Vigilance Technologies Stock Rises with Word of New Products

THOVINACK - Vigilance Technologies' stock rose dramatically with the unveiling of their drone defense systems last week. Company president Phillip Isthar reported an increase of nearly sixty-percent in a recent interview. "A number of Outer Rim worlds have become rapid customers of our planetary defense drones. Our analysts estimate a continued rise as larger worlds, such as Sluis Van, continue to buy our products." Rumors that have yet to be confirmed speak of yet another drone release in early 10.1 AE, but already investors are prepared to fund Vigilance Technologies further. "Our drones are top of the line; this newest venture, partnered with Cybot Galactica, will go on to bring Vigilance Technologies to greater heights," said company spokesman Ralph Torrent. When asked by some naysayers as to whether or not Vigilance Technologies was attempting to bring about the rise of droid-based military forces, Torrent went on to say, "Vigilance Technologies is not in the business of making war. We make items that deter war and keep the peace. Preservation of life is the highest ideal any defense company can have."

Conflicts Rise in Destrando City

SLOVO - An hour-long firefight in the downtown district of Destrando City left nine dead and twenty-three wounded, including three members of the local police forces who worked to subdue the fighting parties. After last week's Lorrdian-Argazdan clash that left three dead, tensions have continued to rise between the Argazdan and Lorrdian guilds in Destrando City, putting pressure on the multitude of guilds working in Destrando City to try and calm their larger partners. This violent clash between Lorrdian and Argazdan guilds is the summation of a week's worth of problems that has no clear end in sight. Sector Moff Shirnoq's office published a statement that "If such conflicts continue to rise, an Imperial intervention may become necessary. However, production levels from Slovo have not yet suffered. As such, we feel that, at present, it is better to allow the guildmasters on Slovo to work out their differences between themselves and come to a fair agreement."

Certain critics have cited Moff Shirnoq's response to the situation as "unfair to the people of Slovo and Slovo Minor."

New Company Plans to Expand to Ereesus Sector

SLOVO MINOR - Multi-system mining company Dorvalla Universal has expressed a large interest in setting up a facility on Slovo Minor; a largely untapped site of resources that is currently controlled by a number of small mining guilds. This venture has been met with some trepidation from the local guildmasters, who fear Dorvalla Universal will replace them and cause drastic losses to their income. Whether or not Dorvalla Universal will come to Slovo Minor is yet to be seen, but a number of guilds are already preparing for a reduction in profits.
