| A shuttle dropped out of hyperspace, carrying the Druckenwell aide bound to meet with Agapos the Ninth. The Arquetins cruiser Tide moved to escort the craft into Monor II space proper. No chances were being taken with Eos vessels there. "Monor II Control, this is shuttle X-1156 bearing Randall Tark, emissary of Druckenwell. We request clearance for landing."

| The Monor II landing control would inform the envoy that the Priest Prince was regrettably engaging where the Eos Forces had been and would meet the envoys as soon as he has rectified the problem.

Monor II control would dispatch a pair of Toscan Fighters to escort the X-1156 to the ground, it would be given the honour of landing in the Palace's own hangars, alongside the King's own IPV-1. The Envoy would be taken into a room to prepare to meet the king, there he would be scanned and would bathe comfortably, before being allowed to dress in a simple white suit and flip flops. He would then be given some incense to burn on the Altar of the Priest Prince, presided over by a deacon to assure he performed all of the rituals correctly.
After the formalities had been gone through, the envoy would be lead through a throne room rather more resembling a cathedral than a throne room. High gothic arches enshrined holographic glass depictions of various scenes from the History of Monor II. As he entered a booming trumpet call would play and the massed ranks of the clergy would begin to sing a te deum to the King. He would be struck by the sickly sweet incense which was spread by the curates about the great room.
The deacon, still assisting the envoy would guide him to walk up the central nave, monks solemnly chanting as they did so. At the far end of the nave, some 200 meters was the gigantic golden throne of the kings, there was seated His Most Holy Majesty Priest Prince Agapos IX, Divine Ruler of Monor II, Lord of the Heavens, Charioteer of the Wagon of the Sun, Steersman of the Barque of the Sun, Guardian of the Secret Knowledge, Lord of the Horizon, Keeper of the Way, the Flail of Mercy, the High Born One, the Never Dying King &c in glory. His red robes shimmering with a pattern reminiscent of an oil slick.
As he approached he would be guided to bow at certain times, then once he came within 20 meters of the throne a wooden screen slid up behind him and the deacon, dulling the music of the choirs somewhat and giving the two a little more privacy, although several senior churchmen were seated alongside the Priest Prince. The deacon whispered in the envoy's ear "Lie on the floor, face down with your arms outstretched, then stand and greet his highness" he would whisper, as the Priest Prince nodded his greeting and spoke "Welcome, envoy of Druckenwell"

| Randall Tark was hardly debased or annoyed by the numerous ceremonies that were required, nor even by the face-down pose that showed supplication. A good envoy well-versed in many cultures, he understood that certain formalities had existed for thousands of years and could not be simply ignored. When he arose, he bowed against at the waist before Agapos. "Your Holiness, it is an honor to come before you to the bountiful world of Monor II on behalf of Druckenwell. I hope that with this meeting, we can further the accords set between Your Holiness and Senator Ryuun for the betterment and safety of all beings of the Doldur Sector and beyond."

| "I apologize for the formalities Mr..." spoke the figure in the throne "Unfortunately, the traditions must be adhered to, or so I am told." he took up the treaty of friendship which he had already proposed to the Druckenwellian and had an aide hand the man a copy. "I had drafted some provisional requirements for any agreement between our governments. It sorrows me that our relationship has been, in the past at least, a turbulent one, and we hope that in future we might work together to further the interests of all freedom loving people, and to give mutual protection to our peoples against corrupt and evil corporations such as E.P.I.C."

| "Tark, Your Holiness. Randall Tark. I have had the opportunity to view the document you hold when it was forwarded to myself by Senator Ryuun. It is a very fair proposal; even now, tugs are on the way to move the station closer to Monor II, as part of the accord. We do, however, as a show of good faith, wish to leave some small force to aid in the defense as your forces and ours might work together for the betterment. After all, if the station is to be half-crewed by Monor II's people and half by Druckenwell, it is only proper that we contribute the same as you, if it pleases Your Holiness."

| "As to that..." Tark's voice trailed off and he looked rather uncomfortable. "We aren't exactly sure why EPIC's vessels have taken up station near our, well, station. We asked for no aid nor have had any communication of any sort with them. Ideally, the tugs will be here within a six-hour span to move the station. I would be wary on engaging EPIC's forces, Your Holiness; I say this not out of cowardice, for Monor II and Druckenwell are joined in mutual defense; we could easily rout what they have here, but could we withstand the ire of the full EPIC corporation? That seedy Moff Verilia runs it, so I hear."

| Not far from where the Druckenwell station lay, and by association the vessels belonging to the Eos Corporation, a small group of ships emerged from hyperspace. A full squadron of R-41 Starchasers formed up, six to either side, of a YZ-775 and a YZ-900, which moved side by side towards Monor II and in a roundabout way so as to avoid both EPIC's vessels and those of Druckenwell, at least for a time. From the YZ-775 came a transmission hailing the planet.
"Monor II Control, this is Alfred Wayn on board the Clotho. I represent Dorvalla Universal in the Monor II branch. You were promised some vessels, I believe, and here they are."

| "Moff Verilia is a mere corrupt tradesman. Even the Empire is presently nailing him to a wall for his lies and deceit. I am fully confident Monor II alone could defeat the forces of EPIC in battle, and I am fully confident that they would flee like frost from a thaw at the advance of a larger fleet such as that of Druckenwell."
Druckenwell control would greet them with a welcoming heart and offer them landing space outside of the Capital in a small geodesic dome built for the purpose. Inside would be comfortable accommodation, food, drink, fuel power and housing, as well as entertainment. A small chapel and priest were also provided in case the offworlders fancied trying the religion of the locals. They were also free to leave the dome and enter the capital. They would be given the access codes to the facilities in the areas they had been allotted, where groups of locals waited for their new management.

| "A corrupt tradesman... well put, Your Holiness. However, he is still an Imperial Moff, with a powerful fleet and Imperial backing. I would not put it past him to attempt some form of blackmail or subjugation. While EPIC may flee from Druckenwell, we are powerless against the combined might of EPIC and any allies it may have of the criminal sort. The Hutts are one group Druckenwell has no interest in fighting against."

| "My agents on Imperial Center inform me he has little Imperial backing, he is an unpopular man. If he were to take his sector fleet outside of his sector to attack worlds in another Sector, I am quite sure that he would be removed from office. However, I do not think it likely to come to that. Moff Verilia is a coward, and his company (like him) is cowardly also, I believe it will fall back when requested to by yourselves as it did once we made aggressive overtures to it.
As for the Hutts, I do not think it likely they would risk intervention in an Imperial Sector for some socially inept and corrupt businessman. I doubt we have much to worry about there. My agents in the Cartel speak to me that he is equally unpopular there, having been known to break contracts with them too."

Perhaps the Eos Corporation will soon be on the market." Tark chuckled slightly and then glanced skywards, almost as if he could see the ships above them. "This leaves us where, Your Holiness? It would seem we have the same accord and good aims, and soon all will fall into place for our peoples. Peace and prosperity in the light of the Empire."
