The Fighting Chance had emerged out of hyperspace, into the orbit of Dantooine. Almost right away, he would send in a landing clearance. Nobody had known the Libs' leader had purchased a YT-1300 light freighter. He had use an alias to purchase the ship, and wasn't going to use his Libs' codename to sign. The Imperial Intelligence may have found out his codename since Black Sheep wasn't really being used until after the man was discovered to be a rebel. The leader has a lot of work to do after his visit on the farm planet concludes.

The Libs had long known that there were rebel elements on the farm planet, thus he wasn't sure how that would sit well with his possible ally.

((OOC: This took place after meeting with Ja'nar.))

It just so happened Le Grange and his boys were at the Garang landin' fields, ridin' shotgun for Doc Danson as the Doc collected his month's shipment of remedies. It was a hot morning on Dantooin'. The sun was high. Le Grange grunted as he set a crate down in the bed of Doc's repulsortruck and looked to the sky, wiping sweat from his forehead. He noticed the YT-1300 comin' in and touching down on Slapp's field, near as you can kick a nerf pod. Le Grange needed a break. "Goin' take a walk, fellas," he said. He figured on bein' neighborly and made his way to the ship. He'd be standing there when the ramp lowered, his thumbs in his belt loops. "Howdy," he'd say to whoever done showed his face.

"Colonel!" Came a voice from the background as a repulsortruck came speeding beside him. Inside was a man whom was dressed in regular clothing, an undercover agent that worked for Khoonda. "There is a man in that freighter that is wanted for questioning by the Administrator... we'd like your assistance." The truck would stop and a few men would get out from the bed, with some stun batons as well as stun cuffs and other goodies. "Wanna have the honors?" He'd ask.

The former Senator was wearing an uniform that would uniquely associate him with the rest of the Libs. If there was anyone on Dantooine that was paying attention to the HoloNet lately, they would recognize Tremaine. Then again, they might not because some people are incomplete when it comes to recognizing politicians. The Telosian brought an A280 blaster rifle with him, keeping the assault rifle in his grip. To anyone that is watching the man walk down the ramp, they would recognize him as an offworld rebel.

Once he walked down the ramp, he'd see a native that was about to be friendly when a few more men appeared to take him in for custody. "Oh shit. I didn't come across half a galaxy just to get myself arrested." The Telosian would raise his rifle and pointed at all of them. After a few moments had passed, he began to wonder in the back of his head whether this was all a plan by a friend of his. For the moment, he would keep his guard up.

Vince didn't have a lot to do today. He was a rancher, not a farmer, and his herds wouldn't be too lonesome with him in town for the afternoon. Once the Doc had all his remedies delivered safely to his office, he and the boys planned to throw back a few beers in celebration of a job done, then see about putting together a down-home BBQ (mainly as an excuse for more drinkin'—a man developed quite a thirst in this heat). It was a simple day... that just got complicated.

In the span of an instant, guns were everywhere. This wasn't necessarily unusual on Dantooin', mind. But the fella on the ship with his shiny new rifle and a uniform that Vince couldn't place was unusual. Next thing Vince knew, that militia boy he'd seen around Garang now and then--Hoss was his name, wasn't it?--sped onto the scene quick as a kath hound to put bracelets on the fella. Now that there was damn unusual—the militia were a fine bunch of boys and they could drink as well as anyone on Dantooin' who ain't Amos Moses, but they never got up to much. The people of Dantooin' took care of themselves, mostly. This militia boy and his toughs showin' up on behalf of Old Man Ray his self was mighty rare. Fella on this ship must be dangerous, Vince figured.

The boys, meanwhile (as aforementioned, near as a man can kick a nerf pod), noticed the speeder and the guns and saw their boss on the givin' end of shiny rifle. They dropped what they was doin' and reached for metal, pointing their pistols at Tremaine, too. Vince was about to do the same when, as was the custom on Dantooin', a crowd of chillun ran up to the ship. Carmichaels, most of 'em—the chillun of Maryanne's many ill-fated marriages. They always ran out here to the landin' fields when a newcomer set down, meanin' to sell him something or, if they ain't got nothin' to sell, to get a look at the ship or at some funny-lookin' species they ain't never seen.

