Captain Gregory Rossfelt rolled out of his bed and onto his feet, giving a yawn and then a stretch prior to removing his crisp uniform from the nearby closet and donning it. Today was the leaving day. His vessel, the Lockdown, was a Kiltirin-class dungeon ship set to depart Roon with a thousand souls within its cells; a bare two-hundred fifty from maximum. The prisoners had been culled from all over the Abrion Sector. There were pirates, undesirable mercenaries, thieves, rapists, aliens and even a good number of Trandoshan slavers who had though to take their human cargo from one of the sector's more profitable worlds. Unfortunately for them, while Moff Cole did little to half the progress of the Empire, he would not compromise his productivity for the sake of a few slavers. A consultation of the manifest also revealed that several of the prisoners were connected to various large-scale criminal groups and even one to the Hutt Cartel. Poor fools, Rossfelt thought as he finished brushing his teeth.

The Lockdown was set to leave Roon alongside an escort of an EF76 Nebulon-B frigate and a customs corvette, all the security they would need on their journey as it seemed to be a blue milk run. When they closed to Dorvalla, elements of the Dorvalla Space Corps would meet with them and increase their escort, as well as cover the transfer of prisoners to the Dorvalla penal facility. All in all, very productive. Personally, Rossfelt could not wait to return back to Imperial Center.

The bridge was bustling with activity as he stepped onto its deck to be greeted with the customary "Captain on deck!" followed by the salutes rendered that he returned. "Carry on, gentlemen. We're set to be through the Cloak of the Sith within two hours so let's not delay." Taking his chair with a certain satisfaction, he watched as his crew worked like a well-oiled machine: precise and without flaw. The minutes ticked down and past and then they were moving, on to hyperspace.

---------------------------------------------
The first stop along their journey was at Manda, just outside of Roon. It was a standard procedure to make a quick halt and ensure that all systems were working correctly after the first jump. Rossfelt had plenty of time, after all. Home to the Baobab family and its merchant fleet, there were sure to be people noticing an Imperial dungeon vessel putting in to run tests and then continue onwards. Rossfelt considered a data slate where one of the wardens on board wrote a report on an exceptionally angry Wookiee. Hm. He'd have to make sure that one was kept full of sedatives and watched. A loose Wookiee was nothing to joke about. One of the other inmates, the one connected to the Hutt Cartel, had been making threats again. It was noted and now it gave Rossfelt a good laugh.

Perhaps two hours passed and then the small group was ready again. Heading out into open space, they cycled up their hyperdrives and prepared to push on to the next jump point.

((I hope you dont mind that we'll be using NPC pirates as back up. We've chosen three Skipray Blastboats for the pirates forces. x2 GAT-12g, and x1 GAT-12j. Along with x5 Mercenary NPCs. Please let me know if you have a problem with this.))

Vil didnt like the idea at all, why couldnt he just send his own ships in, yet with the few men he had, and even fewer ships, the plan seemed sound. He had hired a small group of pirates to help him deal with the dungeon ship. If they didnt survive then Vil wouldnt need to worry about paying the Pirates, if they did, then it would be bad for them as they'd only be paid with a blaster bolt to the chest. After all, they were just pirates and no one would miss them. He let out a silent sigh as he waited for any word of what was going on. He was told by his own men that it would be safer for him to stay away from the fighting. His shuttle waited in a nearby system, keeping their communications open for any word of success or failure as the other shuttles where sent out to deal with the actual operations.

The pirates they had hired were already getting set up, their blastboats moving an asteroid into the projected path, or the one thought of where the Dungeon ship would be passing by, before they slid away and waited in the nearby darkness of a small moon. The ships were equipped with Ion Cannons, a must for any pirating set up, as well as demanded by Vil. He wanted the ships disabled and dead in the water, although the two escorts ship he could careless of if they were torn to shreds. The three ships now waited as they kept their sensors pointed towards the mass barrier that was set up and waiting.

