| Truth be told he had signed the divorce papers that she had sent to him, they were even ready to be returned so she could go on with her life and be happy. It wasn't until a few months later did he find out that one of the servants had been smart and stopped him from making a stupid decision by filing the papers in the fireplace. At this moment Zarcaine was happy that the servant had kept a level head compared to him. As he looked at Amneris he already could guess that she would shrink away from him, though he was careful and gentle, not holding her so tightly that she couldnt get away if she wanted to.
"It's not fun being alone in the dark, I should know. I've been there for a few months now." He gave a small smile to her to try and cheer her up. It was bad enough that he had fallen into depression, he didnt want to see the same happen to her as he quietly held her hand for a moment before looking at her once more. He let out a small sigh when she said she didnt think she deserved the surgeons as he lightly and gently squeezed her hand. "I wont force them on you."

| Amneris pulled her hand away and pulled the fabric back up to hide herself again. She felt better that way, truthfully. Safer. "I do not think that I deserve your help anymore, Zarcaine, but thank you for the offer." she murmured before she reached to take the glove back that he had removed from her hand.
"And I am not beautiful. Not anymore." She said before her gaze went to search for Finn. He was having too much fun, so she left him be.

| Zarcaine sighed lightly as he looked at Amneris when she pulled back and covered her arm again, his hand touching her cheek. "You're always beautiful Amneris." He knew though that it would take more than that for her to see that he'd always help her. He kept his eyes on Amneris as he smiled. "You've always deserved my help." He leaned in and lightly kissed her forehead as he took a step back, wanting to let her come to him on her terms if she decided to do so. He took another step back. "I'll always be around when you want to come to your own terms."
He hated to see her sad, though he knew he had caused her to be sad on more than one occasion as he looked to Finn, watching as the small dog continue to jump after the fireflies in the garden as Zarcaine looked back to Amneris.

| "I'm not." she said hoarsely before she turned away. Amneris turned his offer over in her mind thoughtfully for several moments. 'Are you going?" She asked before she reached down and picked up the book she had been reading. It would have been best for them both if he did, but part of her did not want him to.
"I'll talk to them....your physicians." She said. "But only talk...."

| Zarcaine stepped forward as he placed his hands on her shoulders. "That's all I ask." He kissed her cheek as he stood there silently before bringing his hands down. "I'll only stay if you want me to. If not then I'll leave you be and call the physicians for you." He stood there for a moment before he took a step back and turned, taking his leave of the garden as he headed towards the back doors, letting her take the time to think on what she wanted.

| She considered his words for several moments as she called for Finn and gathered him up. Her faithful companion had never cared what she looked like or what she did. That was his nature, and he loved her for what she was.
"I think I would like to go home...if that's alright." Amneris said, meekly. "But....there have to be some rules....."

| Zarcaine nodded when she talked about rules, of course he was expecting that she would have some rules if she were to return home. He gently took her hand in his as he looked at her. "Is there anything that you need to bring with you." He asked as he watched her pick up Finn, watching the small and fiesty puppy that was always by her side as he smiled. He looked to the door as he looked back to Amneris. "I'll wait for how ever long it takes to gather what you need."

| She shook her head. "Domnhail can bring it tomorrow." She said as she shifted Finn in her arms. "I've made you wait quite long enough, haven't I?" She said as she walked past him and out to the front of the house where the speeder waited. the guards there were those she knew, but still Amneris was not ready to let anyone see her. She wasn't sure she ever would be.

| He smiled as he nodded before they headed towards the door, opening it for her as he stepped out and looked to the two guards whom both knew not to ask anything about the situation as they simply took their seats in the front of the speeder, starting it up as Zarcaine slid in next to Amneris. Sitting quietly he kept the lights in the speeder off as he looked to her. "Should we wait for Domnhail as well?" He wanted to make sure just so they wouldn't be frightening her hand maiden.

| Amneris shook her head, knowing that the hand maid had been keeping an eye on her the entire time. "she will be fine. Unless you wish to leave one of your guards to drive her." She said softly as she let Finn jump from her lap and onto the seat. He sniffed at Zarc, then barked several times, before he walked away, indifferently.
"I don't want to be locked up anymore. And I don't want Rasuk following every footstep." she started gently, though those were not the only two things on her mind. "I would like to see more than just the Cronese Mandate....Coruscant, Chandrila, Naboo....life isn't worth living if you spend it in fear." she said as she toyed with the edge of her veil.

| Zarcaine nodded to one of the guards, of course the one whom he had nodded to had a crush on Domnhail for a time now as he looked to Amneris and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. It was probably a good idea for him to leave Chandaar, he hadn't even left the estate until tonight. He looked at her as he just nodded. "I wont hold you back anymore." He gave her a smile as he sat back in his seat and the speeder pulled away from the curb, heading towards their home. It would be a short time before they arrived at the large gates which opened for the speeder before they came down the long path, stopping in front of the large house as he looked at her.
"I have a room ready for you. Or rather the servants have kept a room ready for you. I've taken to sleeping in the study." He looked at Amneris as he opened the door and stepped out, offering her his hand if she wanted it to help her out.

| A moment of hesitation crossed her features as she at first reached out to take his hand, then retracted, then actually reached out and took it to help her out of the speeder. Finn, of course, helped himself out and took off at a breakneck speed across the grass (ears flapping wildly and tongue hanging out, of course) towards the vaguely familiar house.
"A room?" She questioned before letting go of his hand and smoothing her dress somewhat. "Which room?"

| "Ou...." He stopped for a moment before finishing the sentence, he didnt know if he should call it "their" room or not. He took a small moment to think before he spoke up. "The Master bedroom. The servants have kept it clean, though I've not been in there in months. Everything should still be as it was left." Zarcaine looked at Finn as he watched the pup go running off towards the house before he looked back at Amneris. "Looks like he's happy" He gave a slight smile before he let Amneris decide when she wanted to step into the house.

| She stared at him briefly and sighed. "Please tell me that you have not been sleeping on that awful sofa in that dark, dusty study of yours. It is uncomfortable to sit on, I couldn't imagine what it would be like to try and sleep on." Amneris said, with a measured amount of disgust in her voice. "I have half a mind to hire someone to gut the entire room and start over." She finally smiled. "So that it goes with the rest of the house, of course...." Redecorating would have been something to keep her mind off of other things, but on second thought, she would have to be around people and that was something she could not bear at all right then.
"So our room." She finally said, changing the subject.

| "Then I wont tell you that I've been sleeping on the couch in the study." It was half true for the most part, sometimes he found himself just laying down on the floor and falling asleep, or falling asleep in his chair behind the large desk. A redecorating of the study though didnt really bother him, maybe it would give Amneris something to do if she truly wanted to do it, she would get no protests from him. The other rooms for the most part though had been kept up, though with them no in use they had been covered in plastic sheets and locked away, with the master bedroom being the only one that was still unlocked and kept cleaned.
"Yes the.... our room..." He hesitated a bit before saying our, not sure if he should say it or not, though all things considering he should have just called it her room. He would more than likely be sleeping in the study once more, not wanting her to feel any pressure from him.
