Vigilance Technologies Turns Over A New Leaf
THOVINACK- A statement made earlier this week by Vigilance Technologies spokesman Ralph Torrent highlighted a number of issues for which Vigilance Technologies came under fire for, largely the production of its drone starfighter designs. "The people of the galaxy are, understandably, still too caught in the memories and fears of the Clone Wars," Torrent went on to say, "This was the wrong time to attempt such a venture and in light of Brentaal and Rothana pulling their design, Vigilance Technologies has followed suit." This isn't to say the Thovinack-based company is giving up, though. "We still intend to produce nonlethal security drones for private firms, prisons and other companies. In the meantime, we've begun altering our production line to include a new method of marketing that will allow for more safety and security when our product is sold to the peoples of the galaxy. In the coming months, expect to see some new designs and ideas coming from us."
Vigilance Technologies was denied the right to an Aurek-class license earlier this week during a hearing with the Defense Committee.
New Political Party on Lorrd Incites Issues
LORRD CITY- Over the past two weeks, semi-prominent political figure Harald Lennon, founder of the Kinyov Democratic Party, has waged a public campaign calling for a reform of Lorrd's government system, citing on several occasions the supposed tyranny of Lorrd's tricameral parliament system and calling down Lorrdian Representative Alyn Stark for his position as Lord of the Kinyov Province. While supposedly a peaceful party, a recent act of violence wherein supposed supporters of Representative Stark took hostages and clashed with supposed supporters of Mr. Lennon in the Kinyov Democratic Party's headquarters has many wondering whether or not the Democratic Party has alternate aims or whether Representative Stark's supporters are simply too rabid.
The culmination of this event occurred yesterday when Kinyov Province Police Forces arrested Mr. Lennon on the grounds of inciting rebellion against the Empire. This story will be watched closely in the coming days.
Alyn Stark Announces Engagement
LORRD CITY- Alyn Stark, Representative of Lorrd and owner of the well-known Stark Defense Conglomerate announced his engagement to Ana Riley of Naboo earlier today. Mrs. Riley, a resident of Naboo and longtime aide to Representative Artemis Vanden of Naboo has been seen often with Representative Stark as of late and to some, the announcement comes as no surprise. Jendos Malos of Lorrd's House Malos commented that, "Alyn is a lucky fellow. I haven't had the chance to meet Mrs. Riley yet, but he's spoken of her quite often to me. I'm glad he's finally found someone that's good for him." The wedding is expected to take place later this year.
