| Kuantar had made a favorable donation to Njon once before; it seemed a good time to pay them another visit and glean some profits for themselves this time. Nothing about the LGMC had made the news, and word around the proverbial campfire was that no Imperial vessels had been spotted in said area. As such, it was assumed it was safe to 'come in hot' so to speak.
The Stars of Arcadia did just that, dropping out of hyperspace some eight kilometers from the Baas-class station, the ARC-170 and ATR-6 beside it. As per the crew's procedure, the ship began to spin up its hyperdrive as soon as it emerged. This action was preceded by the signal jammer being activated, blocking the station from using long-range systems to call for help.
Hejin, on the bridge, hailed the station. "Gentlemen, your company was so good to us before that we wanted to pay another visit. Shall we do business again? Drop your shields and prepare to transfer over some of your gas."

| The last time this had happened, the Loyalist Gas Mining Company were taken off guard. Because of this, they had decided to purchase eight V-wings starfighters from the Empire. While Clone Wars-era starship designs could be effective, the Empire would rather sell them in favor of using newer ones. Ones that were of Imperial designs. Due to the station's choice of location, it's imperative they need some sort of defenses. They had laser cannons to defend themselves if they need to.
While they would warm the laser cannons up, they had launched all eight V-wings. Each pilot would have an astromech droid ready to assist them if they need it in combat situations. An ARC-170 and an ATR-6 had appeared on the scope, along with a heavily-armed freighter. Sure, every single of them have powerful shielding and has more weaponry. However, the V-wings would prove difficult since they were far more maneuverable and much faster.
This time they weren't going to give the supplies up without a fight, especially not when some of their profits goes to a resistance group in the Outer Rim. The V-wings would begin firing at the party right away, a total of sixteen laser bolts would head for the three ships. They were flying in a 'V' formation before they had split up into teams of two.

| Comparing the Stars of Arcadia to a freighter was akin to comparing a TIE fighter to a Star Destroyer. The ship was far more close to a cruiser class; designed to hunt and kill and outrun anything it couldn't outfight. With the Baas station seemingly better equipped this time, Hejin's pirates settled in for the long haul. By the time the station had launched all eight V-wings, the pair of Y-TIEs would have left the docking clamps alongside the larger vessel, placing all four smaller craft Hejin had available at the ready. Unfortunately for the station, which seemed to have placed armaments about itself, the pirates had no intention of closing the distance further. Eight kilometers put its snubfighters and shuttle out of easy hitting chance for the station's gunners, while the heavy turbolaser cannons of the ship could easily reach out and touch at that range. It gave the smaller craft the benefit of staying under the protection of the Arcadia's anti-starfighter cannons as well, while forcing the V-wings to close in. It also didn't help that all of the pirate vessels carried warheads, while the best the defensive craft could muster were laser cannons.
As the V-wings came into attacking range in their formation, The ARC-170, flown by Genkai with one of Hejin's men in the rear seat, jinked almost effortlessly to the side, dodging the shots intended for his ship as he opened back up on the formation, unleashing a pair of bolts at the leftmost set of V-wings in the formation before breaking wide to engage a pair as they split off.
The pair of Y-TIEs who had not been targeted but were now flanking the Arcadia opened fire with their quartet of laser cannons, aiming to strafe the rightmost portion of the formation. Their extra guns would serve to help scatter the attacking craft, who outnumbered them by three, but had no real weapons advantage. The ATR-6 was a sturdier beast. It was reputed to be able to withstand up to three proton torpedoes; a few lasers splattering against its forward shields were but a gnat's bite. The pilot adjusted the rear shields accordingly to bolster the front, and the gunners cut loose with both ion cannons and all four turreted turbolaser cannons. It began to maneuver as well, so as not to provide an easy shot for the snubfighters.
The Stars of Arcadia, with Hejin on the bridge and Rommel overseeing the gunners was another matter. Thirteen of it's twenty-six laser cannons could be brought to beat on the snubfighters and indeed they were, showering the swifter, but more vulnerable craft with rather accurate laser fire. From a different set of consoles, a trio of triple heavy turbolaser cannons opened fire on the station itself. If need be, the larger ship would unleash concussion missiles and proton torpedoes as well, but it was not deemed the time. It was more than likely that once the LGMC's station's shields came down, they'd give up rather easily. Hejin simply shrugged off the blows of the V-wings against his vessel's shields. They were stinging, but no more.

