Amneris sighed as she looked at Zarc through the window. "Ma'am?" The maid next to her said, to turn Amneris' attention back to the task at hand. It was so menial, picking out napkins to match the tablecloth, but she still did it every night. "The blue ones." Amneris murmured as she looked out the window again. The maid nodded and scampered off to take care of it and Amneris finally turned her attention back to dinner. They had a chef (she wasn't that great of a cook on her own), so the only work she really did was supervise. That was really the only work she was allowed to do in most of the house. The little things made her feel at least somewhat important.
Finally, she laid down the napkins she had in her hands and went out into the garden. "Dinner is just about ready. You must be famished." She said.
