Close to the Volus System, and just a couple of kilometers from the Vjunite Sensor Array emerged a massive behemoth. A Golan-class Battlestation emerged from hyperspace, surrounded by a large rig containing multiple hyperspace engines which had been used to propel the station into its position close to the station. Awaiting them was a Vjunite Action VI Freighter containing the crew for the vessel.

The Tugs from the Sensor Array helped disassemble the Golan's hyperspace rig and move it into the awaiting XTS transport as the crew moved onboard and began to power up the station. Some minutes later the station's 30 strike fighters emerged from hyperspace and entered a holding pattern next to the Golan Station, awaiting the opening of its doors.

Notably.. aboard the Vjunite Golan Station there was a large amount of food and other supplies, of which a portion was redistributed to the Sensor Array, evidently the installation was preparing to withstand a siege.. Hardly suprising considering the events which might soon unfold around Aeeq. Eventually, the Golan I Battlestation came fully online and its multiple banks of turbolasers were tested as the fighters (aside from a standard picket) docked. If Senator Star had been right in saying it was a "dangerous galaxy" this was certainly one of the safer parts of it with the addition of the Station.

With this battlestation, the Vjunite Sensor Array was as well defended as anywhere inside the Volusian System, and arguably more so. Equally.. there was now a rather large bomber compliment with hyperspace capacity on the Doorstep of Volus, meaning that if it was to move any forces away from Volus it could well find a Vjunite strike wing hitting back at it.
