| Ana was immediately and gratefully distracted from the topic as the planet finally came into view. It was one of the few places she had actually been, though she had always wanted to travel more. The situation between the pair seemed like...well...that she would be doing much, much more of that instead of being in one place all of the time.
"You....live here? " she asked, shocked by the enormity of the landing area and the castle attached. Ana finally turned her gaze back to him. "And to answer your question....we could talk to him, but I am not sure that would haveany impact of a descision that is mine to make. Do you"She smiled brightly and got up to leave the ship.

| Stark's part of the Kinyov Province where his home rested was majestic indeed in a number of ways. It was, as some had pointed out to him, a veritable fortress on the world, but it served as his home well enough. "I do live here, on occasion, when I am not flying about elsewhere. Some days I fear my yachts are more my home than here as of late. As for the good Representative, you are correct. It is entirely your decision, and I would hope that you would say yes regardless of what he might say.
"I simply meant that, even if you were to say yes before we saw him, I would ask him as a form of propriety, my dear. Though I can't see why we'd have to stand on all old customs, would we?" He smiled and offered her his hand to rise and exit the craft.

| Ana nodded her understanding and smiled some. "I know what you meant,Alyn. " She said as she took his hand and walked off of the transport.
"Do you ever wish you were just....home? Like here? Doesn't the space travel get old, even inboard that magnificent ship of yours? " She wondered aloud. She thought for a moment that maybe it was horribly lonely all of the time. Or maybe he kept busy enough that he did noteven have time to think about it.
Ana paused and then pushed herself onto her toes and kissed his cheek lightly. "Go work...I will be fine." She murmured contently.

| As they exited the craft into the chamber, they would be met with several people in the gray-and-black colors of the castle dress. Beyond them, Stark could see Irlilia Dannen, the Hapan Shadowguard, awaiting him as well. "I do wish often that I was home, here, and I intent to spend more time here once this business of interim senator is settled. This will allow me to focus solely on the Kinyov Province and my family... if I am to have one." He glanced at her again and smiled. "If you are sure you will be fine, then I shall go attend to the people. I love you, Ana. Try not to get into trouble." He said the last with a wink and a wide grin. As he moved away towards Irlilia, the servants and workers would move to cluster around Ana, asking her if there was anything she needed and in general, trying to be helpful.

| Ana felt her cheeks flush some and she glanced down. A family? She hadn't even remotely thought about it. "Yes if course....I am sure i am in good hands here." She smiled and watched him go.
A bit later....
"I swear I'm nit hungry...I can wait for Lord Stark." Ana weird kindly at the woman who continued, relentlessly, to feed her. Ana gad been told that she was all skin and bones, which made her laugh. "I promise...if I need anything I will seek you out first." Everyone had been so helpful, some overly so, and kind. She was grateful for that, but it did make her wonder if they were like that to everyone, or id they did not have guests often.
Either way, Ana found herself retreating to a garden in a courtyard she had seen on one of the tours she had been taken on.

| While Stark was away on business, Ana would have plenty of time to tour the castle proper, or its grounds, such as they were at five kilometers above the earth. She was likely to find the staff pleasant and helpful, as well as the droids. She might also notice that she had a pair of shadows; a tall man who dressed impeccably in a black suit with long gray hair tied back in a ponytail, who was matched by an even taller man who wore unmistakable Mandalorian armor. If Ana had known precisely whom these men were and what they were capable of, she might well understand further how much Stark wanted her kept safe; Gadrid Morthol and Tarin Mako were among the deadliest of his Shadowguard and both together covered the chances of ranged or close-in attackers in the event that the castle security was somehow breached.
Stark's first day consisted of work. He presided over a few cases, allowing the judges to make their rulings unhindered and simply offering advice when asked; he spoke with the local security prefects and inspected the line police and the security forces, as well as emplacements from the Portal to the Summit, joking and laughing with guards and civilians alike. Many congratulations were offered to him on his appointment as interim senator of Lorrd, and he accepted the compliments graciously and modestly. Several times he was invited to dine with one family or another, but he refused out of a sense of duty, stating that his absence had made him aware of the duties he'd missed. In truth, Stark's stomach would not have been able to hold the food from every offer, and to accept some and turn down others would be rude.
At the end of two days, most of his inspections were done. He'd yet to visit Jendos Merced, his longtime friend and Lord of House Malos in Lorrd City; Merced would not necessarily expect him to come right away. What he didn't expect, however, was a letter of congratulations from House Garth. House Volmen was strangely silent, considering they'd voted for him and Garth hadn't. House Garth sent an invitation for him to attend a dinner at their manor in Lorrd. It would be rude to refuse, but the chance something could occur there was quite possible. Finally though, he returned to Ana.

| It had taken hours for Ana to pry the names from the two shadowguards that followed her everywhere. Talking didn't seem their strong suit at all, not that she minded terribly. They stayed out if her way for the most part, except when they had a slight incident in the kitchen after she had convinced the chef that he needed to teach her how to make Alyn's favorite dish. She had nothing better to do, really.
When Alyn finally returned though, she was delighted, and flung her arms around him in an embrace. "Everything went well, I imagine? " She asked, acutely aware that they were still being watched, but she didn't much care at the moment.

