was dark and the power was fading.. when I approached the world, it was a shining beacon. It was a beacon of the light side. As you likely know, there is little love for the Empire here.

In my dream there were three figures, the King, the Red Queen and the Ship. These are cards in a divining ritual I learned on Umbara during my training in the force. But I digress, in the dream.. I saw that the Red Queen, who I sensed was a powerful orator would found an order of knighthood, a new order, one dedicated to the downfall of the Empire. The King.. I sensed was a petulant and weak willed man, tied to objects, pointless objects of great size, palaces, ships.. and so on. I saw the Red Queen see to it that the ship was stolen, and this would be blamed upon the Empire.. Once this "betrayal" happened the weak king would ally himself with the Queen to found this order.. It ended with six humans, dressed in a military uniform, The Red Queen, the King, the Admiral, the crone, the sage and two Jedi, Master and Apprentice."

He laughed bitterly.

"And I knew, here already were the foundations on Volus, the seed of liberty.. They stood in a room, a large room, in a palace, vaulted and gilded. Each took from his side a light saber and activated it. Crossing the blades in the center.

Perspective then switched, for a second to the six figures approaching a prostrated Emperor. Unfortunately an alarm went off in our ship and there was a meeting.. they wanted volunteers for a raid on Volus.. on an "empty" battleship.. and I knew what my part in the prophesy was.. to steal the ship and prompt the founding of the order.. A small part, but a significant one.. And I have failed.. hope is lost" Ka Dek looked away, not being prone to displays of emotion, but obviously darkly depressed at his failiure.

"It is good you have shared this with me, Ka-Dek. I will see to it that these people are brought to the Emperor's fair justice; tried if you will, in a public court. I shall not be responsible for harming them. You have led me to a nest of possible treachery, Ka-Dek, and you shall be rewarded. You will have your answers to all your questions involving the Inquisitorious in due time. You will be shipped to Prakith for processing and then the Trials of the Inquisitorious. You will be remade, Ka-Dek, and you will serve the Emperor alongside us."

Deschain nodded to the man, who of course, could not see his smile. This gift of prophecy was something Deschain was aware of, though had no talent for. Six beings, according to the Jedi Master. It was a good thing the Purifiers were coming to Volus. It would be good to have some additional help.

---

Within the Volusian system, five Sentinel-class landing craft emerged, heading in formation to Volus and transmitting the codes necessary to gain landing. If they were queried about their cargo, they would simply retransmit their security code, one marking them as quite high in the chain of command.

Ka Dek was presumably sent off to Prakith.

Ka Dek was indeed sent to Prakith, to endure the mental and physical tortures suffered for weeks on end, such as those undertaken by Kal Thanatos. Whether or not he survived was a matter to be seen to, but for now, Deschain was on Volus, where he would begin his own investigation into the matter brought up by the Jedi.

The Volusians would have done their part helping the inquisitor and following his orders but would leave the man alone once again when the Jedi came back to. After all the inquisitor had said that he had wanted to question the jedi alone.

((Note: Any attempt at using some dream to use OOC knowledge will be contested vehemently.))

((I have no OOC knowledge of anything. I am only playing off of Ka-Dek's post.))

With all said and done and the Purifiers quartered in the Volusian palace, Deschain had some time on his hands; time he intended to spend investigating some of the accusations made by the Jedi Master. Just because he was the enemy did not mean he was not telling the truth, after all. What better way to ensure that the Empire was thrown into disarray than playing it against its own?

He sought out the King of Volus one sunny day and made his requests:

"Mr. Motour, I would like to look over your naval pride and joy, if you will. Also, the good Captain has a few inquiries into spending and finances of Volus. I know you won't mind, of course."

Loton looked over at the inquisitor as the requests were made of him. "Not at all, our books are completely open and as for the ship I will have a shuttle called down for you and a guide ready to show you over the ship. I am sure that you will both find everything in order." he said pressing a few buttons on his desk and making the calls for the inquisitor with him standing right there so it was obvious that it would be done and he wasn't going to jerk the inquisitor around through bureaucratic loopholes and such.

Bureaucratic issues were no bar to Deschain. He did not worry about red tape and such things, no. He was a working man and he did what was necessary to secure the safety of the Empire. "Does the name 'Red Queen' mean anything to you, Mr. Motour? I have to ask, you understand. Certain... allegations... have been made against Volus and an investigation of sorts is necessary. I thank you for the offer of your shuttle, Mr. Motour, but I must decline. It is an occupational hazard. My shuttle will suffice."

Loton sighed a bit at the first question leaning back and seeming to consider it for a moment. "Sounds like the name of some space liner though I don't believe I've encountered the term." he said with a slight shrug sitting back up. "Allegations of what sort and I assume the person making them has some proof?" he asked simply. "Any one can spout nonsense as I am sure you know and would hope they have some sort of proof to warrant this investigation which, let the record show, we will be fully compliant with." he said. "The records are being forwarded to the captain and he is free to speak to any member of this government in private." He offered. When the books were reviewed they would be in order. Some slight indiscrepancies but well within any reasonable margin of error that would be present in any government.

Above the world of Volus, apparently after yet another skirmish with pirates, the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Singularity dropped out of hyperspace alongside the Volus Shipyards, with the Avenger apparently still in dock. On the bridge, Admiral Corvus peered out towards the Volusian creation. He shook his head; it was an archaic design. While he, of all people, appreciated salutes to the past, to him, this took it too far. It seemed almost clumsy, especially compared to the neat, sleek, and efficient design of the Imperial-class. It was slightly longer than the Imperial, but yet nowhere near as many guns. A large internal hangar running the length of the ship perhaps was accountable for that, as well as the low crew count in comparison. Personally, with it being somewhat of a heavily armed supercarrier than actual Battleship, it could use alot more Point Defense weaponry, and perhaps a couple of old Flak Guns such as those Venerator had. The hangar could have used a redesign as well... risking returning fighters to engine wash was unacceptable in his mind; although, it would force the Volusian pilots to be far better than their peers.

Of course, such changes and recommendations would require a vast report from Line Captain Lyons, although nothing was yet to come out from him on his first assignment to Volus. With the political posturing and seemingly conflicting nature of the Volus military and government at this point, Corvus, with mercy, would not assign Lyons here for some time. Perhaps he was too hard on the Volusian King and in his assessment of Volus. For a moment, this thought lingered, and then perished. Lack of efficiency, let alone refusal to report to Imperial Intelligence on this pirate information, he was ready to take aim at the Volusian palace, open fire, and declare martial law. However, Moff Assange would not appreciate such a intervention. Instead, he would have to meet with this Admiral, although Intel placed his correct rank at General, and Motour. He was unaware whether or not Line Captain Lyons was still on Volus, nor was he aware of High Inquisitor Deschain's arrival. Regardless, after some time, his vessel transmitted it's message to Volus.

"This is the Star Destroyer Singularity, carrying Fleet Admiral Tacitus Corvus, assuming a holding pattern above Volus. We are requesting immediate clearance for flight to either the Avenger or planetside," said his communications officer, rather tersely. Corvus would not linger around the bridge for much longer, after taking in what seemed to be forces returning from a skirmish, he made his way to the turbolifts and down to the hangar. There, his staff and a squad of Stormtroopers led by their Commander, awaited at his personal Lambda Shuttle, the Azure Nova. He would board along with them, and await clearance for their flight, as did two TIE Fighters.
