The pirates knew by now that they were no longer able to give as much cover as needed. By now their stores of weapons had been depleted gravely as they had already begun their preparations to flee from the fighting. Their hyperdrive engines began to warm up as they headed away from the main conflict, the Skipryas unleashed a last burst of fire against the Frigate as they began to pull away from the fight. Their ships already having taken damaged from grazing hits of the Turbolasers, their last act now to get away as they headed to the edge of the system. They still kept a look out for the TIE fighters they knew that would be following them from the area. The two ships quickly moving away and using defensive moves to keep the much faster TIE fighters from gaining too much of an advantage against them.

On board the Mandalorians moved quickly down the hall. Two of the Madalorians dropped to their knees, their DC-17m blasters quickly switched to hold the sniper attachment as they took aim down the hall. Letting off three quick, and precise burst of blaster bolts at their targets, in the hopes of hitting the crew that had begun to fire wildly at the boarding party. The two Mandalorians kept the rest of the team covered as the four pirates rushed ahead and secured the hall ahead of the rest of the boarding party. Those two Mandalorians began to stand and fire as they'd cover each other until they passed through the door way that marked where one of the bulkheads were. Still firing down the hall with precision shots as they'd use the frame of the bulkhead for cover.

With the Mandalorian warriors and the pirates occupying the Imperial soldiers, that leaves the rebels to keep their rear from being overrun by their enemy. This would prevent any surprise ambushes that might have come up. They didn't really need to fire at the Imperials, not when the pirates and the Mandalorians are the ones doing all the shooting and keeping them at bay. However, the Libs squadron would be entitled to use the frame of the bulkhead for cover as well.

The boarders were lucky in the regard that the Lockdown had not yet rerouted power to gain comms and that the Dorash was now in full pursuit of the fleeing pirates, leaving the seemingly safe Lockdown behind. It's turbolaser cannons opened fire as its tractor beam attempted to lock on to either of the fleeing craft and hold it steady. Above, the TIEs harried fire down upon the craft to stay out of the line of fire from the Dorash.

The attackers would have better luck with their limited time to take the bridge and key systems and hold hostages, depending on their intent. Two of the four men were dropped by the sniper's fire, while the other two retreated further down the hall, seeking cover. From behind them, the sound of shouts and voices would alert the attackers to a group of fifteen men; a trio of which carried the components to set up an E-web blaster. Few heavy weapons were carried on the ship, but those that were offered to cut down prisoner resistance quite quickly. Behind where the men were setting up a defensive position was a bank of turbolifts that would grant access to the rest of the ship.

In mere moments one of the skiprays burst into hyperspace, jumping away from the events that had been unfolding, their part of the mission done. They had taken out an Imperial ship, although at the cost of two of their own. The second Skipray wasn't so lucky though, the moment it's hyperspace window opened, a lucky turbolaser bolt struck the ship. The small craft going up in a brilliant burst of radiant energy, the added power to the engine adding to the explosion as it burst out in a wide spread, sending bits of the skipray in all directions. Any pilot that wasn't smart enough to stay out of the way was surely going to be caught in the edge of the explosion.

Those Mandalorians on board of the dungeon ship though knew which way they needed to go. They had to find their way to the bridge, and it was more than likely the same direction that the enemy had just set up in. The men nodded to each other as they slowly made their way towards the end of the wall, staying behind the bulkheads as they approached the L shaped turn in the hall. One of the men slowly peeking from his position to look down the hall and noticed the E-Webs that had been set up. As he slid back into place he motioned to the others the set up of the enemy, as well as their weapons. Two of the men stood around the corner as a third counted on his fingers, the two men holding up a frag grenade each as the third brought his final finger down. The two with the grenades threw them at an angle, bouncing them against the wall as they struck off the metal. Pinging against the opposite wall before rolling to a stop in the metal corridor. The explosion tore through the area as one of the men used the smoke from the explosion to throw a third grenade down the hall before diving back into cover, the grenade going off at the end of its arch, not even landing as the explosion threw out frag in all directions.

One must consider the use of an E-web-type weapon in such close quarters. It was well and good for choke-point control, as well as laying down accurate and deadly fire, or even covering fire. The men who operated the weapons were former warriors, but by far, they were outnumbered by those men who served with them as a detention capacity; that is to say, prison guardsmen more used to putting down riots than defending a ship. As such, their reaction times were slower than those of standard Imperial stormtroopers or army or marine forces. The weapon was hardly set up before the grenades detonated, shredding weapon systems and crew alike and forcing a further impromptu retreat of the forces who were coming to their aid. Another six men lay dead in the hall, and the turbolift to the bridge lay open, if the Mandalorians were quick enough to seize it.

