| Above Dantooine, just out from the space station 4x Guardian-class Light Cruiser (mounted with fighter racks) appeared, launching 16 Z-95 Fighters backed by 24 Toscan Q-8 star fighters. They had along with them a half dozen freighters loaded full of Monorian Zealots, here to purge the new promised land of the taint which stood on its soil.
Dantooine had to be cleansed, their licentious ways and drinking of the ethanol were abominations. All the stills would be broken, their city walls taken down and they would learn to worship the maker in harmony or be purged. They would no longer breath because they would be put into stasis until they converted.

| The Monorian vessels would not be alone above Dantooine. Not long ago, Senator Ray and Lord Stark had agreed to a GalacticAid facility to be constructed on Dantooine. To this end, Stark had sent several shipping vessels, along with construction teams, to Dantooine for strictly this purpose. Nonetheless, Lorrd was a ways off from Dantooine, so there was a security detail that accompanied the ships, as well as the people on the ground when the time came for construction. Seeing a number of light cruisers drop from hyperspace, the captain overseeing the work crews hailed the ships in greeting and welcoming them on behalf of Dantooine.

| Having received intelligence reports from the Churba Sector on movements of the Sunesi vessels leaving orbit around Monor II and heading to Dantooine, it was estimated that it would take a week for their forces to arrive at the planet. At that time Captain Anderson had been contacted after showing an interest in the events that were happening, and being given the order to take the ISD Endeavor to Dantooine. They were to meet with a Tartan class Patrol Cruiser, the Mighty Boushh over Gravlex Med before jumping into the Dantooine system. It took the Endeavor less time than needed before they arrived in orbit around Gravlex Med, already picking up the Mighty Boushh in orbit as Captain Anderson opened a line to the Imperial Vessel.
"This is Captain Anderson of the ISD Endeavor, acting Line Captain for the duration of this mission. We are sending coordinates for the jump to Dantooine, we have orders to arrive before the Sunesi vessels and to not fire unless fired upon, in which case we've been ordered to wipe them out." The Captain of the Mighty Boushh understood full well the orders as the vessel pulled alongside the Endeavor, both ships setting their hyperdrives and jumping to Dantooine.
Moments after the Sunesi vessels arrived, the ISD Endeavor and the Tartan Cruiser Mighty Boushh dropped from hyperspace, moving on an intercept course to put them on the Right Flank of the vessels. Captain Anderson stood on the bridge as he received the initial report of the vessels that had arrived from Monor II. Guardian class light Cruisers, with fighter racks, which had already launched their compliment of fighters, Forty in total. The combined forces though under Captain Anderson could muster more than enough, which was already happening. From the hanger bays of the Endeavor launched the full compliment of Forty-Eight TIE fighters, escorting Twelve TIE Bombers, holding back their Assault Gunships and Skipray Blastboats for the time being. The Squadrons formed up, yet where held back close to the ships as they moved closer to the Sunesi vessels, Captain Anderson nodding to his communications officer whom opened a channel to the fleet that had arrived at Dantooine.
"This is Line Captain Anderson of the ISD Endeavor. What purpose has the Sunesi vessels of Monor II claim their right to enter Dantooine space with warships, without previously informing the Senate and Ruling Council of the Empire of their actions. You are order to turn your vessels back and return to Monor II."

Dantooine Ground Control was indeed aware of the situation. Sensor readings had already identified the ships, and the call was made to list them as hostiles. Dantooine was not expecting any sort of 'fighter' presence rather then it's own, and the light cruisers were defiantly not on the list. Major Bonn of the Militia looked over the holo screens and grinned some. "How long?" The ground control operator nodded. "I'll give them within a hour before they get close enough to be a threat." The Major would then grab a data-pad. "GalacticAid assets?" The screen would show them, as well as chatter coming through the line. "Their welcoming them!" Major Bonn would grab the headset from the operator. "Patch me through to those idiots!" The frequency was punched in through a secure channel. "Attention any GalacticAid assets orbiting Dantooine... you are to report to a safe distance right away! I repeat, you are to report to a safe distance right away! Those are no allies!" Slamming the headsets from his head to the console, the Major then looked at the operator.
"Our DP20 and Gozanti Cruiser need to place themselves in an interception course for those 4 cruisers. Our medical station may break galactic laws at the moment, but ensure that there are no wounded personnel there before they open up with what weaponry they have. Have our fighters on alert. This is going to be one hell of a -"
Another ground control operator would suddenly spark up in excitement. "Sir, Imperial fleet approaching! Line Captain Sevarius Anderson in command!" Major Bonn nodded. "Still relay my orders to our ships. We may not be able to give them much back-up, but we can still do what we can. Ensure the Militia proceeds to their designated red zones."

| For the record. 1. Farce rule on calling a ship "Mighty Boosh". 2. There's no way that the Imperial Navy could arrive so instantaneously. These cruisers turned up minutes after transmitting the message to Dantooine, way after leaving Monor II. There's no way in hell you could be there first. 3. Assault gunships don't exist yet.))
The Cruisers launched a volley of torpedoes loaded with Propaganda booklets. Each fighter squadron did the same. They skimmed towards the Dantooine atmosphere before breaking apart and shedding flimplasts by the hundred thousand below.veach carried a stern abolitionist message from their holy books. A few hundred parachute capsules also launched with smaller containers inside, each carrying a book of The Maker.
Truly Dantooine would be purged, by the loving words of the Maker. The Monorian Priest Prince opened a communicator frequency to the Dantooinians and Imperials. "Fear not fair friends, unlike the renegade servants of the Emperor who struck elsewhere in this sector we are not slaughterers of our fellow beings. Did the cowardly Imperial butcher of Alurion have the permission of the Emperor and Ruling Council for his slaughter? I think not.
We are enlightened, and demonstrate such by using words to resolve our difficulties, not turbolasers. For truly is is said that the Lamb must lie alongside the Lion in the Book of the MAKER. We bring his word in a loving spirit. Verily I say unto you, do not war but bring peace to your fellow being, even when thou must chastise, even strike, do it lovingly and for the good of all. Thou shalt not turn the turbolaser upon the civilian. "
They turned about. Breaking off into out of and gunned their engines, hyperdrives warming up as they prepared to jump to a deep space patrol. They didn't plan on following the Imperial orders but the Empire surely wouldn't know either way.

