| Vissk simply awaited his turn to speak again. When the time came to cross-examine the next witness, he would ask the same question, "Second Technician Ironschlafen, can you point to the Sluissi who attempted to sabotage the Vjunite vessel?"

| Once again, Vissk refuted the same point. "Your honor, as I have mentioned, there is a log of my signing out the shuttle, which is Sluissi property, footage of me on a multitude of security holocams and a multitude of witnesses whop can place me off-planet at the time of this incident. If any of the other witnesses also wish to make a claim against me, my answer will be the same."

| "I ask you, your honor, whether or not solid, existing proof on a number of recording devices, the flight logs of a vessel, the records of the vessel's takeoff and landing, radio communications and a visual factor by other Humans and Sluissi alike placing me off world at the time of this activity weighs more than the word of two men who, while loyal, are obviously mistaken.
"If you may recall, your honor, there is no conspiracy from the Sluis Sector against Vjun. The Sluis Sector has no need to expand here; there is nothing that, to my knowledge, could be used tactically here and above all, we were invited here to refit your fleet once a purchase was made by your government.

| The Judge sat back in his seat, as if mulling over the facts. Before nodding to the Sluissi "Guilty on all counts. You are all Sentenced to Death for your Crimes against the people of Vjun and it's interests."
After the Justice of the Peace brought down the hammer, the beings in the cage were shot with near-lethal stun doses. Their hands were used in the grip of FIII footman droids to put their names to the confession penned for them, the signatures were exact copies of those placed upon the original documents, care was taken to allow their hands to encounter the paper also and leave fingerprints and DNA etc. Naturally the droids memories would later be erased.
In addition, the Sluissi leader and several others would have his hand placed on the bomb so as to produce some satisfactory fingerprints. After this they would be taken to the rear of the courthouse, and as per the punishment proscribed in law would be executed by acid immersion after being stunned, their deaths would be quick, and their bodies atomized by the acid.
There were several documents "signed" by the stunned Sluissi before their deaths, the documents were printed in the Judge's handwriting as if he had taken the transcription before allowing the Sluissi to sign. First among these was the following.
""I Rassk Vissk confess fully and freely the following facts.
That under the orders of my Government I did wantonly and without thought for others order the preparation of a weapon system that could be detonated by vessels of our fleet in the event of an engagement between Vjunite and Sluissi ships when I was last present aboard the Vjunite Corvette Fyrdracca.
I personally placed the warhead within the main reactor housing, conscious of the fact the Vjunite crewmen and officers had little technical knowledge of this system (which is why we were brought in to maintain it). The casing was removed and we removed it from the ship, instructing the Vjunites that it was an inoperative torpedo that we would have replaced.
The working components were removed and affixed to a detonation charge and radio device, this was programmed to work on old sublimity frequencies and so avoid jamming of hyper comms.
My whole crew was fully aware of the mission, on behalf of them and myself I can only offer my most heartfelt apology for this wanton act of war against the people of Vjun who have been caring employers and provided generously for us. I apologise to my family for allowing my loyalty to Sluis Van to overtake my professional ethics as an Engineer.
I am unaware as to whom my orders came from aside from the fact it was from my superiors, although I think it likely that this may come from further up the chain of command. I do not know the reason for my mission, and never questioned my orders as befits a loyal follower of my state.
I beg for divine clemency to be given to my men who only were following my orders.