Colonel had been given command of the small group of troops being sent in. He sat quietly in the Nu-Class attack shuttle that was stationed nearby the operating point of the pirates. It was their job to get on the Dungeon ship in the chaos of the fighting as his men checked their weapons and armor before they nodded to him, each of them ready for a fight.

Despite the heavy losses the Libs had taken from Molavar, the secret leader had decided to continue and push things. While the losses were regrettable, he knew casualty had to have a part in war. Especially in a war against a formidable opponent such as the Empire. The Libs had decided to agreed to do a joint attack with the True Crusaders. The Mandalorians and the Libs both have something they want out of this operation. There were another Nu-class attack shuttle, from a close distance away from the first one.

Inside that shuttle, there were a squadron of nine soldiers affiliated with the resistance. There were a tenth member of the squadron, however. That is a freelance slicer that was promised a good amount of credits if he was to help ensure the mission would be successful. The soldiers, along with the slicer, would check their weapons to make sure they were armed and ready to go. Every soldier were given a smaller and lighter, but accurate blaster rifle. The reason for that is because their plan would require being in a lot of enclosed areas. In addition to that, each soldier had a combat knife placed inside their combat boots. The slicer, though, were only given a D18 pistol. His job was not to kill or capture people, but to slice through computer systems.

While they were eagerly awaiting for their next phase of plan to commence, Mika would be on the very same shuttle the leader of the True Crusaders would be on. She would anxiously await the news of their success...or failure.

(( No issue, Vil. An excellent choice of backup. I'm rather fond of the Skipray myself. ))

Captain Rossfelt was shaving when disaster struck; he'd nicked himself shaving! Grumbling about the matter, he pressed a cloth to the side of his neck. Then he was on the floor, with no recollection as to how he'd arrived there. The lights overhead were flickering, a bad sign, and Rossfelt pulled himself to his feet. Still half-shaven, he quickly made his way to the bridge, which was bustling with activity. "Status report, gentlemen."

"Mass shadow from a rogue asteroid, sir. It seems to have wandered into our path. No major damage to any of the systems. Shields engaged as per protocol. The Talla reports minor issues with its power plant. Efficiency is down to eighty percent and the Dorash suffered a few injuries among the crew. One of the TIEs broke loose of its bracket and bounced around a bit. It's going to need repairs before it can be placed back on flight status."

Rossfelt nodded at the ensign who'd given him the report. "We were lucky, gentlemen. Let's hope this won't cost us too much time. Deviate course to two one six and continue past this rock. We have prisoners waiting to be delivered."

The delivery though would have to wait, no sooner did the ship stop, than the pirates spring from their place. They knew the targets, knowing that it was the Dungeon ship that was wanted, and not the two escorts. They'd have free rein on those, yet their focus was that prison ship. The Skipray's were small and nimble enough to make the large weapons on the escorts and dungeon ship difficult to keep track of them. They'd have to worry about point defenses, and fighters, yet they had done this enough times that the pilots knew what to look for. The ships moved into their own positions, each of them bringing to bare three Ion Cannons, all nine targeting the Dungeon ship. In a blistering barrage of fire they quickly and successively went off. One after the other as the burst from the weapons struck against the ship, the gunners hoping that the Ion Cannons did their job and shut down the power long enough.

It was at this time that the GAT-12j broke off the attack and took its aim at the Nebulon-B escort Frigate. Bringing its Concussion Missile launchers and Proton Torpedo Launchers up as they took aim. It unleashed a quick barrage from its Ion Cannons, another attempt and hope that they'd shut down the shields as the ship took aim directly at the hanger bay. Unleashing a Proton Torpedo and Concussion Missile, watching them tear through space towards their target before the ship broke off. The other two regrouping with it as they broke off into three different paths, making sure to keep themselves as far apart as possible, and offer as little of a profile as possible. They darted between the escorts and dungeon ship, hoping to make the ships fire on each other, if an attempt to fire on the nimble craft was made.