| The GalacticAid vessels could hardly know that the newcomers were not allies. Nonetheless, having received the word from Dantooine Control, the freighters and transport ships, some dozen or more, would engage their sublight drives and begin to orbit around to the far side of Dantooine, under the watchful eye of a squadron of R-41 Starchasers that had been assigned to guide and watch over the transports until they reached their destination and dropped their load. Strictly non-interventionist, the security team would only act if the GalacticAid vessels came under fire.

Same can be said about the Sunesi vessels magically appearing in orbit, while my post states that it took the vessels up to a week to arrive, and arriving after the Sunesi vessels, and giving the fact that the Empire would have some measure of watching the Sunesi vessels and would pick them up leaving their Sector and where they were set to go, it's not difficult to believe that the Imp vessels would get there at the same time or a few moments later, 3. Vessels are Assault Gunboat minor typing error.))
Without their message being answered, the ISD Endeavor and the Tartan Mighty Boushh moved closer to the formation, their weapons and shields powered up as their TIE fighters formed up around the TIE Bombers. It wasn't until they picked up the torpedoes being fired upon Dantooine did they take action, Anderson quickly looking to his gunners. "Take aim on those Cruisers, Fire for the Effect. Fighters, escort the Bombers in. Mighty Boushh, keep the enemy fighters off our formations." The Tartan class patrol cruiser moved up with the TIE Fighters and TIE Bombers, moving towards the Cruisers and enemy fighters as they began their attack run. The Endeavor took aim at the Cruisers, moving their ISD and pointing the bow of the vessel downwards to aim the bulk of their weapons at the enemy Cruisers.
The Gunners took aim, Sixty Ion Cannons and Two Dual Heavy Ion Cannons aiming for the Cruisers before they let out a heavy volley, steaming towards the engines of the Cruisers to prevent them from fleeing after their cowardly attack on Dantooine. The Gunners also brought up the Two Quad Heavy Turbolasers, Six Dual Heavy Turbolasers and Thirty of the Sixty Heavy Turbolaser Cannons, aiming ahead of the fleeing vessels. They let lose with a heavy volley of Turbolaser fire, steaming it into the flight path of the Cruisers, trapping them between the Ion Cannon fire and Turbolaser fire.
Meanwhile, the TIE Fighters and TIE Bombers continued to skirt along the outer fringes of the field, not allowing themselves to get caught in the hell storm of fire being unleashed upon the enemy vessels. The Tartan Cruiser remained with the Fighter Squadrons and Bomber Squadron, its own gunners keeping a watch for the enemy fighters.

| (Its my darn thread! I can have my fleet where and when i want it to be there. Counter reactions are what has to wait for time to elapse. ))
As the fighters and cruisers remained well outside fighter range. Having pretty much turned about and fled the Imperial ships were not in weapons range as they scattered away. Brig beyond weapons range they jumped to hyperspace for deep space. The torpedoes were inactive cases ands this would be apparent on everyone present's sensors, they contained nothing more than flip last. The cruisers, moving as fast as fighters were easily able to outrun the slower star destroyer and evade its blasts much as the millennium falcon would later thanks to superior manoeuvrability.
On a line to the Galactic Media they would transmit a live feed of the Imperial assault in their forces who had been peacefully distributing paperwork. The live feed showed the ships chasing the peaceful vessels. Apparently there was another butcher other than Deamora in the Raioballo Sector. Once well out of range, the force jumped to hyperspace.

| Alyn is correct, Agapos just modded and skipped Exar Ray, I also enjoy how in every thread you do, your ships are always in range for their weapons to work, yet always out of range for anyone else to be able to fire on you with any kind of effect, which causes me to be highly doubtful that a larger vessels weapons wouldn't be able to strike at a target further away, as seen by the Tector SD under Ordan managing to fire from essentially the 4th orbit of a star system out to the very edge of that same system. Alyn, it would appear that it is listed as 0 BBY for gunboats being introduced, I was just going off the information given in the ISD article.))

Oh and sorry about the turbolaser thing. It was certainly a cheeky post, and I'm sorry it annoyed you, but I figured it was worth a go (he who dares, wins). But you never really took any damage from it so I dont think it needs to set a precedent. Some turbolasers do have a demonstrated range of further than earth is from sol. But! Notional range isn't the same as effective range. Take my SA80, it's notional maximum range is 1300m, but it's effective only at 450m with Iron sights, 650 with SUSAT. Aaanyway. Long story short even the math of sending a probe to the moon is tricky with the best of modern tech, can't imagine how it was in the 60s! (kerbal space program is a good free beta to play around with this idea). Anyway, a slow tracking turbolaser could only possibly hope to hit at long distances by tracking where it thought the ship would go, not where it was.. So evasive manoeuvres and scattering do really mean its no mean feat to hit a quick moving small sized object in space. Plus the weapons on an ISD really aren't designed for the job (as evidenced by their failing to waste the falcon).
