| She sighed and leaned against him. It was going to be hard for her to just quit, but she knew she needed to. For him....for them actually. "You're right....you're right....I'll call Tremaine tomorrow." She murmured as she leaned against Kal when he wrapped his arms around her. Idly, she rubbed the side of her stomach with her fingertips, right where Caden was kicking the hardest.
"Lying to Titus was the worst part." Ilanah murmured. "But Kal....I won't ever like this....but I will do what you ask me to, and what I need to do...for us." She smiled some.

| His head would turn and look down at her, feeling that she was still uneasy about all of this. It was still up to her, and totally her choice.
"I'm not telling you to quit here. All I'm doing is asking you to really think about all of this. Take a little bit of time to think about it all. It is a big decision after all."

| Ilanah shook her head some. Yes, it was a huge decision. But it was a necessary decision. "I need to focus on Caden....and you...and Chandrila. It's the right choice." She said, somewhat shakily. "I am not sure that I can handle the uncertainty anymore. And I know that Tremaine can handle it...and he has Jalaila now and I am sure she will be far more useful than a pregnant woman." She murmured.
"Does that sound alright?"

| A slight nod would come from him to semi answer her question.
"Yea, that sounds alright. But, I think that you need to get some rest. I can tell you are stressed and you are going to need your strength here when Caden decides to come."

| Her smile faded some when he said that. She knew that it was going to be hard on her, and likely both of them, really. "I know..." She murmured as she reluctantly pulled away from Kal. "I think it will be sooner rather than later....I think he is getting impatient." She said, referencing the constant moving and kicking that the child did. He was strong. Stronger than she was, it felt. Part of her wondered if Kal could do anything to calm him down, since nothing she was doing seemed to work.
"Bed and ice cream. That's my vote. And mine is the only vote that counts." She smiled slightly. "And I also vote that you get the ice cream and bring it...while I go lay down." That brought a bright smile to her face. "Think you can handle that, Kal Thanatos?"

| A small chuckle would come from him as he stood up and saluted her, "Yes ma'am!"
Without hesitation, he would quickly leave their room, making a bee-line for the kitchen. He pulled the freezer door open, searching for what his wife had been asking for. There were a few different flavors of ice cream in there that she normally would eat. There was one, however, that he could tell was newer and had more eaten from it than the others. That would be it.
Upon preparing a bowl for her, he would return into the room, handing the bowl to Lana with a smile.
"Just let me know if you want some more..."

| Ilanah, while he was gone, had settled onto the bed rather uncomfortably. "I really just would like to go home. Can we do that?" She asked as she took the bowl for him and slowly started to eat, though she did offer some to share. "Home to have Caden...it's more peaceful there and I don't want him born into a stressful environment." she said, indicating that a medical center on Imperial Center was too much...for both of them. It had been a long trip back to Chandrilia, one in which the Senator took the time to rest and catch up on what little paperwork she had. With the senate session closing soon, she knew that she would not necessarily be needed during the break, so being home for a while would be perfectly alright. Some senators she knew never made the trip to Imperial Center and simply holo-ed in, and some barely if ever left their home planets.
Being in her own bed was nice. Having Kal there with her was even better. She often found herself wondering how he was just able to find her when he had no memory except a vague recollection. Never once had she asked how he lost his memories, as she wasn't sure she wanted to know, nor was she sure that it would not be painful for him to talk about. Sometimes she would sit on the porch and watch him train out in the gardens, or fix him dinner and sit outside to enjoy the sunset. It was just a nice, quiet life. Ilanah knew it wouldn't be like that for long. Not with their son on the way.

To say that labor wasn't painful would have been a lie, but it was not as bad as it could have been. Kal had helped her, and the expert midwife she had chosen that specialized in natural medicines. Still, there was only so much pain that herbs could conquer, the Force was more of a help than anything. Within a few hours, Caden had arrived. He was just as she thought he would be; dark hair and blue eyes and just perfect.
She laid there quietly, with Caden laying quietly on her chest, and she stroked his back lightly. Perfect. "Kal..." she murmured, her voice a little hoarse from just dryness. It seemed all she had needed was to actually see Caden and to hold him. "You're right. I'm not going to do anything to jeopardize or put him in harms way. He needs us more than anyone else does." Finally, she turned her gaze to Kal to see how he would react to her realization.

| It was a long process as she was going through labor. He stayed with her throughout the entire process, making sure to help with whatever he could, whenever he could. His abilities in the Force allowed him to reduce some of the pain she was going through at the time. Soon enough, his new born son entered into the world, even more perfect than he could have imagined.
As his exhausted wife and new born son laid there, he approached both of them with a smile on his face. This was one of the happiest times of his life. Lana softly spoke to him, telling him that she was agreeing with him and that she didn't want to do anything to jeopardize their family. It was a big relief for him, but not something he would continue with at this moment.
"Thank you, Lana. Nor will I do anything to bring harm to our family." There would be a slight pause before he would continue, "He's got my eyes...and your nose. He's perfect."

| She would let out a light, content sigh as she rested back against the down pillows that were piled there. Caden was so content and so quiet, she could hardly believe it. "Come hold him and I'll send the message now." She murmured as she started to sit up again and shifted the infant into her arms. It felt natural enough, but inside she was rather terrified of doing something wrong or hurting him.
It wasn't usually like her to give in so easily, and certainly Tremaine would think that Kal had done something to her. Maybe Caden would be enough to convince him otherwise, but with his trust issues regarding Kal, she very much doubted it.
