Janar_Cerra the senate was starting to get to her, she was simple her readings of bills and motions and in her responses, she did not like to waste her breath, her time and energy arguing with the idiots that said that they represented their planets interests when in reality they only represented their own. It was this that had driven her out of the senate building this early in the day, having ditched her security detail for a bit to allow herself some time to gather herself. She didn't want to be here and that much was clear but she had no choice, she believed in her people and they in her, she couldn't let them down but she knew in the end she would. she would place her hand on the plum colored starsilk that stretched across her ever growing belly "I know...we are going to go get something good..." she spoke to her unborn child, as she made her way to a cafe that was only a few blocks from the senate complex, many senators visited it, but they tended to be those from outer rim worlds or senators who like herself, didn't care for most of the business that was going on within the chamber.

-= [Alyn Stark] Stark frequented a number of cafes around the Senate district, especially when he had certain plans for the Senate; namely a wish to run against Roman Lekpin as representative of Lorrd in the coming year. Despite certain actions and beliefs Stark held, the position of senator was one he needed to obtain certain ends. It was some surprise though to see Ja'nar Cerra of Garos IV, looking rather pregnant, at least to Stark, walk in to the cafe. Seated as he was by the door, with his back strategically placed to a wall and with his shadowguard scattered about the area, Stark felt more than secure enough as he raised a hand in greeting to Ja'nar. "Senator Cerra! A pleasure to see you here!"

Janar_Cerra 's head would snap in Alyn's generaly direction, her deep brown eyes scanning the area before she say the man who was waving to her, a smile would touch her lips as she moved towards his table, "Alyn Stark...this is a pleasant surprise" she would smile brightly, it was a rare occurance that she ran into someone who she liked and enjoyed spending time with on Coruscant and Stark was lucky enough to be one of those people "Do you mind if I join you?" she asks softly motioning to the empty chair at his table. Ja'nar was paranoid but she often through caution to the wind, went around without guards following her.

-= [Alyn Stark] "By all means, Senator, please sit. I'm not doing anything important." Stark smiled and called to the waiter, requesting a glass of water for the senator and giving her the option to order some food. Stark was not surprised she had no security detail; Cerra had a reputation of sorts that made her detail have headaches, no doubt, especially when she slipped off like she likely had. "Make yourself at home, so to speak. I know it's not quite as comfortable as yachts in orbit; speaking of which, I have recently purchased a specialized yacht, quite large. You must come with a few of the other senators and help me christen her next voyage."

Janar_Cerra would smile again as she pulls out the chair and places herself into it quite gracefully for once, not just flopping down on it like she would with others. She would nod to the waiter as she ordered a sandwich, a simple and plain one, very boring. She would glance towards him for a moment "I love little cafes such as this one, there are some excellent ones on the lower levels, but saddly I am forbidden to go down there right now" she would let out a little sigh "Sometime you must let me take you on a food tour...its amazing what you can find when you are dressed down and away from the senate complex" she would lean back a bit, her legs stretching out, "Of course I would love to Alyn, but it all depends on what this little one deceides to do" she would smile brightly. She was so happy to having another one, it was stressful and the questions about this ones father was even more stressful, but no one figured out Remus...so she was sure she could keep this one a secret as well.

Senator_Ordan strode around the Senate district, his aurodium plated cane clasped firmly in his hand seeking out the senator of Lorrd. He firmly intended to club the man senseless, why a lesser man, daring to call a gentleman such as he, a sub-human.. He would surely rue the day. Not even senseless he thought, brainless. He would leave the man bleeding in the street if he met him. As he stalked with a few of his gentlemen friends he approached a cafe and where the Senator of Garos IV sat with Stark. A smirk crossed his face as he patted his breast pocket, checking if he had a prophylactic on him, he would surely not see Alyn contaminated with sexually transmitted infections, so strode over towards the cafe.

-= [Alyn Stark] "A food tour, you say? That does sound quite interesting, and by all means, I would enjoy such a foray into the world of different foods. As for children, well... I cannot say that I know much about them. I have never had any of my own and, ideally, I do not intend to, at least for some time. When the day does come, who can say who the mother will be? A Human species of type, of course." Stark sipped from his water as a brief gesture from his Mandalorian brought his attention towards the front windows. And what was this? Senator Hubert Ordan amidst some other gentlemen, it seemed, and quite unhappy by the look on his face. "I feel we may have some company, Senator Cerra," Stark murmured as Ordan approached.

Janar_Cerra would look to Alyn as she glanced casually over her shoulder before looking to him once more taking in a deep breath "I see, well lets see how civil he can be this afternoon."

Senator_Ordan "Ah, Madam Senator" he gave her the slightest of bows. "And Mr Stark, I was just reading over the designs for your drones! They are formidable indeed, formidable" he said as he approached. The gentlemen with him moving to take a table. "Wonce" and "Scrubber" were old school-mates of Ordan and also notorious bullies, so naturally had clutched onto his coat tails in his ascent to glory "The Royalty of the Military-Industrial Complex and passive Garos IV meeting.. surely this is a most strange occurrence?"

