"Choices. Right. I got caught in the middle of a firefight. It was either shoot at you or shoot at them. I just decided it was better to not anger the guy with a lightsaber." Maximov's tone was that of a man in a tight situation; caught between a rock and a hard place. Still following on the footsteps of the Jedi and the Wookiee, he kept his feet moving, not willing to fall behind in the slightest.

"I hope you paid your fee. The Nar Shaddaa docking control isn't known to be generous about free leaving. We might have enough time for an electronic transfer if you and your friendly rug here can get us onboard in time."

The ex-General looked back at the man, "Well, my ship landed on an abandoned landing pad. The traffic to and from Nar Shaddaa is so dense that I was able to slip by. I fear that by now they would be able to notice there was a ship sitting on an empty pad. We better get there ASAP." The pair would reach and turn into another alleyway, leading them to a street. "We may have lost them for now, but getting onto that street meant we may be back on their radar." He wasn't about to back away, slowly walking toward the end of the alleyway. Dexier wanted to do a scan, just in case, before getting onto the streets.

To Maximov's ears, the sounds of pursuit had faded in the distance and he was covering the rear of the alley from whence they'd come. It seemed like the Jedi was taking forever to get to his ship. If they remained too long on Nar Shaddaa, someone was more than likely going to notice the obtrusive trio; they stood out rather badly. Well, Maximov could always slip away, but he needed the ride that the Jedi represented.

"Any time now, Jedi. Let's get a move on things."

Dexier would nod at the stranger. Indeed, he was right. It's better to get off Nar Shaddaa as quickly as possible. Only then, he'd find out more about the stranger. The former General wanted to use the Force, but he knew he couldn't for two reasons. Firstly, it would give off his signature to the Inquisitorus. Secondly, it would get him away from Grozharr and the stranger. He'd have to run as quickly as humanly possible. The Jedi would begin running straight for the abandoned landing pad, as Grozharr would be following him. Hopefully, their ship would still be there by the time they get there.

It seemed as if they'd lost the pursuit for good; at least the initial pursuit. That was still no reason for Maximov to replace the GRS-1; no, until he was safely onboard, he planned to keep said weapon at the ready. Between bounty hunters and, likely as not, some of the Empire's lackeys after this Jedi and his Wookiee, there was no telling the trouble that would come. Hopefully, the transport would be close, for Maximov was growing tired of the run and was more than ready to board the ship.

Finally, the duo would run up the clear path to the Sheathipede. The Jedi got onboard first, and headed straight for the pilot chair. The wookiee followed by, and got on the co-pilot chair. It took some time to rev the engines up, but they did it. They would wait for the stranger to get onboard, hoping to get off the Smuggler's Moon as soon as possible.

Maximov was on the ship only moments after the Jedi and his Wookiee companion. He made sure to stay out of the way of the direct cockpit, instead standing in its doorway where he would not obtrude on the pair's operation of the transport. The Sheathipede was a Confederate vessel; something Maximov was not fond of; they tended to stand out at times, but then again, it was a transport and not an attack vessel.

"Get us off this planet, Jedi. We don't have time to dawdle."

The Jedi got the shuttle off the pad, with Grozharr at his helm. Once it got off the pad, the ship spun around and took off. "Maximum speed." He simply told the wookiee, as his furry friend would level down a control to increase the speed. Usually, a Sheathipede doesn't have hyperdrive. This shuttle was modified, and Dexier stole it from a Confederacy official on the day of Order 66. Clearly, a Neimoidian official. Anyway, pretty soon, they'd blast out of atmosphere. Well, not literally.

The only thing the Jedi hoped for was that there won't be any bounty hunters flying in orbit to shoot them down. The shuttle isn't exactly the best fighter, though it had been modified to hold some weaponry. "Grozharr, if anyone comes our way...fire." The former General ordered the wookiee to take responsibility of the laser cannons, of which the shuttle only had three.

Dexier would move on to install a set of coordinates into a console in front of him, then he looked at the stranger. "We're going to Taris. It's going to take a few minutes for the hyperdrive to be ready, though."

The shuttle's sensors might also notice a pair of craft converging upon them. One was from low orbit over Nar Shaddaa; its signature was that of a Firespray-class and the other, from further out, bore the sleek and deadly lines of a VT-49 Decimator. It would appear that the pair of craft had taken an interest in the shuttle; an unhealthy interest more likely than not.

Now was a crucial moment. Maximov had some distance between himself and the pair; enough distance to maneuver. He had the GRS-1 in hand already and it seemed prudent to take them with as little fuss possible. By the Jedi's own words, Dimitri had a few minutes. To him, the Jedi was obviously the more dangerous of the pair. Until now, Maximov had been cloaking well his Force ability; he knew of the precognitive ability of Jedi to read threats in the Force and pushed the thought of attack far from his mind; the Jedi should have no feelings of trepidation or worry whatsoever.

Then, barely a minute later, with no warning, he raised the barrel of the GRS-1 only slightly and fired twice without aiming down the sights, trusting the Force to guide his hand as he fired at the defenseless back of the Jedi before pivoting on his front heel and unleashing another two blasts of the shockstun mist at the Wookiee. Even if they somehow got past the initial shots, the goo-like substance that followed the shockstun mist was sure to cause problems by effectively gluing them to their seats.

Dexier was preparing the shuttle for the hyperspace travel so that they can be ready when the time comes. All of sudden, he was hit with a couple of shockstun mist. The Jedi got knocked out old. The wookiee heard the shots, and turned his head only to see his friend knocked out cold. Grozharr was about to use his bowcaster when it was his turn to get knocked out cold. The pair were now left defenseless, at the mercy of the supposed bounty hunter.

There was little time for Maximov to play around. The Jedi was searched first and relieved of any weapons or useful items. Lightsaber, credits and anything of that sort would be placed on Maximov's person. The bowcaster, largely made for Wookiees and not to Maximov's liking, was destroyed by a single slash of the Jedi's lightsaber. Utilizing his arm-mounted comm system and the Sheathipede's comm system, he coordinated a movement between his support craft, his personal craft and the transport. Binding the Jedi and the Wookiee with heavy-duty cuffs, Maximov dragged them rather unceremoniously into the back of the transport before shooting them both again with the GRS-1 to ensure they remained out. His destination was Tatooine, out on the fringe and less suspect than Nar Shaddaa. From there, he would see what would happen. Perhaps the Jedi would prove valuable... or perhaps not.

With his ship slaved to the transport and escorted, he initiated the changed jump.