But this weren't no place for chillun today. The kids, a dozen or so of 'em and barefoot every one, froze in their tracks, their eyes and mouths wide open when they saw they'd done run into a standoff. Vince held his hands out at his sides non-threateningly. "Put down your guns, boys," he called out to Doc and the boys, "This fella doesn't want any trouble"—he looked at Tremaine—"Do ya, fella? This boy here's with the militia: you ain't done nothing wrong by Dantooin', ain't got nothin' to worry 'bout from him. Probably just wants to talk, so what do you say? Put down that shiny rifle of yours, hey? There's chillun present." Not that he had much choice; between Doc, Le Grange's boys, and the militia boys, Tremaine was outnumbered more than 10-to-1.

"And if it's okay with you, Hoss," he added, glancing back to the militia men, "me and my boys will let the militia handle this one. I'm just bein' neighborly and gettin' the business end of a rifle for my trouble."

Once Tremaine would raise his rifle, the men would quickly activate their stun batons and assume a defensive stance. With all the kids around as well as innocent people around, there weren't about to be any chances. "Drop the weapon!" One of the undercover militia called out. They slowly proceeded to approach the ship. "We are under orders by Administrator Ray to take you in... you might wanna follow our instruction before we have to call in the big guns." They wouldn't call in for reinforcements at the moment, but if Tremaine didn't act quick, Dantooine would be running up his backside... in a heart beat.

Once Tremaine had realized every gun other than his were pointed at him, he had no choice but to lower his weapon. "Alright, I meant no harm. I didn't come here to fight anyway." He nodded lightly at the Colonel, trying to give an impression that he wasn't a threat. Just to be safe, he slowly put the assault rifle onto the ramp. It would slowly move down onto the plains of Dantooine. The Telosian kept his hands up just in case. "So which way's Khoonda?" He spoke to one of the militia men.

In the back of Tremaine's mind, he was gambling his life on his friend. Perhaps the militia were the means of transportation to get to where he wanted it to be, as odd as that may sound. For the moment, he would play along. Tremaine knew he cannot stay in one place for very long, because his plans are soon put into motion and he wanted to be where he was supposed to be at.

For now, ol' Vince Le Grange minded his own business, stood back and let Hoss and the militia boys take the city slicker in, nodding as he passed him by. He'd talk to Old Man Ray later and find out who that fella was and why he was so important. First, he needed to help Doc with his remedies or there weren't goin' be no Stonekey in it for him. He headed back to Doc and the boys, taking a gander at the chillun on his way. "Hortence, your mama know you and your baby brother Bubba ain't in school? You get now, y'hear? Don't make me tell on y'all to Miss Maryanne." The chillun scattered like a head o' nerf at first sight of a laigrek, and Le Grange and the boys got back to work.

Once the Telosian held his hands up, the undercover militia would rush him, firmly each of them grabbing onto his arms and placing him into stun cuffs. Once secured, one of the undercover militia would lean into his ear. "Don't worry, you're in good hands... per Exar." They'd lead him to the back of the truck where his legs would of been secured with some leg irons and the man would be forced to sit in the truck. The driver and passenger would enter and proceed to start up the truck. As it drove away from the landing site, the man in the back with Tremaine would show him the news article. "Whores... nasty bit of business eh?" Before activating his stun baton and taking a good swing at Tremaine's head with it. A black mask would go over his head and his body covered with a tarp as they proceeded towards the Khoonda Building... or so Tremaine would think.

The Telosian was cuffed, which left him defenseless for the time being. He'd have to be careful about who would turn on him. When the militia reassured Tremaine, he didn't really believe the man due to being stuck in cuffs. For the first time in a long time, he felt like a prisoner being transported somewhere else. Perhaps he was if Exar was just luring the Telosian to his homeworld so he could get the credit for the capture. He was a bit apprehensive, which isn't going to do anything to help him at the moment.

Then one of the militia men sitting next to him had shown a newspaper article on his "death." The former Senator scoffed, "Do I look dead and filled with crap to you?" Tremaine would manage to sport a smirk before he was knocked out cold by a stun baton.

Moments later, the repulsor truck would enter the personal garage of Exar Ray. Once safely inside the garage, the Militia men would grab Tremaine's body and drag him into Exar's basement. Underneath a lone light would be a chair in which they'd place Tremaine. Chaining him to the chair, they'd take off his hood. Moments afterwards, Exar would enter his home and proceed to the basement. There, he'd be briefed on what had happened and thus looked at his former friends.

"This is hard to digest, old friend..."

He would mutter these words as he looked at Tremaine's body. He would be safe for now but only for a short time. It didn't help that his ship landed smack dab in the middle where everyone could see it. He'd have to formulate a plan to get it removed.

"Get to his ship and junk it somewhere... strip it of valuables... and bring back the navigational charts. I don't want any source of Dantooine anywhere."

