As soon as the can fell on the floor, he looked at Kaylie as she went to search each room on the floor. She came back and told him that there was nothing worth seeing. That could mean one thing. The Separatist is on one of the higher floors, waiting to ambush on whoever came before they got to him. Immediately, Darwin clicked a button on the hilt, a blue glow came to life. "Get your blaster out." He ordered his girlfriend as the Jedi would begin making the first steps up the stairs.

"Anyone there?!" He bellowed, loud enough for anyone in the building to hear. It wasn't the smartest thing, but it was the right thing to do.

Cassi heard the voice and crept down to the landing between floors two and three. She peeked around the corner and sat the bluw glow of a lightsaber coming up the stairs. Without a moments hesitation, she stepped from behind the wall. "I'll give you three seconds to drop that weapon or I start firing!" She hollered back. Her blaster was not set to stun, and she would kill anyone that tried to take her.

"One....two....three!' She started opening fire in the direction of the lightsaber.

The Jedi heard a voice coming from the upstairs. The voice had threatened him. It was nothing he couldn't handle. He has been pointed by a blaster several times before. Especially during the Clone Wars. This had been a flashback course for him, that is if it was the Separatist he came looking for. He may be young but he had fought in the Clone Wars at a very early age. He was a teenager at the time. Despite that, as a Jedi, he had killed several Seps during the war.

It was the fact that he was both a Jedi and a war veteran that helped him defect this attack rather easily. With the Force as his ally, the woman would only see a blue blur. After having defected laser bolts, it took barely a second for his right palm to open up and utilize the Force to pull the lady's blaster toward him. The blue lightsaber was pointed at the lady. "If the Clone Wars hadn't ended, you'd be dead."

Darwin spoke under assumption that she was the Separatist.

While the blaster had been yanked from her hand and flew towards the Jedi, Cassi was not without backup, several backups to be exact. "What do you want? " The woman called out as she kept her back pressed against the wall and out of his sight or line of fire. Of all people, a Jedi came across her signal? She guessed it was better than Imps, but still, Jedi weren't exactly off the radar.

The Jedi's assumption wss proved correct when the lady asked what he wanted. If she wasn't a Separatist, then she would have denied it. Then again, she probably wasn't. The lady probably knew a Separatist-coded signal and just wanted a ride out of there. Who better to hitch a ride than tagging along with a Jedi? Especially one that had fought in the Clone Wars? "I picked up your signal. Instead of shooting at me, maybe you should just come with me to wherever you came from." Darwin pondered whether this lady worked for Shiva. If so, then perhaps another talk with the Shadowlord is needed. If not, then whose Separatist was it that was willing to abandon this lady to fend for herself?

To show a gesture that he wasn't an enemy, but an ally, he tossed the blaster right back to her.

She let out an audible sigh and finally peeked around the corner. "I need to get to Tattooine." She said as she reached for the blaster and holstered it on her thigh, though she did keep her hand on the hilt of the weapon and her finger wrapped around the trigger. Cassi was careful, either way, as she stepped out from behind the wall. Her one arm was in the crude sling and the good one was on the blaster.

"Can you do that?" She asked as she started down the steps cautiously.

The Jedi would deactivate his lightsaber and placed it back into the same inside pocket. Darwin nodded at the Separatist, "Sure, we'll get you to Tatooine then just be on our way." Darwin turned around and looked around rather cautiously as well. The Jedi Padawan did not want to use his Force, to tip off any darksiders in service of the Emperor that might resides on Christophsis. "You're going to need to change into something else, and hide your face. It's a fairly safe bet they already knew what you look like."

"Well I don't have anything else, so we're just going to have to make do, aren't we?" She said as she released her grip on the blaster that was holstered against her. "I would appreciate the lift. I'll make sure my boss reimburses you sufficiently." Cassi offered the girl that was with the Jedi no more than a half of a smile before she moved past her and looked to Darwin.

"Well let's go. I've been here long enough."

