Kulan did indeed overextend himself, and while he was still moving upward and aiding Rath's lightsaber coming down he felt it cut into his shoulder, however his upward momentum at this moment was a blessing and would aid him in his next movement. His back arched as he bent over backward, using the momentum enhanced through the force to push him into a back flip which pulled Rath's lightsaber up and out of the wound, the blade cutting into Kulan's armor enough that the blade tore into a shallower cut than what was at his shoulder, though still enough that he was struggling as he completed the back flip only to enter into a second roll and push himself up to stagger to his feet a good distance away from the Inquisitor. Taking a moment to steady himself and holding his lightsaber pike and using it to keep him up. Kulan kept his eyes on the Inquisitor as he brought his hand up and touched the split metal for a moment, feeling the heat coming from it before he looked back to Deschain. Kulan took an extra step back, placing more room between him and Deschain as he would use the length of the pike to his advantage, bringing it up as he took a defensive stance, standing silently and watching him. He wouldnt move this time, this time it was up to Deschain to take the first move as Kulan slowly watch his movements. Kulan drew in the Dark Side of the force as he felt the pain of the wound he was just given, using that pain to fuel him as he drew upon the Dark Side of the force, using it to keep him standing for the moment. In fact the Dark Side of the force was the only thing keeping his body together at the moment as he was already beginning to feel the strain to breath and move from the wounds that he had just recieved.

The two Shadow Guards still had energy in them as they moved towards the vehicle, dropping and rolling as the two purifiers fired at them, only to return fire, the next round of burst tearing into the purifier that was hit in the hip, cutting him to pieces as the wounded Shadow Guard took another stun blast to the shoulder, effectively making his right arm useless until it was looked at. The second Shadow Guard pushed him down before he rolled into the grass, taking cover against the ground before sitting up and firing another volley against the purifiers. Kulan took a quick glance at the shuttle as it moved towards the other two Shadow Guards, slowly coming to hover high enough over them as the unwounded stood up and grabbed the other, throwing him into the ramp before he jumped onto it, pulling the wounded man to safety inside and towards the medical droid within. The Theta class shuttle continued to hover over the scene now, before it moved closer towards Kulan. The unwounded Shadow Guard jumped from the shuttle, grabbing Kulan before pulling him up and throwing him onto the shuttle. He would land on the ramp with a heavy thud as a crew member dragged him into the back, putting him to the medical droid immediately as the unwounded Shadow Guard jumped back up into the shuttle, leaving the Inquisitor and his men victorious for the moment.

Illiandra had found herself quite content with just watching, though she struggled with the urge to rip one or all of the Shadow Guards hearts straight from their chests; still beating. She had started to protest when Deschain stepped between them and gently pushed her back out of harms way, but thought better of it and did as he asked.

The burning house hardly bothered her as the purifiers led her through it, though she stopped when they reached the blood slicked floors. One of the red-armored men turned back, waiting to see if she was coming, and when she didn't move he stalked back an swept her off of her feet and out the door before he sat her back down.

Fenrir barreled onto the transport and found himself a seat, in which Illiandra sat next to him. He curled up, but kept all four eyes on the purifiers as his mistress pet him gently. "I liked that house. Quite a bit. Such a shame."

Deschain turned his back, a sign of contempt, as the badly wounded Master Shadow Guard fled with his companions. Deschain would be quite clear in making a report to the Grand Vizier about what occurred. With the shuttle departed, Deschain moved towards the transport, looking for the ranking officer. "Captain Timmons... see to it that all bodies are recovered. Their names are to be interred on the Memorial of the Fallen. You have done well, Captain." The Purifier saluted and ran off, gathering his men while Deschain mounted the transport.

"And so it ends," he remarked casually as the transport moved towards the spaceport. "One further obstacle down."

Illiandra watched the Inquisitor impassively as he boarded the transport and they set off for the spaceport. "He isn't dead, so it is hardly an obstacle down, is it?" She said before she turned her gaze to the nexu who had its head in her lap. He was purring lightly, but would growl every so often if someone would so much as shift his weight anywhere near her.

"Why did he want me so badly? I didn't like him at all." Illiandra murmured before she finally looked to him again. "Where are we going?"

"Sometimes, death is less permanent than you'd think. It is quite possible that fool will not survive the wound he took. Nonetheless, he will never be able to look the Emperor in the eye again, or any Inquisitor he comes across, for the reminder of his failure will always be fresh in his mind, taunting him for what he could not hope to do: defeat me in combat." Deschain sounded satisfied as he spoke to her; not smug, but merely content.

"As to why he wanted you? I cannot say. I rarely meddle in the affairs of the Shadow Guard, for they are such far lesser beings. You and I, though... we are going to Prakith."

It would become increasingly obvious to Deschain that the woman had no feelings one way or another whether the shadow guard was going to die or not. For a brief moment, she had the desire to kill him herself, of course, for no reason other than the desire to do so. It would also be obvious that she showed no remorse for the purifiers that she murdered. Had he cared, she might have apologized for it, but in the heat of the moment she was just defending herself from a threat.