The men would salute and remove themselves to go back to the ship. Right now, it was Exar and Tremaine. The possibilities that presented itself in the room now, just made it too good to pass up. Yet in reality, they'd come for him too. Grabbing some water, he'd throw it at Tremaine's face.

"WAKE UP!"

He'd shout before grabbing a shovel and smacking it against the ground.

Tremaine couldn't dream up anything. He was knocked out cold by the stun baton a while ago. However, he didn't keep his eyes closed for long. Water would be dumped mostly onto his face. Then the next moment was a loud shouting by Exar and a loud bang of the shovel. That was more than enough to wake him up. His eyes were immediately opened, but the vision was blurry at first. It went on like that for a couple more moments. Once his eyesight cleared up, he would speak in a firm tone. "Senator Ray?"

"Very observant, as usual... Tremaine"

Exar would do the pleasures of kicking over a datapad with the news report on it. The Imperials had taken the trouble to fabricate an obvious lie, and once they discovered that Tremaine was behind something, they did everything they could to try and tarnish his name. For now, the plan was to let the story sit for the time being. Eventually, the galaxy would know the truth, and the fact that Tremaine Fowlkes, a fugitive of the Empire... was directly beneath the dirt in which they assumed was a loyal planet.

"It does my heart good knowing you're still alive, my friend. When this broke, I knew for a fact that you were alive. However, we have must to discuss as well as a plan to figure out how to keep you safe."

He'd approach Tremaine and un-cuff him from the the chair, as well as the stun cuffs on his hands. Once free, Exar would kick the cuffs into the darkness and grab another chair from the darkness and sit it in front of him. He'd take a seat knowing that his house was locked up tight, and gave strict orders for no one to bother him... unless it was a matter of dire consequences.

"Firstly, your ship will be impounded. Anything linked to you from this moment on is no longer in existence. That being said, your ship is going to be stripped for parts and then eventually scrapped for parts to use by anyone whom sees fit. Then anything else will be junked. I'm sorry, but I cannot allow you to emerge."

"You'll take comfort here in my basement until you gather the resources to move you elsewhere. I don't care how long you are here, however while you are here... I cannot allow you to move during the day. Night time would be most appropriate in your case."

"Should you require anything, inform me and I will ensure you get what you need... now then..."

The man would rise and click on all the lights. Tremaine would see a bed to his right, nicely made with some pillows laying on top. Behind him was his own personal bathroom equipped with a small shower. To his left, was a small closet in which had some clothing in it already. Directly in front of him would be his entrance/exit. Walking over to the closet, Exar would pull out some clothing and hand it to him.

"If you are going to be a resident here... you will dress like one."

The sun was almost down over Garang (presumably, since Tremaine was hit in the face with a stun baton and was now awake, quite some time must have passed). Vince and the boys had put in a good day's work and celebrated with a round or three at Jambo's Bar and Grill. He and the boys were ridin' back to the ranch, but figured on making a stop on the way at the old Ray place to find out what all that commotion was about this mornin'. It weren't common the militia took a man into custody right on landin', and the more he drank the stranger it seemed to Le Grange. "Y'boys wait up, mind?" he said as he dismounted outside Old Man Ray's house. "You got it, boss," one of 'em said.

With a half-full bottle of Pandath Lite in his hand, and his other hand hangin' by the thumb off his belt loop, Le Grange walked across the lawn to the door of the Administrator's house. He'd been here plenty of times before, and gave the door a good knock. "Hey Mr. Ray, it's Vince!" he called out, his voice carrying in the night, "I reckoned on havin' a word, if you got the time." He knocked on the door again. "I know you're here, old man," he mumbled to himself, taking a sloppy sip of his beer, "Hell, you ain't never any place else." He knocked again.

Once Tremaine was un-cuffed off the chair, he would stretch himself for a moment. "Please send a gift basket for the guy that hit me in the head with a baton." The Telosian spoke sacrastically, showing his dislike for what had happened. Unlike Exar, he doesn't intend to sit anytime soon. The former Senator began pacing back and forth casually, "I just bought the ship. I don't care as long as you reimburse me for the ship." The more Exar spoke about keeping him most of the time, the more he didn't like it. Tremaine would look into Exar's eyes when he went over to get Tremaine a new set of clothes.

"What? I got to stay here during the day and only go out at nighttime? I can't leave my soldiers out there to combat the Empire. They need a leader." Senator Ray was known to be stubborn. If he wasn't going to be let go offworld, then he would ask for a secured channel so he could continue to call the shots.