Normally, Darwin would say no to earning credits, but credits are scarce. They would be needed for food, fuel, keeping the freighter in shape, and keeping Artie up to date. That's just a scratch on the surface. If the Jedi was going to either find allies so he can fight against the Empire, or find his long lost friend in Jace Varitek, he's going to need credits to spend stuffs on. "Sure, let's get out of here." He'd move down the stairs and toward the exit, walking out without a worry. Nobody actually knew what Darwin looked like. Even if they had, he wasn't dressed like a typical Jedi in the Old Republic days. To strangers, he was a low-level smuggler.

Kaylie has an even easier time getting to places. She was a nobody, and the Empire wouldn't recognize her except if she does something to attract someone. That's very unlikely, Darwin believed. It was the Separatist that he was worried about. He whispered to Cassia that would likely be following him, "Our ship isn't far, we just have to remain alert."

"Well if we stick to the alley ways, it shouldn't be a problem." She would have thought that the Jedi would have known that would be the smartest route to take. So instead of heading right out the front door and into a main street, Cassi pointed out a side entrance/exit that would do nicely.

"So how much do you want?" She asked, casually making conversation. It was obvious that she knew her way around the back alleys, but she had never gone far because she had nowhere to go since her ship was damaged beyond repair. "And which hanger is it?"

The Jedi would let out a sigh, "Alright, if you say so." He went back into the building and the pair followed the Separatist out of the exit at the side of the building. That would place them into one of several alleyways. Then he lightly chuckled, "You obviously don't know the planet well. There's only one hangar bay in this city. Unless someone's been using a private hangar bay." Both Darwin and Kaylie would continue to follow the Separatist, left and right and whatnot. Then the young man shrugged at the Separatist when she asked how much he wanted. "I don't know, maybe ten thousand credits? I'm pretty sure that's far cheaper than what a bounty hunter would have charged you."

They're getting closer and closer to the hangar bay.

"I don't know. Are all Jedi this smart alecked?" She asked after he said she obviously didn't know the city well. No, she didn't, but she had learned some of the back alleys just to get by while she was stuck there. "My ship crashed....else I would have been able to get out of here on my own, thank you very much." She said and just as she did, the hangar bay came into view.

"There we go. I need to contact my boss when we get on board. I am sure he will agree to the price." She said confidently as she continued on and into the hangar.

The Jedi rolled his eyes, he needed to get used to working with a Separatist. "You can contact him once we've entered into hyperspace. We don't want to risk them detecting our transmission while we're flying away." There was a reason he had been so good at hiding. He have had a decade to practice that. Darwin did not like hiding, but he was doing so until the right time. Now that he had found this Separatist, it is possible that he would be needed once more. Only time will tell. The pair continued to maintain their distance from the eyes of the public before eventually reaching the hangar bay. "Hangar bay three."

Darwin would be the first one to move, then Kaylie. With caution, the pair looked in every direction before getting into the hangar bay. He could hear the engines humming. Artie had been keeping it on standby, and guarding the ship. The astromech droid would let out a loud series of beeping. "Shh! Go get the ship ready." He ordered the droid, before the pair would walk up the ramp.

She had really stopped paying attention to darwin at that point. They had really picked up her signal and travelled here in that heap? Cassi kept her mouth shut about it and just walked around the ship to board. "Nice...." She commented, and that was all she said about it.

"You got a med kit on board? I need to clean this up." She indicated to her shoulder that was in the crude sling.

Darwin chuckled when she mentioned that the ship was nice, "Oh yeah, this is the nicest hunk of heap in the entire galaxy." Kaylie would walk ahead and go do her routine watch over the engines. The Jedi maintained his pace toward the cockpit, turning his head only for a moment to answer Cassia's question. "Yeah, there's a box in the main galley." Darwin would eventually get into the cockpit and sit down on the pilot chair. With Artie next to him, the ship was ready and primed to take off. He did just that, bringing the YT-1300 light freighter off the ground and made a break for the atmosphere.

Pretty soon, he had set the coordinates for Tatooine and the ship zoomed into hyperspace.
