| A Republic Probe Droid came out of hyperspace at the edge of the Eos System. It carried a diplomatic paintjob from Monor II.
The droid brain opened up communications to the Eos people "====OPEN COMMUNICATION==== THIS IS THE DIPLOMATIC REPRESENTATIVE OF HIS MOST HOLY MAJESTY PRIEST PRINCE AGAPOS IX OF MONOR II, MAY THE MAKER ALLOW HIM TO LIVE FOREVER. WE WISH CONTACT WITH THE RULER OF THE PLANET EOS AND ARE A DIPLOMATIC CARRIER BEARING SUCH A MESSAGE."
The vessel made detailed scans of the system and broadcast them back home, keeping an open communication line to Monor II also, as it approached Eos it commenced to scan its defenses, the area around etc in a fairly invasive manner. From a certain perspective it might seem that the people of Monor II had something planned for Eos. The large hypermatter content (for the return journey) in the crudely rigged engines of the diplomatic courier might also raise attention.. if such a vessel were to ram something, the damage might be serious..

| The vessel wouldn't receive an answer. Its scans would show that Eos was nothing more than a large ball of fire and magma. The rest of the system would also show little to no life unless they were beneath the protection of a shield or a dome set up to deal with the biospheres of the harsh worlds. The vessel itself wouldn't even get close to Eos to take any scans of its defenses, as the probe had been picked up upon leaving hyperspace, two security vessels already on it and stopping it a good distance from the planet, preventing it from coming any closer to the facilities on the world.

The shuttle probe would send that message then attempt to move around the security ships.

| The Vessels would once more move to prevent the probe from moving any further, a simple reply coming back. "It would appear that you can not read scans. There is no ruler of Eos, it is a molten world that bears no life. The only facilities on the planet are that of E.P.I.C. You've over stayed your welcome in this system, leave now, we have nothing to speak of with your leader."

The drone would abortively attempt to move past them again.

| By now, due to the events at Monor II, the E.P.I.C. fleet had already been called back, the vessels dropping out of hyperspace behind the probe as they immediately picked it up on their sensors. The two vessels that already had the probe stopped and preventing it from further movement, and blocking off its flight paths and attempts to advance once more replied. "Eos does not support life. There is no civil power on Eos. It holds nothing less than a mining facility. Any further attempts to reach the planet will be viewed as hostile action and proper defense will be taken."
It was at that moment that the vessels targeted the probe with their weapons, their shields having already been brought up as the fleet began to encircle the probe, leaving it's only exit to be back to Monor II.

| "That makes no sense." spoke the droid. "Every world must have a civil power, or else there is no law? The workers can slaughter as they will? If Eos serves this role, then we have a diplomatic message for the foreman of the facility on the world."
The probe just stayed, edging towards Eos gently in an oblique fashion and scanning the vessels of EPIC intensively and sending the data back, helping for later tactical analyses.

| The two vessels that had first stopped the probe had moved closer, their own targeting systems locking onto the vessel as they deployed tractor beams. They would be cautious though as they began to plot a course for Monor II, intent on dropping off the probe before returning as they locked in the tractor beams on the probe. An other vessel would escort the two to ensure a safe travel as the group of four vessels moved towards a hyperspace jump point, their course laid in for Monor II. The remaining vessels of the EPIC fleet moved closer to Eos to see to its defense as they watched the four vessels depart.

| When tractor beamed, some minutes later the droid received a message from Monor II that it had been overzealous and should return. It signaled its willingness to leave.