It was in this chaos that the first Nu-Class Attack Shuttle made its move, hoping that the shields on the Dungeon ship had gone down, or were damaged enough to let a ship slid through from a momentary surge of power to try and reestablish the shields. The craft moved closer as it approached the Dungeon ship, its own speed more than enough to help keep it out of any real danger as it quickly dipped down under the customs corvette before pulling up and heading back to its target. Its run being covered by the Skiprays as they quickly strafed the enemies ships with Ion Cannon fire. The GAT-12j once more unleashing a Torpedo and Missile at the Nebulon as the other two fired a pair of Torpedoes at the customs ship.

The captain that would be assigned to lead the squad of freedom fighters, along with a slicer, would oversee the pirates making their move through the cockpit window. Clearly, the pirates the Mandalorian had hired were the experienced ones. They clearly had done this before. They had gone over the plan beforehand, but to see the pirates execute them so well...he couldn't help but put a small smile on his face. Both the pilot and the copilot would assist in moving this Nu-class Attack Shuttle for the Dungeon ship.

The shuttle would follow the first one, by pushing its speed to aid in avoiding any laserfire that might have come their way. If the TIE fighters would come their way, it was the Blastboats' responsibility to keep them company as well. The shuttle would dodge left and right if there were any TIE fighters gunning for it. As it was following the another shuttle closer to the Dungeon ship, the captain looked back at his squadron. "Double check your rifles and prepare for our open phase of the mission!" He barked out the order, as the soldiers nodded in compliance of his order. They would do so, according to his orders, and get themselves ready should they reach the hangar bay of the Dungeon ship.

The pirates had launched an expert attack, but while luck was with them in some ways, it had departed them in others. The shield generator of the Kiltirin, which was an old ship as it was, had been slightly faulted by the sudden reappearance into realspace. It had been damaged wiring that had not brought the fault to the technician's attention upon initializing a scan of the ship's systems, and even had it been noted, the sudden ferocity of the attack would have caused it to be overlooked. The initial barrage of ion cannon fire punched through the flickering shields like a knife through butter, rendering the Lockdown dead in space, at least for the time being. For the moment, they were safe from the weapons on one vessel. Fortunately, there was an emergency generator that kept the prisoners in their holding cells in the event of a loss of main power; there would be no easy breakouts today for those evil men.

The pirates were far less lucky when it came to the EF76. The Dorash was much, much newer than the old dungeon ship, and its shields were quite strong. The vessel rocked under the ion cannon fire, but starship-grade cannon, even coupled with a single proton torpedo and a concussion missile, were not enough to breach the ship's shields. Quicker to respond and react, the pilots scrambled to their fighters, for they'd been in the bay when dragged from hyperspace, and quickly launched, one after another, until eleven TIE fighters were formed up for battle. The Skipray may well be a fast and agile craft, more so than many others, in atmospheric flight, but it boasted a relatively low sublight speed, one that gave the TIEs tremendous advantage. It might well be agile and swift, but a twenty-five meter target was a large target indeed. With twelve laser cannons to bring into the fight, it wasted no time opening fire. Darting between the trio of ships would only work so much; the Lockdown was the middle vessel, with the Talla to its front and the Dorash to its rear. The Dorash was maneuvering as she fired on the attackers, trying to come along the port side of the Lockdown. Luckily, the second torpedo fired at the Dorash was brought down by laser fire, but the concussion missile hit home in the engine section, weakening the shields further. If the shuttles were approaching from the port side of the Lockdown, they would certainly find their way blocked, but an attack from the starboard would prove more beneficial.

