Agora and Praesitlyn Prepare to Honor Clone Wars Heroes
With the upcoming memorial of the Clone Wars, the worlds of Praesitlyn and Agora have chosen to specially honor Zozridor Slayke and the onetime members of his group, the Sons and Daughters of Freedom. During the course of the war, Mr. Slayke and his organization worked tirelessly against the Separatists on Agora and Praesitlyn; despite their defeat at Agora, they went on to tirelessly combat the foe at Praesitlyn and succeeded in retaking the planet despite terrible losses. In a planned tribute to all the fallen heroes, flags on both worlds will be lowered to half-mast for the duration of the memorial day, as well as a moment of silence. Agora and Praesitlyn have also stated their intent to increase security during this time of remembrance in the event that Separatist remnants or groups bearing a grudge against the Sluis Sector.
Bpfassh Revitalizes Trading Station; Continue to Speak Against Jedi
The government of Bpfassh has decided to repair and reuse the long-standing onetime Commerce Guild trading station that has long been in orbit of the world. Renaming the station as 'Bpfasshi Station,' the site will soon be open as a planetary defense and trade center, inviting more commerce to the system and increasing the ease with which the world can protect itself against intrusive forces. After the attacks at Praesitlyn and Khedive Thisst's advice that all worlds should remain vigilant against raiders, this step has been taken to ensure further safety and security.
With the advent of the Clone Wars memorial, the Bpfasshi have continued to condemn the Jedi and all Dark Jedi for the rampages that occurred across the Sluis Sector and Bpfassh in past times. Hailing the Empire as the savior of the galaxy from the Jedi menace, a number of schools have adopted an official image of Emperor Palpatine to be placed within all classrooms to honor the man who removed the Jedi from power.
Kalab Cracks Down on Smugglers
Localized forces at Kalab have struck multiple blows against smuggler vessels, interdicting and impounding over a dozen craft in the last two weeks. As part of an ongoing operation to clear up criminal activity in the Sluis Sector, the Kalab Anti-smuggling Task Force has conducted sting operations against a majority of smuggling forces. Estimated smuggling efforts have been reduced by nearly forty percent at this time. The leader of the task force, Agent Jil'ku, stated that "Efforts have come with no losses to our forces; the smugglers seemed caught by complete surprise. Unfortunately, we know this edge won't last and we are making the most of it while we can."
Sluis Sector Condemns Former Senator Corlissi Ludar
In a speech given today, Khedive Strass Thisst and Senator Toben Domon reaffirmed the loyalty of the Sluis Sector to the Galactic Empire and publicly condemned the actions of former senator Corlissi Ludar who joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Along with the former Khedive of the Sluis Sector, certain sentients in the former leadership have been officially stricken from the records in dishonor, while other forces, such as the former Praesitlyn Defense Force, now reorganized as part of the Sluis Sector Defense Force, have been granted official posthumous high honors for their actions in defense of worlds within the Sluis Sector.