| Ana would find, had she engaged them in further conversation, that the Shadowguard were more than willing to engage in conversation with her. As per Stark's orders, they were to treat her as they treated him and guard her the same. When Stark returned though, he caught Ana in an embrace, sweeping her off her feet and spinning around once. "Quite well, my dear. Just a few routine matters and checkups. I have the favor of the people and, strangely..." He paused and set her down, "I have received a dinner invitation from House Garth. Odd tidings indeed."

| She kept her arms around him as he told her what he had been up to. When he mentioned the dinner invitation, she frowned some, not understanding. "Who is that and why is it so odd? Would you like me to come with you so I can protect you?" Ana joked, to lighten the mood some. Where she came from, a dinner invitation was generally a good thing and a nice gesture. She was rather certain that there were many, many things she did not know or understand. Especially about Lorrd and even Alyn Stark.
"I am glad everything went well for you, though. I had no doubt that it would." She said after he set her back down on the floor. Ana withdrew a moment later and offered him a small smile. "Was I really in enough danger that the boys needed to stalk my every move?" She cracked a smirk, joking about the shadows that had been a constant in her world for the last two days.
"Not that I mind. They're both just....lovely." She joked as she looped her arm around Alyn's gently. "In all seriousness, though, I missed you." Ana glanced up at him briefly before she glanced ahead again.

| "And I missed you as well, my dearest." Stark gave her a smile, then turned with a nod to his Shadowguard, whereupon both men spun about and departed. "I would not say you were in any real danger; Castle Stark is practically impenetrable to covert forces and was built to withstand a prolonged ground assault as well, even from the air... well, who can say? But I wish to keep you safe, and while I have friends on Lorrd, I have enemies as well."
Moving to lean against one of the polished marble walls, he sighed and shook his head. "That brings me back to the invitation. Comos Garth, leader of House Garth, has ever been opposed to me. He was opposed when I was leader of House Malos and he has been opposed to me even after I was named Lord of the Kinyov Province. I suspect it was he who sent assassins against me some years back, but I could never prove it. You see my dear, Lorrdian politics frown upon open warfare from House to House. Considering the man stood against my appointment as interim senator, I am surprised he would so cordially invite me to a congratulatory supper. I can hardly decline, though."

| "You could decline though, Alyn. You maybe have something more important going on. Like....taking your fiancee on a trip." She smiled some, teasing him. The truth was, she didn't want him to go and then leave her to worry for him. She already knew that if something were to happen to the man, she would be quite devastated.
She also didn't understand why, if he knew this person was dangerous, he would put himself in harms way. Ana turned away for a moment, pacing the hall briefly as she thought things over. "I mat not have shadowguards or an impenetrable castle, Alyn Stark, but I wantnto keep you safe also...."

| "This is true. I suspect the people of Lorrd will be quite happy to hear that their favorite philanthropist is to be married." Stark chuckled at the thought and nodded. "I do owe you a trip to Naboo. While technically I'd be doing House Garth a slight, it might well work more in our favor later on. After all, I have taken care of my duties within the province and with all the hats I wear, time is certainly precious.
"I know your desire to keep me safe, Ana, but it is you whom I wish protected. Trust that I can defend myself, as I have before." His smile was more grim this time, with a hard edge to it as he thought back to the not-so-distant past. Even before he'd become a captain he was well versed in how to kill... or how to defend. One day, perhaps, Ana would see that side of him, but he hoped it never came to pass. It could raise certain awkward questions that he was not prepared to answer yet. "I believe I will decline, my love. We have more interesting and enjoyable things to do. I do look forward to relaxing on Naboo, after all."

| "I haven't technically said yes yet, Mr. Stark." She smiled to him. It was pretty much settled in her mind. He had wanted to speak to Artemis though, so there was still that to do. "But I imagine that they will as well, even if its just to an untitled girl from Naboo." She really had no issue with it, and knew he did not as well.
"Do we still have time here, or do we need to go right away? " she asked, relieved that he had decided to decline the invitation. Ana wouldn't have dine anything to stop him if he was set on going, but she certainly wouldn't have been happy about it.

| "Hm... that is a very interesting issue. I do hope that at some point you will say yes." An impish grin this time, filled with amusement. "We have some time here, or we can depart at our leisure, if you wish to go. I would not want to rush you, and I am sure Jendos will not mind me not dropping in this time. It's not as if he and I don't speak at all." Jendos MErced and Stark went back quite a ways and they'd seen more battles together than some of the present-day Imperial captains.

| She smirked some. "I probably will...when you ask properly." She was teasing him, of course, and couldn't resist doing so. It kept thongs light, she felt. He had enough work and didn't want him to be too bogged down and serious. "Show me your favorite part of this castle, Alyn. We can go whenever you're ready then. I am content to do whatever you feel we need to do."
"Artemis is expecting me in a few days though. Us, actually. " she smiled and moves back to him and slippers her arm around his to walk.