One of the Mandalorians looked around the corner, seeing the hall and the area in front of the turbolifts empty as he signaled the others. They moved slowly, yet at a good pace, still cautious as they approached the turbolift bank. The group of Mandalorians taking up positions around it as the pirates with them took a look around. The Mandalorians pulled open the turbolift doors, clearing it before they stepped inside. Their next choice would prevent it from turning into a turkey shoot as they pushed open the top hatch and pulled themselves up into the actual turbolift tube.

The men all crouched as two of them kept their eyes on the doors of the turbolifts, ready to throw a grenade once the doors would open. The pirates on the other hand were given the task of holding the turbolift banks. Of course the Mandalorians didn't expect much from the pirates, yet at the same time they had their own problems to deal with.

The Mandalorians were well-equipped and better fighters when it comes to close quarters warfare. So far, the Libs had only been committed to hit-and-run operations. This was a mission of capture, which requires staying and fight. The soldiers doesn't mind this sort of fight, just that this was the first time they had dome this kind of thing. The Libs-affiliated soldiers knew this would be a good "exercise" to their future capture operations. They knew that the boss man himself and Mika Jeebs would need to constantly send people out to capture ships in order to field a fleet large enough to strike back at the Empire.

The Libs would move at a slow pace, yet being able to keep up with the Mandalorian warriors...along with the pirates. They allowed the Mandalorians to handle the heavy duty, which was good because then they would have a better time of watching their back just in case the Imperials decide to sneak up from the behind. Which led them to the turbolift without much difficulty, and the pirates had been assigned to guard the turbolift. It was clear that they were the bantha fodder of the entire party. However, because of the size of the turbolift, the Libs would have to wait for their turn. It was a risky move, because the Mandalorians may need some help in overtaking the bridge. It also could give them an element of surprise, because the crew within the bridge probably would be occupied with fending the Mandalorians off.

The soldiers would order the lone freelance slicer to come with them. The Libs didn't want to risk leaving the Mandalorians alone with several pised-off Imperials. So they went on working on a way to find another way into the bridge. There had to be an access hatch where it would lead to the bridge and where they could ambush the bridge crew in sync with their allies. The captain of the squad figured that they would need the slicer just in case the Imperials refused to cooperate with them. The squad had eventually found an access hatch somewhere down the hall near the turbolift. Access hatches usually doesn't have cameras, so the element of surprise would have a good chance of being put in place.

The captain used his blaster rifle to look down and up the hatch, seeing that there were no one inside. Then he was the first one to grab ahold of the ladder. One by one, they immediately move to get on the ladder, with the slicer being the last to get inside the hatch. The squad would begin climbing up the hatch, hoping to get there by the time the Mandalorians would begin their assault on the bridge. The slicer was smart enough to close the hatch, just in case the Imperials came by and saw it open. They may not be as experienced when it comes to close quarters, but ambushes were their specialty.

The Mandalorians may prefer a direct attack, but they will certainly need some help should they get overrun.

There was no resistance towards the group of Mandalorians climbing the shaft nor towards the Libs who were using the access hatches and ventilation system to reach the bridge. However, two of the turbolifts within the bank would show signs of activity and squads of impromptu guardsmen were sent down to engage the attackers. The bridge, at present, was not yet sealed off but soon would be. Those left in the hall would also be treated to the sound of approaching footsteps from further off as another squad moved to begin to pin the intruders against the men who would pour forth from the pair of turbolifts.

(( To Vil Haran and Tremaine's typists: I know you both are very busy; Haran especially when it comes to other characters and Tremaine, well, I'm assuming real life grabbed you. To make it a bit easier, I'm planning on summarizing the ending. Let me know if it is acceptable. ))

IN SUMMATION:

The joint Mandalorian-pirate-Libs attack on the bridge is successful. Captain Gregory Rossfelt of the Imperial Navy is taken captive, along with several members of his bridge crew who survive the firefight. Seven pirates, five Libs members and four Mandalorians perish in the fight, along with an additional nineteen Imperial wardens and crew. The Lockdown is effectively captured, but not before giving the distress call to the Abrion Sector escort vessel Dorash that they were assaulted by Mandalorians. The Mandalorians escape with their prize and the Dorash, having suffered enough damage to cause need for hyperdrive repairs and communications repairs, is unable to pursue or send word for an additional three days to any help.

((Sorry, with school piling on, other post running through my head and the car crash I was in on Friday this entire thing just slipped my mind. I apologize and will try to get to post more frequently in the future. As for the completion, It looks good to me and I have nothing really to say against it, so I'll accept the numbers and the losses to the Mandos. I'll also be taking about 30 of the prisoners, Tremaine can have the rest))
