| Ilanah_Thanatos was sitting in the middle of their bed with the album she had given him when they re-connected just over a year ago, she also had the holo recorder, and another album from the second time they had gotten married. Her datapad was on her lap and she was looking at it, incredibly puzzled. It had been a few weeks since Kal had brought her home from Imperial center after the catastrophe with the droids...and the shuttle. She hadn't spoken much to Kal, but then again, she had been busy with having Caden and taking care of him, and trying to push the memory from that awful day out of her mind. There were a few things that were confusing to her since then, but she hadn't wanted to voice them to Kal, but this was too much. "Kal?" She called out. Ilanah had absolutely no idea where he would have been, but she didn't feel like digging her way out from under the stuff on the bed....and it was still very painful to walk.
Kal_Thanatos silently stood over the crib where their son was sleeping, a warm smile on his face, seeing his son just laying there peacefully. His son woudn't have to know of the wars and battles that were fought. He'd only have to worry about eating, sleeping and the various other baby things. From their bedroom, Kal could hear his name called out. Helooked up before turning and heading out of their son's room and into theirs. There, on the bed, he would see Lana, sitting with various things scattered all across the bed, and a puzzled look on her face. He'd take a moment to look at her before questioning why he had been summoned, "Something wrong?"
Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "I'm not sure, Kal. I uh....." She turned the datapad around and held it out so he could see. "Why is the Senator from Telos IV writing me like we're best friends?" She asked. Lana pushed herself up onto her knees so she could reach and hand him the datapad with his note and her response on it. He would likely realize pretty quickley that something was wrong.
Kal_Thanatos laughed for a moment, before stopping and questioning it in his head. It was very unusual behavior for her. His hand would reach out, taking the datapad from her. His eyes would skim over it, knowing that what was written was the normal for the two. He'd look up from the datapad, "Why do you ask that, Lana? You two are good friends."
Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "Since when? I've only met him once or twice." She frowned, sitting back down in the middle of the clutter. Lana pushed her hair back from her eyes for a moment and then looked at him again.
Kal_Thanatos now had a puzzled look on his face as well. He couldn't imagine why she was acting this way now. He'd slowly take a seat on the edge of the bed as he would continue on, "You've known him for a while. Since before we re-connected on the Imperial Center..."
Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head again and paled some. "What do you mean we 're-connected'?" She asked, shifting uncomfortably. Lana pulled her hair back again, this time fastening it with a clip. there was still the deep cut and the residual bruise that spanned her forehead to her temple on the right side, from the accident. "I don't...understand."
Kal_Thanatos just sat there, looking at her, totally confused. She didn't know what he meant by 're-connected'. What was wrong with her? He'd attempt to explain, "Yea. You remember, I went off the deep end and you left me several years ago. Then, out of the blue, I show up on the Imperial Center, my memory wiped, and ran into you. You helped me remember everything, including what happened between us. We then remarried and ran around the Galaxy. What's going on here, Lana? You messing around with me?"
Ilanah_Thanatos had thought, until that day she turned her datapad on and saw that message, that everything was clear. She was a senator, she had been married to Kal Thanatos since she was 18, and they had a son. It was clear. One little message, threw that all upside down. "I don't remember any of that."
Kal_Thanatos couldn't figure this out. What had happened to her? He had to know, "Do you remember anything from this past year or so?"
Ilanah_Thanatos thought about it for several moments and sort of shrugged. "I worked...a lot.' she bit her lip lightly and watched him. "Oh! We went to see Titus Veritas last month....and you took me on vacation to Naboo about a year ago?" They were spotty memories, at best.
Kal_Thanatos was glad to hear she remembered something. It dawned on him. Could the crash have been the reason why her memory was spotty? She did hit her head and there was proof of that on her forhead. He'd take a look at her for a second, "Is there anything else you remember? The dinner on Lorrd? My job? Anything?"
Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "Should I? What's...going on?"
Kal_Thanatos nodded to her, "Yea, you should remember more. What's going on is that I think during that crash on the Imperial Center with the Droid incident, something happened when you hit your head and it messed with your memory."
Ilanah_Thanatos sighed deeply and pushed some of the stuff out of the way so she could slide off of the bed. Since winced some as she put all of her weight on her leg that she had broken. "So what does...I mean....what does that mean?"
Kal_Thanatos hestitated for a second, sighing at the situation. It was difficult. Was this what she had gone through with him, when she helped him regain his memory? He tilted his head down, "It means that you've suffered trauma to your head, blocking or even erasing some of your memory."
Ilanah_Thanatos moved over and stopped in front of him. she rested her hand on his cheek for a moment. "If I don't remember anything that i should, you'll tell me, and then I will remember." she trusted him, though there were still some things she couldn't figure out.
Kal_Thanatos turned, watching her as she moved over and in front of him. The warmth of her hand on his cheek was relaxing and reassuring to him. He gave her a nod, telling her, "Of course I will. It's just a small hurdle that we have to jump over. I'm just glad that you still remember me....you do, right?"
Ilanah_Thanatos narrowed her eyes some, pursing her lips a little. "Who are you, again? remind me."
Kal_Thanatos froze as she said that. He couldn't tell if she was joking. If she had been, she was pretty damn good at keeping a straight face. He tilted his head just slightly, "You better be messing around, Lana..."
Ilanah_Thanatos tilted her head. "Lana? Who's that?"
Kal_Thanatos was starting to get a little worried now. "Cut it out..."
Ilanah_Thanatos smirked, and started laughing, unable to hide it any more. "Do you remember how we met?"
Kal_Thanatos shook his head at her laughing. He couldn't believe she would play around about that. It was just plain mean. Thinking for just a second, he would nod his head, "Of course I do. You saved my life, nursed me back to health. Hell, I've still got the scar to forever remind me of that day."
Ilanah_Thanatos shook her head. "I didn't save your life....whoever brought you to us did." She thought about it for a moment. There were blank, empty spaces in the thoughts, but they were mostly there. she rubbed her thumb lightly over his shoulder where she knew the scar was. "We got married a year or so later....after my father died." she thought that was right.
Kal_Thanatos nodded to her, "You were the one to get me back to health, so you saved me.." He watched her hand on his shoulder, rubbing her thumb where the scar was.
