| Club Corellia - Empress Teta - 2200 local time
The lights dimmed as the band took the stage; guitarist, ommni box player, bass guitarist, drummer and synthesizer player. Before they began, the lead guitarist stepped forward, suddenly illuminated in a spotlight. "Hey out there people, we just wanna say it's an honor to be here at Club Corellia tonight. We're gonna be playing some new stuff we wrote up as well as some old, including our Core Worlds Music number one hit from earlier this year. We also got a shout-out to Leonard Damar, King of Empress Teta! Rule good, man! So we won't waste any more time talking here. Let's get this going!"
Stepping back, the lights came up and the band broke in to their former chart-topping song. It would be the first of many songs at the prestigious club that night, and the first of many stops within the Teta System.

| Avadrie simply loved Black Star Supernova. It was to her great regret that she was away on Senate business, or else she'd be sure to have made it to Club Corellia to catch one of her favorite bands in action. She settled in this case, for having her older sister - of all people - attend for her and record it.
There were only so many stops for the band to make, as currently only Phoros and Empress Teta were habitated, along with their moons. It was of course in King Leonard's plans to colonize the other worlds that he held claim to as the sovereign of the Empress Teta system, but that was to come.
A message would also be delivered to the band after the show, from the office of the Tetan Senator herself, asking if they were available for private showings.

| While it was true that the inhabited planets within the Teta System were few, the band was taking its time on each round of clubs, with plans for gatherings in actual concert setups, meaning not only that Avadrie might well have a chance to attend herself, but that they would have plenty of time within the system. Their reasoning, given to journalists, was that they were searching for new sources of music and inspiration and that their ommni box player had hailed from Phoros. All in all, it was quite plausible reasoning to remain for some time, though their contracts would take them out-system from time to time.
After the show, relaxing behind the scenes so to speak, the band received the invitation from Senator volFyr's office with great enthusiasm, stating then and there that they would be more than welcome to accept the Senator's offer at her convenience.

| A reply of course if such an answer had been given was already prepared, and Black Star Supernova was invited to put on a private performance at a holiday home the Senator maintained near one of the few nature reserves left outside of Cinnagar, in two days time if they were able. Of course, the Senator would understand if they were unable to, but she was going to be throwing a small celebration for several close friends and it would be quite the feather in her cap if she were able to retain.
They would also be asked their usual fee for such appearances.

| The band accepted the offer graciously, agreeing to the performance at no charge, calling it a specialized event for the Senator and her guests, as it was their honor to be asked to play in such a prestigious manner. And with little ado, the date would be set, so to speak. Two days at the holiday home. The band could hardly believe their luck! They'd be playing for the Senator!

| ((Set after Avadrie's scheduled return from A Dinner on Llord))
Even being a Senator, there were times when she was not able to get exactly what she wanted. Because she had utilized her older sister Kendra to record Black Star Supernova while she was away on business, she hadn't been able to avoid inviting her sister and her brother in law to the small event she was holding in honor of newly promoted Fleet Admiral Raphael Damar and Line Captain Zeal Tiyr, two members of her staff who would be leaving her personal service for the greater service to the Tetan people of the Sector Fleet.
The holiday home was located some distance from the government district of Cinnagar, near a nature reserve and also located on the shore of a large body of water. It was quite simply, in the Senator's opinion, the closest one got to paradise on Cinnagar.
Security was appropriate for the occasion, with a member of the royal family present, a high ranking Tetan officer, it being the Senator's home, and Black Star Supernova performing, Empress Teta Security Force guards formed an organized perimeter around the boundaries of the home and area that had been set aside on a recently created stage for the band to perform upon on the beach on which the home was set just next to, as well as guards being sprinkled throughout the site to maintain the safety of everyone present were someone to crash the party.
The guest list included Avadrie, her older sister Kendra and her husband Theodore Bolkus, a well to do business executive in the world of carbonite trading, and minor noble in the Tetan aristocracy, Prince Raphael Damar, Captain Zeal Tiyr, Lieutenant Agatha Dent and a bookish looking intern named Dandric Llewellyn, the intern from Koros Major University working for the Senator's office. There was an open bar set up for the guests and their families, Tiyr had brought his wife and two adult children, Lieutenant Dent had brought her lover Makaela, and Dandric had invited his parents and younger sister to the event. No one else from the royal family was present, as it was intended for an event for the Avadrie's staff.
An open bar and buffet style arrangement had been put out for those in attendance, and a local band (friends of Dandric's from Koros Major University) had been retained to open for Black Star Supernova so as the small crowd eagerly awaited (granted, Avadrie and Dandric's younger sister Emile more eagerly than most) while Koros Fire played their opening set until Black Star Supernova was ready.

