Destrando City: Primed for War
KANZ CITY- Rumors of troop landings earlier this month by Argazdan forces have been confirmed. Prime Minister J'cep S'nar has stated that the Argazdan 3rd Special Troops Battalion, a portion of the Argazdan 1st Special Operations Division, has been deployed to Destrando City. The reasoning behind this deployment of soldiers into what was formerly a non-intervention area has been placed at the feet of Lorrdian Representative Alyn Stark. According to inside sources, Stark stands accused of attempting to smuggle weapons to the embattled Lorrdian miners aboard a food-carrying freighter convoy.
Prime Minister S'nar has stated that scans of the Lorrdian convoy revealed weapons and that the Lorrdian convoy captain "refused to comply with orders to stand by and be searched." As a result, the Argazdan vessel orbiting Slovo destroyed the convoy. When interviewed, Prime Minister S'nar came forth to say, "The loss of life, Lorrdian or otherwise on the freighters, is quite regrettable. However, Argazda will not stand idly by while Lorrd supplies its miners with heavy arms to use against Argazdan miners on Destrando City. This matter has been brought before the Senate and we are pursuing all means necessary to see that this conflict comes to a relatively safe end."
Representative Stark of Lorrd denied the claims, presenting the shipping manifest in a closed-session of the Senate. So far, there has been nothing to incriminate or acquit Representative Stark. Losses among the mining guilds on Destrando City is unknown at this point; all news teams have been prevented from landing on the mining city, but it is hoped that the conflict will soon come to an end.
Vigilance Technologies Facility Attacked
THOVINACK- A brutal attack on an undisclosed research and development facility by unknown assailants has left Vigilance Technologies reeling in the wake of the assault. Vigilance Technologies spokesman Ralph Torrent held a press conference late Primeday to speak on the attack.
"This assault was not foreseen by any of our security analysts; were it not for the drones fielded by Vigilance Technologies at the facility, losses in both personnel and equipment would have been much higher. As it stands, several drones were stolen as well as a number of experimental warheads standing by for testing in the hope of sale to Imperial forces. More unfortunate is the loss of twelve personnel in the attack. At this time, the facility has been shut down for major repairs and an investigation is pending as to how the attack could have occurred with such accuracy."
Vigilance Technology, which has remained out of the spotlight since its drone program was scrapped, is expected to lose stock in the upcoming days. However, business analysts within the Kanz Sector believe that if Vigilance can rally from this terrible setback, they will be able to continue forward and rebuild.
Wedding Bells are Chiming on Lorrd
LORRD CITY- Having defeated the Lorrdian Democratic Part, many have asked, "What will Representative Stark do next?" The answer is fairly obvious now as Representative Stark has expressed his intent to wed Miss Ana Riley of Naboo later this month. While the guest list is as of yet unconfirmed, prominent figures ranging from Senator Ilanah Thanatos of Chandrila to Senator Reuke Cambrist of Brentaal are expected to attend.
The massive undertaking has brought a number of businesses to Lorrd, seeking to capitalize on the wedding and the gathering of crowds to follow it. Media coverage is expected to be limited at the wedding itself, but word has come down that media crews will be welcome at the reception at Castle Stark.