The Talla, now, was a much lighter vessel. At one-hundred eighty meters, it was perfect for assaulting freighters and starfighters alike, and it's six double turbolaser turrets engaged the trio of Skipray whenever there was a clear shot. The ship had been maneuvering to turn when it was struck by the four proton torpedoes. Its power plant, already operating at lower amount, was not up to such punishment. The shields dropped to a mere twenty percent and its captain rapidly began to maneuver away from the fight, rather than towards. With some distance and a few minutes to recharge, it could come back to the fray, but as it maneuvered, its weapons still fired when possible, snapping shots at the Blastboats.

On the Lockdown, Rossfelt called for order. It was assumed this was a reprisal raid from someone wanting to rescue the prisoners. Technicians were dispatched to get the power back up and running, while weapons lockers were opened and security teams dispatched to the pair of primary airlocks; the ship had no hangar, after all, so trying to land in one would be pointless. For now, he could only hope there was a chance someone would call for help.

The Skiprays could smell the weakness in the air, the moment that the Talla broke off from the main battle due to its shields, was the moment they attacked. The three ships knew that TIE fighters were inbound, making their current goal a much needed focus as they quickly came up against the Talla. The Skiprays weaved back and forth through the fire, hoping that some of the rounds over shot and struck one of the other ships as they approached. When they got close enough they unleashed the Ion Cannons again, a blistering barrage of nine Ion Cannons all went off, each of the blast with hopes of shutting down the shields. After the initially attack run the Skiprays broke off before they came back around, each of them unleashing a Proton Torpedo, the three warheads tearing through space, targeted along the spine of the ship as the GAT-12j fired a Concussion missile, hoping that it would impact in the engine bank.

They began to double back for another attack before they all broke off, letting the TIE fighters pass between the three as they began to lead them through out the fight. They quickly blast pass the ships, tearing through the space between them as they would weave and curve from the blaster fire. Knowing that the larger ships were being selective with their fire to avoid hitting their own fighters and each other. That gave them an advantage, they'd need not worry about having to get through a Gauntlet of fire. The GAT-12j dropped into a steep dive above the Talla, once more targeting the ship as it unleashed a barrage of weapon fire, unleashing all its weapons against the ship before it pulled away. Flying along the top of the ship as it avoided the Turbolasers before it rolled over on the other side, dropping down before doubling back to start up an attack on the Dorash. The Skiprays all taking aim as they began to unleash a barrage of Ion fire against the ship, aiming for its engine section.

The Nu Class attack shuttle quickly moved towards the Dungeon ship, seeing that it didnt have a hanger bay, a let down to the men inside, even though it meant they'd get more fun with attack. The second thought to come to mind was the air locks, yet that was too easy, and they were likely guarded on the inside. They could hook up and throw a fragmentation grenade or two in there, it was clear enough now that they'd be alerted to the attacks and waiting for one. Yet they knew of a way to really surprise the enemy. The Nu Class attack shuttle quickly inverted as it dove down, spinning upside down as they approached the soft underside of the Dungeon ship. Taking a guess the armor was weaker there as it approached. It slowly made its way as it began to make its own landing, the wings folding as it attached itself to the underside of the Dungeon ship. The clamps locking down against the plating as the docking tube made an air tight seal.

One of the Pirates that was on board opened the docking tube, sliding down the ladder as another dropped an F-187 Fusioncutter down to the pirate who began to work. He tuned the beam of the cutter tot he perfect beam he needed as he began to cut through the platting, slowly making a large enough circle for the others to come through. He had done this before, making it seem like it was a relative short time for him to cut through the hull with the fusion cutter as he leaned back and kicked at the circle he cut until it gave way, cracking and breaking as it dropped in. He passed his cutter back up before being handed a blaster rifle as he leaned over and looked around, first aiming through the hole and checking it. He pulled out a knife he carried with him, wanting to be careful as he pulled out a mirror and with the proper application of some chewing gum placed the mirror on the knife. He stuck it into the hole, slowly moving it around and checking to make sure the coast was clear below.