| The squadron had already scattered when the Y-TIEs would bring their laserfire toward the rightmost portion of the formation. Indeed, their extra guns had helped scatter the V-wings. In an unorthodox way, the LGMC's security were outnumbered. Since they couldn't outgun the small convoy, they decided they would have to outfly. A couple of V-wings had managed to evade the laserfire of the Ugly models. However, the squadron didn't go off completely unscathed. The ATR-6 assault craft would begin to rain both of their deadly ion and laserfire.
In addition to that, there were thirteen separate laser fire that would add to the beating. Five of eight V-wings suddenly went up into balls of flame. It wasn't completely their fault, though. The pilots were nothing more than cheaply hired security pilots that were barely trained, which is very common among corporate security in the Outer Rim. The pilots were handed fly toys that were simply beyond their level of talent. The remaining three would deploy the proton bombs, about six of them, toward the cruser-like ship. However, right after deploying them, they'd turn the fighters around and ran straight for the Baas Station.
Of which by the time, their shielding would take some beating from the very same ship. Indeed, they would give up once the shields goes down. But it hasn't come down just yet. The station had no choice but to fire back, using eight of its laser cannons. The reason they would give up is because it's better to lose some profit rather than the entire thing when the station explodes...no doubt from the cruiser's fire should the station continue its defiant stand.

| The problem with the proton bombs was that they relied largely on the inertia of the craft launching them, and their propulsion was very weak. As such, they were best launched quite close to the target, almost under the guns of the ship, so to speak. These pilots, while having broken formation, had come nowhere truly close to the Stars of Arcadia. The cruiser's laser cannons did for four of the bombs and Genkai, with the same lazy precision, used stand-off tactics to fire and destroy the other pair while remaining well outside their blast radius. Such weapons were powerful; deadly powerful, and had the ship not possessed smaller weapons, it would have been near-impossible to shoot them down. As it was, the long range and the lack of speed meant such weapons were not properly deployed, unfortunately. Torpedoes, concussion missiles or even heavy rockets would have had a better chance of reaching through.
Eight laser cannons stung the Arcadia, while another barrage from the trio of turrets, nine heavy turbolaser cannons in all, would smash out at the station. Hejin shook his head and activated comms with them again. "I'll ask once more: drop your shields, what's left of them, power down your weapons and prepare to transfer cargo to us. You shot at us though, and it's going to cost you extra this time. Depending on how soon you stop depends on how much extra it will cost you."

| The station knew they wouldn't be able to deal with the laserfire much longer. In addition to that, they would have to raise the shields down in order to let the remaining V-wings in. The man in charge of the station would let out a heavy sigh, turning on the radiotransmitter. "Alright, alright. I'll shut the shields down." Within moments, the station would drop their shields. As the V-wings would scramble all the way back into the docking bay, they would wait for the pirates to come and steal their supplies once again so they would be on their merry way.

| "Now that's a reasonable man, sir." Hejin's voice was soothing. "If you'd be so kind, please have the pilots of your remaining three V-wings exit their craft with their personal belongings; we will be holding on to those for you. Call it a gesture of goodwill and faith. We don't want any accidents like that in the future, and it was regrettable that we had to destroy five lives for us to reach this conclusion. We're not a bloodthirsty band, my friend, but we don't like being treated with such hostility.
"Keep in mind that any attacks on our men as they come to retrieve the fighters and... well, I'd hate to see this fine station become a graveyard. I can't imagine how many people live there. Send out your droid loaders and tugs. I don't quite feel like coming too much closer. Just a precaution, you understand. Any ships approaching mine will be scanned. Expect the transport to land in your hangar. Three of my pilots will be aboard. A pleasure doing business with you."
The ATR-6 would ease forwards, heading towards the station and indeed, at any sign of funny business, Hejin was ready to blow the station apart. The tugs with the gas would be permitted to dock with the Arcadia, pending a scan, and then once inside they contents would be checked again. Explosive packages would be found if any existed.

| The station manager simply replied in a "Yes, sir." fashion. The tugs would be sent out, along with the droid loaders. The pilots would come out of their V-wings, showing that they would uphold their end of the bargain. There were quite a few explosive packages, but there weren't many though. However, no doubt the pirates would gladly taken it off their hands.

| Any explosives hidden within the gas would be neutralized before being brought on board the ship. No explosions would shut down the Arcadia today. Once the pilots were aboard the vessels, they would be flown out, alongside the ATR-6. The four ships would then depart the station and rendezvous with the Arcadia, whereupon Hejin would thank the station's master once again and all vessels would head out-system, the V-Wings and Y-TIEs locking onto the larger ship and then the three remaining with hyperdrives would depart the system, leaving the station behind once more.
