The dropped out of hyperspace one by one, in neat lines drawn up by the chief quartermaster who had assigned them their positions on this journey. In the fore was a Carrack-class light cruiser, the point man, meant to assess the situation which, in this corner of space, was quite clear for the time being. Behind the point man came the precious cargo, one after another. A trio of large and rather slow BFF-1 freighters, carrying grain bound for sale; a quintet of container transports, loaded with foodstuffs and behind them, a trio of Action VI transports laden with metals and extra precious items. At the very rear of the convoy emerged a single EF76 Nebulon-B frigate, the rear guard, which deployed its squadron of TIE fighters for this momentary layover. The freighters needed to conduct a few tests on hyperdrive systems, so it was not likely they would remain in realspace too long. For now, the convoy kept a slow and steady pace towards their next hyperjump destination.