The pilot of the Nu class attach shuttle was lucky to have been able to put the ship down on the underbelly of the large Dungeon ship. They were also hoping that in the chaos the scanners of the ships had been knocked out and would make finding their shuttle difficult. Of course one would need to know where to look, and as long as no one flew under or looked too closely to the underside they should be safe.

The Nu-class shuttle would keep on following the other one, spinning upside down. The pilot would manage to find a place to use the clamps to tighten their unusual landing. The crew were disappointed there weren't a hangar bay, but it wasn't completely surprised they didn't have one. The Dungeon ship's purpose was to ferry prisoners. That meant they might have to sacrifice hangar bays as a way of preventing them from escaping should they break out. A F-187 Fusioncutter would be handed to the slicer, as the docking tube made its way to touch down on the underside of the Dungeon ship.

The slicer went to work, using the cutter to create a hole slightly smaller than the circle that the docking tube would have. Only slightly, though. When that was done, the slicer would grab ahold of the ladder. A couple of the soldiers would kneel down and point their rifles down, aiming for beyond the hole. They were doing it to provide some cover should the slicer come under fire while borrowing a combat knife from one of the soldier as a mirror to look beyond the hole. If the Imperial convoy had noticed both shuttles clamping down on the Dungeon ship, then the Libs and the True Crusaders, along with the pirates, would have to act fast to get to a favorable position before the Imperials swarm around them.

The Skiprays might have indeed caught a whiff of weakness, but it was apparent that the pirates had not thought far enough ahead in some matters. When the trio of attackers broke off to re-engage the Talla, the Dorash took advantage of the lull in combat to shoot off two distress calls. One was back to the Abrion Sector, which was still relatively close. The second was ahead to the Dorvalla Space Corps. It was more likely that Abrion Sector forces would respond first, but the important part was that the attackers now had a window in which they would be forced to operate. The hired-on pirates could hardly be faulted; Cole's men did have a reputation for fighting off raiders of this type and knowing what to do in certain situations came as second nature to them.

The Talla's captain was no fool either, despite the relatively small size of the craft he captained. Fleeing at an angle had placed the pursuing craft with open space as a background, which meant the Talla could fire without fear of hitting a background ship. Unfortunately, the ion cannons finally did their work against the ship's already weakened shields, setting the Talla adrift while on board, its technicians and crew desperately began trying to make repairs and get the power back online. By the time the trio had turned back to the Dorash, though, they might well find they had a nasty surprise. The EF76 had maneuvered away from the Lockdown, placing itself well away from the dungeon ship so as to not fear the use of its weapons. The EF76 had distinguished itself in many skirmishes galaxy-wide against fighters and bombers alike, rapidly gaining a reputation for being able to swiftly and efficiently dispatch smaller craft; smaller craft being the key in that the Skipray Blastboat was more of a mid-size craft, and quite able to be tracked and fired upon by the Dorash's turbolasers and laser cannons alike.

By the time they had lined up, locked on and fired their trio of proton torpedoes and a concussion missile, they would find themselves in a veritable firestorm from six or seven of the twelve turbolaser cannons that could be brought to bear, as well as shots from four or five laser cannons. The laser cannons, six in all, rapidly switched targets to the warheads as they were launched, concentrating on the proton torpedoes and downing two of the three. The concussion missile that struck the shielded engine bank did not penetrate; the shields were at seventy-eight percent still on the vessel, but it had done its job to chip away at them. The last proton torpedo struck home along the spar, dropping the shields a further five percent, but thankfully not penetrating. Wise crews of an EF76 knew its major weakness and strove to overcome it in one form or another. It wouldn't help much that the TIE fighters, instead of swarming in a frontal attack, had massed 'above' the trio of ships as they made their firing run on the Dorash and dove downwards, firing at one of the GAT-12g craft in a massed group before pulling up to circle around, never having even crossed the line of fire from the Dorash.

