It was not long after a bounty was offered on the head of a rather prominent new Senator that a Theta-class shuttle emerged near Orvax IV. Notorious as a slaving planet, it seemed unlikely that such a craft, even a former Confederacy vessel, would be paid much mind. Working its way into the lanes of traffic, its first order of business was to scan the planet's surroundings, checking the names of the various ships that resided there. The name of the vessel Windfall had been mentioned and it was this vessel that the shuttle's crew were trying to locate. If such a bounty was to be undertaken, it would be quite hush-hush.

Kruus had prepared the ground thoroughly on Orvax IV. Here, his name was well known--not so much as a Separatist during the Clone Wars, but as a successful slave trader in the decade since. But it was his Separatist past that, despite his name recognition on Orvax IV, compelled him to keep a low profile. He wasn't worried so much about the Empire because it was smart enough to keep its distance from this place, but rather his many enemies, especially his perennial foes, the Zygerrians. The so called "Zygerrian Massacre" had been the fault of Anakin Skywalker, not Kruus. But Kruus wasn't one for half measures, and having made an enemy of the Zygerrians, he committed to it and took the credit for the massacre that had killed thousands and irradiated much of Zygerria. Still a dominant force in the slave trade, the Zygerrians were always here on Orvax IV and were always looking for Kruus.

But the Zygerrians hated all Separatists, and if they knew that Shiva was poking around they'd give him the same treatment. Orvax IV was a treacherous place full of slavers and smugglers, and it was only the presence of their ships in orbit and the threat of mutually assured destruction that kept the peace. They were all here for the same reason, after all. To make money.

But because of this treacherous environment (and because Kruus was wanted by the Empire too, which had an infinitely more impressive spy network than Shiva's), Kruus wouldn't be easy to find. He had said in his bounty that he could be reached through intermediaries, and this was true. But his intermediaries were few, and they knew who to talk to and who not to. As for the Windfall, it wouldn't be in orbit at Orvax IV. Kruus wasn't that foolish. Good thing, too, because this couldn't be a social call. Shiva already knew how to contact Kruus confidentially and knew the terms under which he would agree to meet with him. Meaning Shiva must be trying to find him on terms of his own. Well, he wouldn't have much luck here. Not until the annual slave fair in two months time.

Indeed, there was no proof that Shiva was not aboard the shuttle. Of course, there was also no proof that Shiva was. Flying such an unassuming craft though, it was easy enough to discern that the Windfall was not present and even if Kruus' spies and friends among the slaver did note the Theta, it was certainly not the only one in use in the galaxy by a non-Imperial group. However, with no sign of the sentient or vessel they sought, the shuttle gave up after some time and maneuvered for hyperspace. It was obvious Kruus was not present and indeed, while Shiva wanted to meet with him and Orvax IV had seemed well enough like Kruus' home grounds (he had placed the location in a public manner), it seemed the man was not available.

An AA-9 Coruscant freighter would drop out of hyperspace, along with a couple of Toscan 8-Q starfighters escorting them. The "slaver" had managed to hire a couple of freelancers to work as his escorts for the duration of this trip. Indeed, a faction of the Separatist faction isn't the only one to go look for Kruus. It was the Libs under the disguise of slavers. Ben Kishanti is a member of the resistance, and he would only be called upon to do missions that seemed a little too dangerous for Mika Jeebs. There were a crew of "slavers" coming with Ben from an outpost on Felucia.

Ben would be known among the slavers as Qatar Fedarro. It was an unusual name for a slaver, yes, but a lot of slavers aren't human neither. Unlike anyone else, the crew weren't there to attempt and capture Kruus. In fact, "Qatar" would attempt to strike a deal with the Neimoidian. It was much cheaper than what Mallix would cost a slave. Even though the slave fair was two months away, the Libs believed that if they were prepared to offer enough money, Kruus would be willing to sell anyway. There were enough money hidden away inside the freighter to pay for a couple hundreds of slaves, if Kruus were willing to sell that many.

The man had a KYD-21 blaster pistol inside a holster that were attached to his belt. Every "slaver" had been issued one, and every KYD-21 were modified to have the option to set it to stun. This was done to maintain their ruse as slavers. Prior to the large freighter's descent toward the surface of Orvax IV, the Libs had been going to some lengths to find a way to contact Kruus. They had to give up after a while, mainly due to the fact that his "middlemen" were very few and hard to locate. Thus, they gave up and decided to risk a mission by locating the Neimoidian on a planet known for slaving market and negotiate undercover as slavers.

The AA-8 Coruscant freighter, along with their Toscan 8-Q escorts, would continue their descent toward a docking bay. "Qatar" would also possess a Neuronic whip attached on the other side of the belt, further securing his role as an undercover slaver. The young man hoped to accomplish what his leader had asked of him.
