K'so Da'shune found himself on the moon of Porus Vida, along with several of his compatriots who'd apparently been the only ones worthy of survival. Wilt Tan'oor, an engineer; K'sa Tatham, whom Da'shune did not trust; Tri'fe Zhagel, a quartermaster and lastly, Z'su Ro'mar. Of them all, only Zhagel was trustworthy in Da'shune's eyes. Despite all the interrogations he'd undergone, the time he'd spent and the losses of his people, who were scattered from Parein II, he constantly wondered who else his 'beloved' sister had turned against him. Here on the unaligned moon of Porus Vida, the Hapan captives found themselves under the watchful eyes of two squads of stormtroopers who'd accompanied them, via Lambda shuttle, to the world. They had been informed that the Hapan Consortium would be sending Commander Da'shune, K'so's sister, to retrieve him and those with him.

It seemed as if there was little he could do to resist; unarmed, with people he did not know if he could trust and no way to get word out, he was down to his final hours of frantically thinking.

The revamped Alpha Squadron were given a new objective: Retrieve K'so and his Hapans stationed on the moon of Porus Vida. Wait a minute. How did the Libs get the information. Firstly, they have a spy network stretched across the galaxy. Secondly, someone in the Hapes Consortium ratted on the deal the Empire and the Consortium had on transferring K'so and his own people. But they didn't tell the Libs, they told the temprary commander of the IHN survivors. In turn, the guy told Mika. That's how the operation had been put in place. Before this moment, the Alpha Squadron were on a permanent stand-by.

The young captain's F-302 would emerge out of hyperspace first, before the rest follows. In total, there was twelve ships. A F-302, a y-wing, four cloakshapes, five Z-95s, and a YT-1300 light freighter to transport K'so's people plus a squadron of soldiers that is going to deal with any Imperial resistance on the ground. It's a good thing the freighter had cleared out all the unnecessary stuffs to make room for both the soldiers and the defiant Hapans. "Men, I'll go ahead and do a planetary scan. Everyone except the transport stays up here and keep our escape path clear." A commanding tone of Ben's would be heard over the radiotransmitter.

The next moment, the F-302 would fire its engines up. Two small thrusters would roar before the large thruster did the same thing, moving toward the surface of the moon. So did the transport. Inside the light freighter, a squadron of twelve soldiers were ready to spill some Imperial blood in order to gain a potential ally. Every one of them were equipped with an A280 blaster rifle, a DL-44 blaster pistol, and a flash-bang grenade (in order to avoid friendly fire and civilian casualties).

All while the rest of the squadron were still in orbit flying around being on alert for any incoming activity, the F-302 and the freighter would do a planetary scan. Ben knew two things they needed to do fast, prevent the whites from calling out for reinforcements, and keep the escape plan intact.

The stormtroopers overseeing the Hapan prisoners were not aware of the attack that was about to befall them. As far as they were concerned, the emaciated Hapan prisoners before them were nothing more than expendable beings who'd done nothing more than lead to the death of a good Moff and several hundred Imperials. their discipline kept them from abusing the prisoners at the moment, but neither were they exceptionally caring. The group was within a spaceport on Porus Vida; the primary and only starport on the moon, where the transfer would occur.

K'so and Zhagel were sitting back to back, silent under the watchful eyes of the stormtroopers. Some distance away, the trio of conspirators that Da'shune suspected were eying him, leading him to believe that they would be the only ones to make it out of this situation alive. If he could have spared the energy, he would have cursed them for cowards and traitors to the Independent Hapan Nation, but there was no point. His sister would come for him, and his time was all but gone.

The planetary scan had been completed, after a couple minutes of scanning that is. Both the F-302 and the freighter had picked up multiple lifesign readings specifically concentrated in one small area of the spaceport. There was also a ship right next to them. The Captain had suspected that the Imperials wouldn't expect the Libs or any other resistance groups to know this was going down. This is where Ben had an idea. Since this moon was unaligned, it's possible that the planetary government of the planet below them wouldn't know about what was going on between the Empire and the Consortium. Which may give the Libs an element of surprise.

He ordered the freighter to fly ahead and discreetly land down into five docking bays to the right of the prisoner transfer. Then Ben would slowly pull the F-302 all the way to a stop, getting the fighter ready to strike at a very precise moment. After several moments of the freighter flying toward the docking bay, it had landed and the soldiers were ready and equipped to go. They were just getting out of their docking bay, heading for K'so and his buddies.

Porus Vida, being an 'unaligned' moon, was not informed of the transfer. If anything, it had been kept rather quiet largely because of the fact that Presidium Da'shune still had contacts that remained free about the galaxy. The Empire wanted him gone, as swiftly as possible and it was to their benefit that the Hapan Consortium was willing to take him off their hands. Of course, a number of his people had already been done away with and the rest of the prisoners would die in Kessel, or so the Empire had planned.