Assuming it survived the barrage of fire from the frigate, the GAT-12j would have an easy target against the disabled Talla; it's mass of fire impacting the port-side 'arm' and splintering it cleanly off; the resulting minor explosions sending the ship into a slow spin as atmosphere vented and the surviving crew attempted to lock down the bulkhead doors and continue powering back up the reactor. When the trio came around again, they'd find every gun that could be brought to bear, which was a majority at eight turbolaser cannons and seven laser cannons, firing at them. Their own attack run would be fraught with danger from above as the eleven TIE fighters, still too smart to be drawn into a chase, assaulted from above. While ion cannon fire may strike well enough along the rear, the starboard-side shields facing away from the fight at present were channeled to the rear port to make up for the assault upon them.

There were certain problems with boring a hole into the underside of any ship. As the pair of cutter teams in the shuttles would learn, the portion they'd chosen to cut into should have at least been checked or scanned, for they'd both bored right into the rather extensive sewage and waste tanks, and the crews in the docking tubes would find themselves rather in a pickle as the tubes would fill rapidly with sewage and all manner of disgusting things that had been freed by the release of pressure. They would have a mess and need to move slightly more forwards and try again, providing of course, they could save the men in the tube from drowning and then retract said tube. If not for that mishap, the idea did have merit.

On the Lockdown, the team of engineers working at the reactor had it hooked to a number of portable power supplies, attempting to jump-start the ship, so to speak, but without much luck yet.

The pirates had dealt with their victims sending off distress calls before. This time they were ready for such an action, while it wouldn't completely stop the messages from breaking through, they were still able to intercept them, giving the pirates a bit more time to fight, than had they not. This short window that gave them through the interception, as well as knowing that the distress call had gone out caused them to redouble their efforts. The three ships quickly broke off from their attack when they found themselves being met with a wall of fire. Two of them got lucky, able to dodge through the coupled fire by diving straight down, the third though, one of the two GAT-12g Skiprays wasnt as lucky. The ship was hit, although a grazing blow, it was still a problem as the spinning ring on the back began to jam and jitter, a fire breaking out soon enough as they knew they wouldn't be of much use, and would be more of a hindrance to the mission, than any help. The pilot knew this as he looked to his crew, the on board surge from the grazing strike having killed two of his crew, the resulting fire on board having killed the third. The pilot took aim at the Dorash. The pilot knew what was coming as he quickly flew at the ship. He skillfully dodged from the on coming fire as he came in closer.

At the last moment the pilot kept his eyes on his target, his ship sparking and burning as he closed his eyes. The ship slamming into the Dorash as a large explosion tore it apart. The pilots last hope was to try and damage the shields, or cause some kind of problem to the Dorash. It was difficult to say though if it really would do anything, even with the shields still up on the ship, yet it was the pilots last action as the GAT-12g was no more. The other two Skiprays watched on as they saw their fellow pirates ram their damaged ship into the Dorash, knowing there was no hope to help them as they quickly broke off and dove down, moving under the Dorash before they quickly spun up and began to fire a blistering barrage of their Ion Cannons at the belly of the Dorash. Their weapons unleashing a hellfire attack as they continued to target the underside. As they got too close they quickly broke off and dove back down. Their attacks now switching between the Dorash to the Talla. They saw how the ship was slowly spinning, their chance to finally get one of the escorts out of the way as they unleashed another attack of Proton Torpedoes and Concussion missiles against the ship. Hoping to finish it off.

When it was found where the hole lead, one of the pirates on board the shuttle managed to grab the fusion cutter before he hit the button to close the door. The docking hatch shutting and sealing before the tube pulled back, the contents with in being sucked and pulled out into the vacuum of space as the shuttle pulled away. They remained below the ship, once more moving up further away, their scans now running over the bottom as they found the end of the tanks, stopping just next to what looked like a cargo room. Once more the ship slowly lowered its self, the docking clamps holding tightly to it as the docking tube once more closed against the hull, pressurizing as the pirate that had grabbed the fusion cutter opened the door. He slid down as he began cutting again, slowly cutting another hole into the ship. When the hole was cut, he stepped back, moving as he had his hand on the command to shut off the arm where it met with the ship. His boot hitting the heavy plating as he began to kick at it, this time hoping that it was the cargo hold they thought they found.