-= [Alyn Stark] As Ordan came up, Stark murmured again to Cerra, "I'm sure he will be civil enough," and then Ordan was to them. "Why thank you, Senator Ordan. Although I still cannot quite take credit for them being 'my' drones, per se. The scientists and technicians developed them. I simply asked for drones that would be capable of doing a certain task and what parameters they would need. From there, they do most of the work." Mandalorians were not the most common, and the one Ordan and his school-mates walked past had returned to assuming a 'guard' pose on the far side of the doors, in a small niche out of the way that allowed him to watch the room unobtrusively as possible. At a table not far away, Stark's trio of females, the Echani, the Hapan and the Malkii were chatting and sipping drinks, enjoying the provocative clothing they wore that caused more than one man to stare their way.

Janar_Cerra would nod her head to Ordan polietly as she takes a sip of the water Alyn had gotten for her, she was keeping herself calm, it was not worth getting all worked up, she did not want to have the issues she had with Remus. Ja'nar would send a message to her Mando guard, to have him meet her there, it was better that way, he would at least grab her if she attempted to bash Ordan's head into the ground. She would look to him once more "We were just having a pleasant chat over lunch." she was remaining civil herself, Garos was passive, it was safer that way for her people.

Senator_Ordan "Of course.. lunch" he took a look over the table for bottles or glasses of alcohol (for which her orgiastic night with Senator Crin Star had made her famous). "I apologize if my rhetoric was a little scathing earlier little lady, no hard feelings eh? " he said with a smile. He turned back to stark inclining his head a little "Certainly damnably controversial aren't they, causing quite a stir! But no matter melad, I'm sure you'll get your license."

-= [Alyn Stark] It seemed as if one could cut the animosity between Ordan and Cerra with a knife, and as Stark was not interested in being caught between the pair if they broke out into fisticuffs. "I appreciate the positivity, Senator Ordan. I can only hope the Senate sees it for what's intended; a lifesaving product, and not a restart of the Clone Wars. Nobody wants that, after all. And indeed, Senator Cerra and I were having a pleasant talk. Garos IV, as you know Senator Ordan, supports GalacticAid. I never caught your ideals on that proposal."

Janar_Cerra would smile pleasantly still, there was nothing harder than water on the table, it was actually a nice lunch like chat the two were having. "Of course not, though I would deeply appreciate it if you please drop the patronizing tones" she would rest her hand on her stomach as she looked out the window besides Alyn for a moment, "Yes, it seems I am one of those senators who has a bleeding heart" she would take in a deep breath as looks back to the two men.

Senator_Ordan "I apologize if I come off as patronizing madam, perhaps I could ask if you'd seen the esteemed Senator Lekpin in these parts?" he said rolling his eyes, but not giving her any rude comments, pleased to see she was off the soup. "Sadly not a bleeding heart for the good of the budget?" he said with a gentle mocking tone "Surely it must concern you that Abram is seeking to just splash money around as he is?, I support aid, although largely through my own Senator Ordan Benevolent Emigration fund, supplying refugees as useful labour to humane and caring employers. I am a friend of all who would work for their bread, instead of expecting government handouts."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Senator Cerra, Senator Ordan... no need to be unfriendly to one another at all. Senator Cerra does happen to be one of the more caring senators, which is hardly a detriment." Stark paused to take a sip of water. "Representative Lekpin, Senator Ordan, not senator. A distinct difference, to some. I have not seen him in some time, which is all for the good as I am not overly fond of him. Nonetheless, he is Lorrd's current representative... for the moment." Stark smiled knowingly for a moment. "We all support aid in one form or another. Sadly, Senator Abram's proposal, in my reading, was sadly lacking. A good premise, but terribly written."

Janar_Cerra would just sit back letting the boys speak, remaining quiet for the moment as she listens to the two of them. She really did not want to get herself into a verbal battle with the idiotic, heartless senator, instead her sandwich would come, "Please excuse the rudeness, but I am famished" as she began to eat, still listening and retaining what she thought may be important.

Senator_Ordan "Well helping people is desirable, but it should always be fiscally prudent to do so. Equally it should not give handouts, if you ask me. Worlds which work to modernize, increase their production and work hard deserve money if it will give a return.. loans on good rates perhaps.." he shook his head "Handouts to the tune of 5% would fall heavily on all us tax payers so that farmers, some of whom may not need it, in the Outer Rim could drink. To be honest though, the act doesn't even guarantee the money to farmers, just farm world governments.."

-= [Alyn Stark] "Ah, but therein lies the problem, Senator Ordan. Who decides which governments are reliable enough to actually give the money to farmers?" Stark chuckled slightly and shook his head. "With corruption such a terrible issue at certain points along the Rim, and indeed, even in the Core, there is no true way pending a thorough investigation of the entire matter. Ah, well. His measure is not likely to pass and therefore, is a moot point. Senator Cerra, please, feel no rudeness. You are eating for two and you must retain your health so that you may continue to speak for Garos IV. It's quite a burden you're shouldering and I'll not see you become ill if I can assist in keeping you fed."