"What is Prakith? Are there flowers there?" She would ask as her gaze found its way out the window. "Daisies. I like daisies." A sigh escaped her before she finally looked to the High Inquisitor again. "Fenrir likes to lay in daisies. And then eat them. And then eat the nearest passerby."

"Prakith is a world within the Deep Core. It is mountainous with plateaus. There are several cities, but I do not believe there is much in the way of flowers. It is not the most pleasant of worlds, Illiandra, and I do not expect we will be there for terribly long. However... while we are there, I expect you will keep Fenrir under control. The place we are going is not likely to appreciate people being eaten. Nonetheless, once we are done there, I'm rather confident that you will be able to go to a world where he can eat people. Certain allowances are made for special people like you, Illiandra."

She suddenly became very serious and let her gaze rest right on the inquisitor. "The only way that Fenrir would not be controlled, was if I was unable to." Which indicated that she used her force powers to tame the alien beast. If she were incapacitated, however, that hold would break and he would be wild again. It was odd though, she did not have to keep much of a hold on him when it was just the pair of them, and sometimes not at all. They had grown comfortable with each other since she had rescued the dying orphan. Her pity for the tiny, pathetic creature had been a rare moment of weakness. Usually her weaknesses turned into uncontrollable rage in which people died and she ruined yet another dress.

"I need a new dress. Can we get one on Prakith?" She asked, indicating to the crimson stains down her right side. One thing he would notice was that she could likely blend well into society, better than others at least. She was quite lovely with her golden blond hair, cobalt blue eyes, and pale milky skin. It was a useful trait, she had found, as long as she didn't speak to anyone and let her secret slip.

"I don't see why you can't be outfitted with new clothing on Prakith. Something suitably darker, and perhaps more form fitting. You're going to need it." Deschain settled back against his seat while the transport bumped its way towards the spaceport. When it stopped, the hatch swung open, allowing daylight in. "We have quite a journey before us. Perhaps before all is said and done, you may be able to meet His Imperial Majesty."

Immediately, Fenrir would jump up and make a break for the door, claws and tail flailing wildly as he bounded out into the light. Illiandra would follow him before she looked to the faceless inquisitor again. "You don't like blue?" She questioned. It was perhaps a bit light for her, but she likes what she liked. Dark and form fitting were not on the list. She would stand there and watch Fenrir chase one of the launch bay workers and she actually smiled. That was, until Fenrir was about to pounce and the worker was struggling to get ahold of his stun fun on his belt.

"Fenrir!" Illiandra snapped before she narrowed her eyes and stalked that direction. The nexu skidded to a stop, leaving claw marks in the permacrete as he did. He would sulk over to her with his head hanging before she dropped down to her knees to pet him. "We're going on a trip, Fenrir. You mustn't eat people, my love." She looked up and noticed that the worker still had his hand on the weapon and she tilted her head some. No, she shouldn't. He likely wouldn't like it if she did to the poor man what she was considering. And for the moment, she didn't want the Inquisitor upset with her. There would be time for that later.

"Your pet can't be doing that where we are going," Deschain cautioned her. "The people there are less forgiving by far than I am." Up ahead, the Sentinel-class landing craft Dark Spirit awaited them with the ramp lowered. "Please, board the shuttle. We'll be traveling alone. There will be plenty of time to talk on the journey." Deschain swept on ahead, confident the woman would follow. "I'm sure we can find a dress of suitable color for you. You'll never make a true Inquisitor, as it stands... but perhaps... perhaps there is a place for you after all. Indeed... the consort of a prince."

She would follow him after several long moments. Fenrir was at her side, purring like it would kill him not to. "He did not hurt him." She said firmly. "He knows better. Mummy will find you something lovely to eat soon enough, kitten." she told the beast as he curled up into a seat on the shuttle. Illiandra would settle herself as well and then finally spare a look to Deschain.

"What do you mean by that?" She asked curiously.

Deschain had moved to the cockpit of the landing craft, engaging the repulsors and then the engines. "I mean to say that I may turn you into a deep-cover operative. You will become a member of the Inquisitorious and assist me in what I do. You presented me with the gift of a lightsaber; you have killed a Jedi. That is what we do. We track down Jedi and kill them, or turn them."

"You may....." She murmured as she followed the cloaked figure. He was intriguing and seemed the type to not try and stop her from doing what she enjoyed. "Jedi whine too much when you play with them and then they stop moving." she murmured before she sat.

"Why do you wear this?" Illiandra finally asked as she reached out and touches the mask briefly with her fingertips before she withdrew. "Who is under there?"

Instead of feeling fabric, she would only feel the cloth side of his hood as he twisted his head. The mask itself was holographic, after all, and not actual protection. Miniaturized projectors situated within the hood served for that much. "I wear it because I enjoy my anonymity as a High Inquisitor of the Empire," he said rather sharply. "It is not the need of the enemies of the Empire to know who brings them to justice. I am not like the Inquisitors who wear their faces openly and toady themselves about in the Imperial Court. Fools and lackeys there. Inefficient wastes of time and Force.

"The person under here is Rath Deschain. It is who I have been for a very long time and it is the person I will be until the day I die. There is no need for any other name."