The Force was not with the pilot of the dying GAT-12g; nor was it ever likely to be, considering the short time he had remaining. It was clear to the TIE fighters that there was blood in the proverbial water; the cannons on the Dorash had done their work and smoke visibly emerged from the damaged Blastboat. Even as he throttled up, one of the TIE pilots, thinking to gain his fifth kill and become an ace, maneuvered foolishly further down into the lines of fire and was clipped by a stray shot from one of the laser cannons on the EF76. The blow was glancing, but enough to tear off one of the solar ionization wing panels. Overcompensating as he tried to recover his vessel's erratic flight path, the pilot only succeeded in dropping his ship directly down... and directly into the onrushing Skipray. Now shields could protect a craft from some impacts, but if the GAT-12g was already aflame and damaged that badly, the odds of shields even remaining, much less protecting from such an impact, would be small. More than likely, with the Skipray having little in the way of warning of the collision, both craft would explode in a rather spectacular ball. This brought the odds against the remaining Skipray pilots down slightly, only a five-to-one ratio against them.

The Dorash's shields, down to seventy-three percent, would be down to sixty-one after the next ion cannon run, but the captain, wise in the ways of combat, spread them out once more along the vessel. The pirates though, had made a foolish mistake. The Talla was a near-dead vessel. Disabled, a good portion of one of its bow spars blown off and spinning, it was no threat to the fight. Indeed, the final proton and concussion missile barrage completed the destruction of the Talla, consuming all hands on board in its fiery death. The break in the fighting though had allowed the ten remaining TIE fighters to split up. Five of the fighters now accelerated towards the rear of the pair of Skiprays, their cannons lighting up the space around the ships as they attempted to bring them down, while the other five circled wide, using superior speed over the Blastboats to try and attack them from their left flank, pinning them in-between and giving the Dorash time to maneuver further away from the Lockdown and bring more of its cannons to bear. Inside the EF76, the mood was still tense, but they'd downed one of the enemy, and there was still plenty of fight left in them.

On board the Lockdown, the technicians had managed to gain enough reactor power to operate the sensors and comms on the vessel; weapons would be coming online before long and after that, shields and engines. The second Mandalorian attempt would bring them into the cargo hold as they'd planned, but now both hull breaches registered on the dungeon ship's bridge. Rossfelt could take no chances; perhaps his ship had been struck while the sensors were down, or perhaps it was more sinister. Ten men were sent towards either breach with instructions to repel boarders and patch the holes as best as possible. Pirates, they assumed, would be easy to repulse.

The two Skiprays quickly became aware of their new situation, the TIE fighters behind them with another set of five coming up quickly on their flank. The two pilots of the ships quickly rolled to the left, spinning down and under the Dorash before they came shooting up on the other side. When they reached their arch at the top of their flight, they dove straight down into the Dorash, quickly firing off a burst of their ion cannons, followed by the proton torpedoes and concussion missiles. As they entered into the end of the dive they pulled up and did a quick run across the top of the Dorash dodging the weapons fire as they fired at the large arrays that protruded from the top of the ship. The Skiprays quickly rolled down on each side as they dove away from the ship, heading straight down as they both split into two different archs, splitting up the TIE fighters that came after them, keeping them away from them while trying to bring them into the range of the Dorash cannons as they continued their path, only pulling up as they came up and targeted the Dorash's engines.

