In the Tammuz-Sector dockyards the pirate vessel captured from Qual Onokha had been quickly refitted. One member of the crew had been placated with narcotics in order to extract all the information required relating to any dangerous systems onboard. All and any booby traps were removed (including self destruct devices etc fitted to any system), equally any slave circuits present or remote controls were ripped out. The vessel's control system was almost completely replaced, the reactor was tuned up and also thoroughly checked for any traps. The weapons were cleaned thoroughly and checked over. In fact every system on the ship was tuned up and checked for any little surprises.

The four fighters were checked over, any spare parts being replaced, they were also well cleaned.

The Minstrel-class vessel formerly belonging to Qual was renamed "Magnificent Levi" and was given the designation "Auxilliary Frigate". The vessel was placed in tandem with a pair of Corvettes used for anti-smuggling operations. What cruel irony it would be for Qual Onokha that his most valuable and largest vessel was now destined to serve in the Imperial Navy.

The crew, as for them, they were inducted into a work camp to labour until they were sold on the markets of the Outer Rim (although half a dozen were immediately sold to a travelling Muun slave dealer), having been informed that their Captain had sold them out. The most willing to betray his Criminal past was appointed as a Junior Agent to the Sector Protection Agency under a new name as a consultant on Arms Dealing. The navigational officers were... coerced until they disclosed the location of Qual's home base.

Also, two of the crew were allowed to escape and smuggle themselves aboard a freighter to Gravlex Med, undoubtedly to seek revenge on the Captain who betrayed them.

Of course, had any of the navigational officers known where Qual's home base was, this information would have been a gem mine. Yet as it would seem, not a single one of the crew knew where the home base was. Often they would just be left on a world for their leave, being allowed time between jobs to do what they wished. The navigational computer was also routinely wiped to ensure that no information on Qual's home base was even still on the system. Most of the time they would arrive at other worlds, dead drop locations to pick up a shipment. Any information they did give was mere speculation, giving their own thought that it was either on Dantooine, Tatooine, even going so far as saying it was already on Tammuz. Those that had been sold off to slavery just scoffed and laughed at the lie they were told. They knew enough to know that this was just another greedy corrupt Imperial pig stealing what didnt belong to them from another non-human just because the Imperial were so poorly informed that human culture was better, when many knew that there were greater alien cultures out there.

The couple that were allowed escape wouldnt even seek out Qual, knowing that their captain wouldnt betray them, and to keep him safe they would avoid trying to find him again. Knowing that they were probably still being followed, and thus found it best to just disappear completely, rather than risk leading the Empire to Qual. Though even the "Most Willing" to betray their criminal past had their own plans in mind, and would use this chance as a way to mislead those that they were know working with.

The Engineers though would have a harder time, it wasnt just simply, go in and tune up the systems and that was it. When they reached the engine room they would find it a more daunting task. There had been so many upgrades and modifications to the engines and hyperdrive, that it was difficult to tell where the original system started and where they modifications started as well. It even had its own separate power source to ensure the ship could still operate, yet one would need to know the activation codes to power it up, with out them, it was useless to even try powering it up. It would be more difficult to split and take out the modifications than to just leave it as it was. If a single system was pulled out with out prior knowledge of where it was, it could be devastating. Yet again the Empire had stupidly allowed the only person who knew any real information to get away, once more doing what they did best. Claiming to be clearing the Galaxy of criminals, while they allowed their own officers to be bigger criminals, and screw up their own plans by allowing those that had information to disappear. It would be even more difficult to track down Qual now, then it was before.

((ooc: Not contesting about Levi having the ship, Just making it known that none of the crew knew where the home base is, and that they where loyal enough to know that the Empire is pulling it normal steal from aliens and lie routine. ))

(Of course, the above post is what is called an Auto. It should be emphasized that now you surrendered the ship and crew you cannot RP on their behalf in this way. The men are not strong willed idealists fighting for a cause they believe in, theyre the thugs of a little known pirate.)

The interrogations were thorough enough and involving enough rotary saws, pain injections, acid sprays etc that these petty small time criminals would be easily broken, after all they were crooks, not idealists.. They would cough up any and all info that was required. The defector was naturally watched and kept in a position where he could be of no danger, after a very exensive interrogation and brainwashing program.

The scoffing and laughing also would perhaps happen, but only because they would have been driven to be more than a little unhinged by the interrogation process, rather than any smugness. The fact remained that their Captain did sell them out for his own life. It was pointed out to the people that if it was not a setup "What smuggler would be stupid enough to dock inside an Imperial Star Destroyer?", indeed it had been a catastrophically poor move!

The engineers would find it really easy, since the ship which was approved was not stated at having all these weird power subsystems, but rather a stock model with sensor jammer, tractor beam and smuggling compartments. As had been stated, all systems on the ship had been completely disabled by the Ion Cannons, so all these fancy systems were simply pulled out and the ship was restored to factory settings. If access codes were a problem, a call would be made to KDY to get hold of the factory restore codes. This was the Empire, and the

Whatever annoyances they encountered, the ship was simply restored to being the standard model, armed with its 4 heavy turbolasers, and 6 laser cannons. The weird separate hyperspace system was simply pulled out and sent off for scrap. The Moff was not interested in operating some lean mean smuggling machine, but rather just having another corvette for his sector, the men knew what happened to people who failed the Moff. The men converting the ship were trained professionals, adept at their task and would succeed with a little elbow grease to produce the Moff's results.

((ooc: I wanted it known that none of the crew knew where the actual base was. Only Qual did and any information on where the base was, was deleted to prevent any information from being found out. None of the crew where ever told where the base was.))