The landing of the freighter drew the attention and a few stares of some of the stormtroopers, but no more and for no longer than any other craft landing would. When the Libs landed, having of course received permission from Porus Vida's control and paid some form of docking fee, they would likely have to move very quickly; armed men moving through the streets would alert the local police, and there were sure to be curious bystanders. The more notice they had, the less likely it was that they would arrive at the prisoner transfer area without notice. As it stood, they would now have to move quicker than normal, though word had not reached any 'proper' authority just yet.

They would be racing not just against Imperials who would not hesitate to kill their prisoners in the event the Hapans would be rescued, but against time when the Consortium's representative would arrive and take K'so and his compatriots back to the Consortium, where they would disappear.

Indeed, the Libs had been fully aware of time constraints. Which is why they are fully prepared to rifle through the streets full of bystanders. The strike squadron did so, running with the utmost speed and agility. Once they were closing in to the destinated docking bay, every single one of them had slowed down except for the smuggler (of which had already elected to stay on the freighter for a quick escape). The squad leader were in the front, peeking slightly to see how many Hapans were there and how many whites were supervising them. The man didn't talk, and instead gave hand signals to the rest of the squadron. Specifically to tell them that there were twenty-four stormtroopers that were watching over the prisoners. There were also three Hapans that were standing around and not being in cuffs. This led the squad leader to believe they were from the Consortium and time were getting shorter.

That was when the man activated a signal inside a comlink he had just taken out a moment prior. Then another hand signal would be given. Within moments, the man would unlatch a flash-bang grenade along with two others that would take the same grenade off their belts. At the same time, the two small and one large thrusters of the F-302 would roar once again as the fighter were heading straight for the very same docking bay. Ben was tracking the signal so that he'd be able to target the shuttle with a concussion missile once he was in range.

The three flash-bang grenades were gently activated and dispatched onto the permacrete floor, in front of both stormtroopers and prisoners. The Libs didn't want to let K'so know they were there just in case one of the stormtroopers noticed his body language and tip the rest off or something like that. In next moments, how the stormtroopers react would entirely be up to them.

As a point of fact, all the Hapans present were in cuffs. To the Imperials, a Hapan was a Hapan was a Hapan. That is to say, those who had plotted against Da'shune had done so for the Consortium and not the Empire, and as such, were all subject to deportation. The Imperial pilot in the shuttle looked over curiously at the scanner that informed him a ship was headed his way at high speed. While he was not directly alarmed, he reached for the communicator to inquire first of the vessel what it's intentions are, and secondly of the docking bay to instruct them to ward the ship away. That was when all hell broke loose outside.

The stormtrooper squad was not expecting an assault. The unfortunate nature to look when one hears a noise occurred to all within the bay, and the triple flash that went off, along with the concussion of sound, threw the Hapans more or less to the floor, their senses shocked, leaving them helpless. The stormtroopers were affected similarly, though to a lesser degree. Polarizing visors and helmets dampened the effects; a few of the stormtroopers fell to their knees, shaking their heads, other dove for the ground, realizing it as an attack and trying to find cover in their semi-blinded state. In short, Amir's attackers would have a few brief moments before the Imperials were up and able to fight at least somewhat effectively once more.

Once the flash took the effect, the soldiers looked away as not to let the bang affect their eyes as well. This is what the Libs are supposed to do. The conductions of hit-and-run operations, that is how you are supposed to survive when you are facing an enemy much larger and much stronger than you are. Asymmetric warfare plays its hand most of the time for the Libs, and hopefully same goes well this time around. Despite some efforts to find hiding spots, some whites were unfortunate. The major would be the first one to turn his A280 blaster rifle upon one of the stormtroopers and fired a single shot at the chest. Another dropped a knee onto the ground and fired one toward another white. Three more did the same, covering the fire for the other half of the squadron to move to the opposing side of the entrance so more laser bolts can be fired toward the Imperials.

In meantime, Captain Amir figured that the docking authority would contact him since he was venturing into their space unauthorized. The F-302 moved at its maximum speed, which is as fast as the future Incom product in X-wing. Contrary to the popular beliefs, he wasn't going to do a kamikaze run. In fact, he waited until a beep was heard. Right that moment had a concussion missile coming out of one of the tubes, heading for the shuttle that had been carrying the Hapans. Ben didn't bother to stick around and watch the missile go down, opting to decrease the speed in order to pull a u-turn. The fighter was heading back to reunite with the rest of the Alpha Squadron.

The Captain had to ensure that they would be ready for whatever would be thrown at them.