The crew were right, in their own mind at least int he current mind set. It would be very easy to repulse pirates, yet a strike team of Mandalorians was something else. As the last of the pirates pulled themselves up into the cargo hold, the Mandalorians pulled themselves up into the hold, securing it as they stood at the door. Two of the Mandalorians looked down the hall, seeing the silhouettes of the guards coming down the hall. The Mandalorians nodded to each other, knowing they could handle what was to come. They didnt care about the pirates, to them they were a means to an end. The other Mandalorians of the strike group kept the pirates distracted as the two at the door pulled two of the frag grenades on their belts off.

The next thing the ten guards in the hall would hear, would be the tell tale sign of clicking as the metal grenades bounced down the hall. They bounced against the hallway walls before they came to a rest just in front of the guards. An explosion announced the boarding of the ship, more so than any sensor that told of a breach in the hall could. The explosion alone should warn those on board that it wasn't just pirates that had come on.

The shuttle had followed another shuttle to the current destination, already having the slicer cutting down the hole. Indeed, it was very easy to repulse pirates. The pirates were good with space combat, but not when it comes to getting the pirates to use the guns themselves. However, the Imperials didn't know it would be the Mandalorian warriors combating them, with a very organized resistance fighters in the Libs as the back-up. Even though the alarm would set off, and their presence alerted to the rest of the ship, they still have an advantage.

The Libs' squadron would get onboard the ship, close behind the Mandalorian warriors. Since they would let the Mandalorians deal with the guards that came from the mentioned direction, they'd turn their rifles the opposite way in case the Imperials had the jump upon them from the opposite direction. The next thing the squadron heard was an explosion, not far from where they are. The captain of the squadron would bark out, "Let's move! We gotta do this before they realize how good we really are at this!"

The squadron was prepared to move when the Mandalorians are ready to move. It's best if both squadrons have their back to each other to increase the odds of survival, but they would have to move pretty quickly.

Rolling to the right would have been a far better option for the Blastboats. Rolling to the left simply put them below and in line with the TIEs closing from their left flank, who simply dropped their noses, so to speak, and opened fire, following the pair of craft and strafing them mercilessly. The combined weapons fire from the fighters had to be having some effect. As well, they would have a few moments unhindered as the Talla had not been all that close to the Dorash, which meant that to dive down under the EF76 was to fall under the massed fire once more. If they took the time to notice their sensors, they would see as well that the second group of fighters had not pursued them. The pirates, it seemed, had become predictable in their attacks. They dove under and then came around and struck the top. To this end, the second group had flipped over and around and now dove from above the Dorash, firing at the pair of craft from three different angles now: the Dorash itself, the pursuing TIEs and the TIEs firing at an angle from above.

If, by some chance, they were not forced to break off their attack and were able to make a close-range missile and proton torpedo run, the hits would indeed strike home. Of course by now, the pair had to have expended the large majority of their ordnance between the Talla and the previous strikes on the Dorash. The shields would be down to forty-eight percent now, and the Dorash had suffered some damage to both its primary communications array and short-range communications array from the ion cannon strikes. Of course, this would only occur if they had been brave enough and lucky enough to survive the massed trap fire from three groups of attackers. The TIE fighters would follow them as well if they split off, five following each craft.

With a crew of one-hundred fifteen and an extra fifty security wardens, many of the men on-board the Lockdown had combat experience in one form or another, but not all, unfortunately; perhaps one in eight had seen battle during the Clone Wars. The group of ten men, hearing the clattering, had paused and looked around, but three or four in the back had been lagging; when the fragmentation weapons went off, shredding the six men in front (four killed outright, two wounded badly), these men were lucky enough to be blocked from the blast by their compatriots. All four opened fire wildly down the passage as they retreated, one screaming about being boarded.

On the bridge, Captain Rossfelt grunted. At least he knew where they had breached from. "Send two more teams to intercept them. Arm anyone who can shoot and divert half the wardens. What's the status on the guns?"

"Just a few more moments, sir."

"Good. Let's give these pirates a taste of Imperial might."