| The members of Black Star Supernova applauded Koros Fire as loudly as any in the audience; the band was always pleased to meet and talk with other talented musicians. As the band members took the stage, Mellis Versaak promised to speak with the members of Koros Fire later at length, perhaps being able to gain them a recording deal.
Before they began, Versaak opted to make a short speech, much like that he'd made in Club Corellia. "Black Star Supernova wants to give a major thanks to Senator volFyr for giving us this chance to play for all of you today. It's been a road to get here, so just sit back and enjoy!" They then opened for the Senator and her guests with one of their newer songs.

| There was clapping from the crowd as the band thanked the Senator, and then an enraptured silence of sorts as the band played. Avadrie was standing near the bar, where the bartender had just mixed her a glittering pink Durindfire, and she held the drink by its narrow stem and was sipping from it as the band played their first set.
Not far from her, Dandric and the his friends, the members of Koros Fire were gushing excitedly about the prospect of having Black Star Supernova help them get a recording deal. They simply couldn't believe their good luck that first the Senator had offered them this paid gig, and now the main attraction was promising to help them get ahead! Dandric's internship had really paid off for his friends it seemed like.

| After several songs, the band paused to take a slight break to have a drink or two and take the opportunity to thank the Senator personally. After all, this wasn't a main-stage concert for money where sets and songs had to be executed by precise times; this was more of a friendly get-together.
Lead singer and guitarist Mellis Versaak approached Senator volFyr, a small drink in his hand and a smile on his face. "Senator, Senator. You've a lovely setup here. You don't know how much it means to us to be able to come and play for you today."

| "Oh? I hadn't thought I was much of a celebrity. Thank you so much for coming." Dandric's sister, Emile, standing next to Avadrie was stammering, looking just as if she might die if Mellis spoke to her directly. The musician would see it as Avadrie made a show of lightly elbowing Emile in the side and laughing gently at her,
"Breathe Emile." This was followed by a round of nervous laughter from the younger girl.
"How long are you going to stay in the Teta system?" Avadrie asked, bringing her glimmering pink drink to her lips.

| Dropping into a slight crouch, Mellis smiled at Emile. "Do you play an instrument Emile?" Her glanced up at Senator volFyr then, "It all depends, Senator. We were hoping to do a few charity concerts, but our real purpose was to found a charity for the sake of aspiring new artists, whether musical or otherwise, here on Empress Teta. I'd hazard a guess that, barring other major concerts and Empress Teta getting tired of having us around, we may be here for a little while. It takes time to raise that kind of support, after all."

| The younger girl shook her head,
"No..no I don't play an instrument." OHMIGOD MELLIS IS TALKING TO ME, Emile thought as the lead singer asked whether or not she played an instrument. Avadrie smiled as she held her glass to her lips, her eyes twinkling with laughter as she watched the young woman become more and more flustered by the members of the band.
"A charity for artists? Hmmm..." She mused aloud as she brought her drink down from her lips and held it about waist high,
"What exactly would the goals of this charity be, if you don't mind my asking?"

| Holding out a hand towards Emile in gesture, Mellis continued speaking to the senator. "Young folk, much like Emile here, have longed to play a musical instrument, to start a band of their own. There are younglings out there with the gift of writing, of painting beautiful artwork, yet so many are unable to realize this dream either from lack of funding in schools; let's face it, art is not a major priority on most worlds in common schools, or they simply do not have the means from themselves or parents to dedicate the time to pursuing their dreams. After all, one must earn a living and those of little money are often forced to give up their dreams in favor of working.
"We just want to see all people with true talent have the chance, means and opportunity to achieve what they can in the arts. You might say it's a soft spot for the band."

| Avadrie nodded along as Mellis spoke about the intent of his band's charitable ambitions, and she smiled knowingly as he mentioned the lack of funding for the arts in schools. Not a terrible rampant problem on Empress Teta, as it was historically a very cosmopolitan world, but with the rise of the Empire, certain priorities had of course changed.
"Would you be interested in perhaps partnering with Koros Major University? The university president has recently approached me about expanding the scope of the institution, both within our sector and outside of it. I'd imagine that with the infrastructure the university already has in place - and its intimate connections with the public school system within Empress Teta, you would be able to quickly reach a larger population? I can have my office make the arrangements for you to meet with the president."

| Versaak could hardly believe his ears, yet he kept the surprise from his face. A larger population reach would be perfect for what had been intended; after all, his orders had been clear, and he was not to destabilize or damage the Teta System's rulership; simply introduce certain elements of the criminal wave into the Teta System while simultaneously taking control of what was already in existence;a slow and careful job, but one that would be made easier with time.
"I would be glad to work alongside the University for, as you've mentioned Senator, it would greatly improve our reach with the people. Thank you, thank you greatly for this opportunity."