Five stormtroopers went down in the initial barrage, showing five successful shots in the Libs' favor. The rest, though, had scattered quickly enough for cover, with one or two being wounded. The Libs would have to move fast indeed, as the stormtroopers, once they'd fully reorganized, would be able to utilize direct and deadly fire to try and destroy the Libs. The incoming concussion missile that flashed overhead and impacted the unshielded shuttle, killing its pilot and gunner and, in the process, raising a fireball that knocked the stormtroopers who'd been too close senseless, as well as scattering deadly shrapnel about. One might say that now was the time for the Libs to snatch up the Hapans and escape, for there was something else afoot.

In space, out at the edge of the system, two Hapan vessels had emerged, a Battle Dragon and a Nova-class cruiser escort. The cruiser waited behind while the Battle Dragon surged ahead at half speed. On board, Commander Da'shune, K'so's sister, smiled quietly to herself as she anticipated the arrival of her rebellious brother on her ship for his transport back.

Indeed, with the stormtroopers currently scattered about, this was a perfect time to snatch the prisoners. With the exploded shuttle and the flash effects, they figured to have a few moments worth of time but only a few. Half of the squadron kept on firing at stormtroopers' hiding places while the Major and the other half would move to snatch the Hapans off the ground. The Major himself grabbing the Presidium. "Acting Commander Or'doth sent us. Let's go." His voice was deep with an obvious sense of urgency. The same half would be seen scrambling out of the hangar bay, with the other half continuing to provide cover fire until all of them left together.

The next move would only arose the bystanders' suspicions, with the Libs seemingly kidnapping a group of people. In a sense, they were anyway. One of the squadmates would alert Captain Amir of the incoming warships, of which had begun to appear as a couple of blips on the radar. "Haul ass, men. Things are about to get nasty." His voice would reach the comlink of the very same squadron on the ground, heading for their own docking bay. "I know this is suicide but all we have to do is to keep them off Presidium's back for a while." The F-302 would sprint away from the rest of the Alpha Squadron as they would try to catch up with Ben, as they were about to crazily take on two warships.

K'so Da'shune's ears were ringing and he was still more than half blind, but the name 'Or'doth' was music to what hearing he did have, for the Acting-Commander was a man Da'shune trusted. As he and the other Hapans were escorted from the docking bay, scattered laser fire came from the stunned and shell-shocked surviving stormtroopers. One blaster bolt took Da'shune in the left calf, causing him to stumble with a curse. Wilt Tan'oor was not so lucky and his brains exploded out the front of his face, likely coating the Libs member carrying him, as a lucky bolt caught him in the back of the head.

In space, the Libs' Alpha Squadron would only be up against the Battle Dragon, which was formidable enough as it approached the planet, still in no rush, for nothing wrong was suspected. Commander Da'shune was a tad suspicious that no Imperial contact had come their way yet. For now though, unless the Libs' spacecraft were actively approaching the Hapan warship, there would still be no suspicion.

When a stray laser bolt hit Da'shune's left calf, the Major would feel a tilt on his shoulders. He stopped for a moment, but cursed back to the Presidium to get a move on. They cannot afford to stay behind. A member of the squadron that were dragging Wilt got splattered all over the face. The man spit the blood out of his mouth, and onto the floor. "Nasty." That was all he said, dropping the new corpse onto the ground. The Libs had no choice but to leave the bodies behind. The party continued to press on, rushing to get to their docking bay. Meanwhile, the back half of the party kept turning around and fired at the stormtroopers that might have chased after them a couple of times.

The Alpha Squadron were still far out of the Battle Dragon's weapon range. However, the F-302 were ahead so it wouldn't be long before he got into their weapons range. They already knew it was the Consortium from the way their ships were designed. It was also easy to identify Imperial ships, and there weren't any around except for that blown-up shuttle.

Da'shune continued to try and move faster, as best he could. The stormtroopers as well, followed slowly from behind cover, but the Libs, moving faster, would likely outdistance them, especially if the Major carried Da'shune. The people in the streets were fleeing the indiscriminate laser fire, making it hard for the stormtroopers to target the Libs, and of course, for the Libs to target the stormtroopers, but it made pursuit hard. If the Libs hurried, they'd be able to gain their shuttle quickly.

On the bridge of her battle Dragon, Da'shune gave an amused look as the sensor officer reported several vessels approaching, one of unknown type, which was the F-302, followed by a single Y-wing, a quartet of Cloakshape fighters and a quintet of Z-95 Headhunters. "What is this pitiful fighter force? Prime weapons and gain preliminary locks from the torpedo tubes. Launch our snubfighters to clear them away, if they prove hostile. Don't bother hailing them. They're obviously not Imperials." The Battle Dragon began to spill the three squadrons of Miy'til starfighters from her hangar bays, as the firing solutions for the torpedoes were laid in and the cannons warmed up.