Janar_Cerra would just laugh "Which burden? children are never a burden...the senate seat most definately is" she never hid her dislike for being senator. "You are correct, we do not know which governments will actually use the tax breaks responsble and give it to those who deserve it, but at times we much blindly trust leaders and believe they have our best interests in view at all time" she would shrug her shoulders. She was a responsible monarch, at least she felt that way and her people did. There were so many checks that she could not be irresponsible even if she really wanted to be.

Senator_Ordan "Being a mother, and Queen and Senator, that must be a hard burden to carry indeed. And I admit you do not do the task injustice. I do not trust half the rulers in the Outer Rim with a 5% cut of Imperial Taxes.. I feel it would mostly go on mansions and luxuries for the indolent majority. I do not doubt you'd see your farmers saw all of yours.. Madam Cerra, but few are so trustworthy."

-= [Alyn Stark] "I believe that children may well be a burden, but that's just a personal opinion." Stark chuckled slightly and shook his head. "Wherever it goes, it would not go to the proper places I feel. Alas, such is what it is. Fortunately, Lorrd does not need to worry overmuch about such an issue. The Kinyov Province, I can assure you both, insignificant as it may be in galactic politics, is never run unfairly. If all such senators and rulers worked for the greater good, then there would be far less self-serving interests."

Janar_Cerra would nod her head for a moment "Yes and Senator Ordan I do believe that is contradicting that you said this morning in our Senate Session..." she would just shake her head as she finishes up her lovely sandwich. It was the reason why she had left so early. She needed to get out and just get some fresh air, be near normal people.

Senator_Ordan "Rhetoric is rhetoric, one must articulate one's position with all the fire one has." he said carelessly with regard to his protracted insult "Well it's never a good idea to keep the poor too poor or they'd become unhappy, I think this principle of Noblesse oblege ought to be carried widely across the galaxy To fine provinces such as yours. I certainly allow the Elite to rise, one must always see the diamond in the rough.. Mud and gold come out of the same shaft, as they do say.. I must say. Even my slaves are well fed and clothed, better I'll warrant than many on their home worlds. And with chances for advancement as a reward for displaying merit. Meritocracy, that is what I further Mr Stark, Senator Cerra, the advancement of those who deserve it. That is what the Empire should be, not an auto-teller for greedy Outer Rim despots."

-= [Alyn Stark] Stark was a reasonable man, all things considered, and he did see the value in what Ordan was speaking of, but there was one thing that hardened his smile, though he kept it on his face, and narrowed his eyes. "Slavery, Senator Ordan? Surely you don't see any real need for that archaic institution." Like many Lorrdians, Stark had been raised with a great respect and understanding of slavery due to the Lorrdian history of being under Argazdan rule before being freed by the Jedi and the Republic. While this was obviously many years before Stark's birth (over 300 in fact) and despite the fact that some Argazdans felt ashamed, there was always an animosity there, and Lorrdians were known to be outspoken against slavery as an institution. "I don't deny you may care well enough for them, Senator, but every man deserves his freedom."

Janar_Cerra had spent sometime in bondage when she was a teenager, her free will striped away, she would let out a heavy sigh "I must agree with Alyn, Every being deserves to be free." she would look to Ordan, her eyes seeming to darken as she look at the man, perhaps because she could relate at some level to those forced to be slaves, forced to live a life someone else had set uo for them. "We will never reach our true potential if beings are kept in bondage"

Senator_Ordan Ordan gave another smirk "Well, slaves are sentenced to life labour by Imperial Courts.. I see myself as a benefactor by giving them a chance to work, live and advance. It would be off to the Spice Mines of Kessel if I were not such a generous man as to buy them and let them work their way to new lives." The esteemed man gave a slight frown. "That sounds precious close to questioning Imperial penal policy? Surely a man who gives up the right to his freedom through rebellion or crime is best with a caring Master to rehabilitate them instead of flogging them to death on some outer rim hell? Indeed, in some respects I am one of the kindest and most liberal men out there."

-= [Alyn Stark] "I can understand working off a debt to society in a prison format, Senator Ordan and if stating that every man deserves his freedom is questioning Imperial penal policy, then I suppose I am doing such. However, I am am the Emperor's man to my core, and if a man has committed rebellion, or another high crime, then I fear I must agree with the wisdom of Senator Tu'Rot who so often proclaims, 'death to the enemies of the Empire.' You may be more kindhearted when it comes to rebellion, sedition and traitors, Senator Ordan, but I am not. Not in the least, nor will I ever be. Of course," Stark said as he visibly calmed, "If we are discussing minor crimes; theft, vandalism, such things of that nature, then I believe a prison sentence is sufficient."
