The assault by TuRot was blessedly brief, though Ilanah greeted him respectfully and politely before he rushed off to the next person. Then, she turned her attention to Ryuun.

"I am fine. Well enough as it is. Kal has been trying to help me remember although I feel he is frustrated by it. The Chandrilan Council has not lost faith in my ability to do my job, so that is a comfort at least." She smiled some as she watched him attentively. "And my son was born health and perfect, if not a couple weeks early." Ilanah indicated to the peacefully sleeping infant in the pram next to her seat. "Would you care to hold him?" It would not offend her if he refused.

Her gaze went past Lomen briefly as she noticed Ana greeting people and holding tightly to her new husbands hand. It was sweet, really. As her gaze went back to the man, she gave him another smile. "What about you?"

Ana smiled politely and when she and Alyn had a brief respite from greeting, she glanced up at him. "I didn't see Artemis, did you?" She asked quietly. It was not concern, but there were so many people that she just hadn't noticed. Mrs. Miteya had made sure she had some sort of sparkling fruit juice for toasts, which was wonderful because she was quite parched. She took a small sip of the liquid before she squeezed his hand again and then let it go so she could go and speak to Ilanah and the gentleman she was with. Certainly Alyn had people he wanted to speak to and she was interested to see the senators new baby.

As she walked over, she smiled and thanked people (people she didn't know) for coming and told them that she hoped they enjoyed themselves.

Exar would bow and proceed away towards the other group of Senators. The Senator from Slussi would be the first to receive a friendly greeting from the Senator of Dantooine. "Senator Domon, a pleasure to see you here. How are things?"

As the toast was given, Draken Tu'Rot would be sure that his voice was heard. "TO THE STARKS!!!!!!!" He'd shoot the man a glance before rushing up to Alyn himself, and not only thrusting the remote control in his hand, but also death gripping his hand, also shaking it violently. "ALYN!, MY GOOD FRIEND!!!" Tu'Rot would give a very hearty laugh before he let go. "If you'll come with my my friend, I'll show you what this goes to!!!" As this point, he'd attempt to tug Stark towards the landing pad where the gift waited.

"No, no I did not see Representative. I was hoping he'd make it though." Stark's words back to her were equally low. While his intent was to remain by her side, it seemed such was not to be, for it was only a moment or two after she walked off that Tu'Rot shot up and assaulted him. Refraining from giving a slight wince at the death-grip on his hand, Stark instead smiled widely at Tu'Rot, accepting the remote control.

"Of course Draken, of course! I shall follow you right away." And with that, Stark would likely be led off to wherever the gift was, Mako following some distance behind and attempting to be rather unobtrusive.

"Senator Ray, it is quite nice to see you here," Domon stated as he offered his hand to Ray in greeting. "I must say it has been rather pleasant at this affair so far. Or are you referring to events in general within the Senate?"

Ryuun looked at the sleeping child and held his hands up before him, almost as if to ward off a blow. "I'm as fond of small children as anyone, Ilanah, but I fear I'd be far, far too clumsy. I'd not want to wake him up or, galaxy forbid, drop him. No, no. But I am quite sure he is a lovely little boy who will grow up to be a great strapping man." Ryuun chuckled slightly and looked back to Ilanah. "As for me? Oh, fighting the good fight in the Doldur Sector. Keeping crime out of Druckenwell as best I can and all."

She waved her hand briefly, as if it hardly bothered her. Children were not for everyone and she completely understood that. "No no....I completely understand. You should have seen Kal the first time he held him. I never once thought that someone like him could look so terrified." Of course, Ryuun didn't know who Kal was, or what he did for a living.

"Promise me that you will come to Chandrila some time soon, Lomen. You simply have to." She gave him a smile briefly before she was interrupted by a voice to her near left.

"Senators, I am so glad you both came." Ana said to both Senator Ryuun and Thanatos, as she tried to gently interrupt their conversation. "I'm so sorry to interrupt, but I really wanted to....well..." She smiled sheepishly and looked to Ilanah, whom she had met once or twice.

Ana would let the two of them back to her talk once Ilanah gave her permission to see Caden. Having a child was not something she thought that she would do in her life, as she thought she would always be with Artemis and never marry. But she was now, and married also, so it was on her mind a lot more.

She picked the sleeping baby up and cradled him carefully, unconcerned about much else at the moment, though she did notice Alyn and Tu'Rot slip out the side door moments later.

Tu'Rot would run back towards his shuttle with Stark in his grip. As they would appear in front of the shuttle, Tu'Rot's men would move to the side to expose the Proton Bomb that had been strapped to a cart. Stopping, Tu'Rot would release Stark and simply stand there and smile. "A gift from me to you!" Slapping Stark's arm, Draken would motion for Stark to hit the button. "Go ahead, hit the button!"

"Both rather, my good friend." Exar would say to Toben, nodding some. Watching Tu'Rot running out with Stark, Exar couldn't help but smirk. "Call me crazy, but I can understand why that man is single... acting like that, I'm surprised the people of Acherin have not yet impeached him." He'd look directly as Toben again. "But how are things with you, my friend? Sluis Van must be busy with activity." Exar would pick up a drink and sip it.

Stark actually froze for a moment, taken more than aback for one of the few times in his life. A proton bomb? Was the man mad? No, no. He couldn't be quite so insane as to bring a live proton bomb into Stark's home, especially with so many people around. Acutely aware of the remote in his hand, Stark turned to Tu'Rot. "Governor... tell me that isn't a live warhead sitting in my hanger at this moment. Stark could feel more than see Tarin Mako behind them and devoutly hoped the Mandalorian wasn't about to do anything rash.

For his own part though, Mako had still remained some ten feet behind the pair. Seeing the weapon and recognizing what it was from the outer case, the Mandalorian did nothing except cross his arms. Although an unobtrusive movement, it served to bring his right hand closer to the grip of his DL-22 which hung from a shoulder holster.

His business had been taken care of, and just like he had promised Lana, he was coming to the wedding. Even if it meant that he was several hours late, and totally missed the actual wedding. Walking through the doors, Kal would reach up, buttoning the top button of his shirt and tightening up the tie to his neck. He figured that he might as well try to look like he hadn't been in a rush and gotten changed as soon as he landed.

His eyes scanned the room, trying to find his wife and son. As he saw her, he focused on her and made his way over to them. It seemed that the bride was now holding their child and Lana was in conversation with a man that he assumed to be a fellow Senator. There wouldn't be any other reason why she'd be deep into their conversation to even notice that he had stepped up behind them.

Artemis both felt and looked distinctly out of place at this reception, which was anything but "stark." Clothed in his usual, earthy tones, he stood out against the gleaming white of the reception room, only the handful of white hairs in his beard seeming to match. There was no court on Naboo as extravagant as this, he decided. But he saw, from afar, the enchanted look on Ana's face. This must have been, for her, a dream come true, though he couldn't escape the feeling that it was a dream come true, if not necessarily hers. She was in love, to be sure. And perhaps these past months had made he and Ana more distant from one another than simply the distance from Naboo to Lorrd, but this sort of extravagance didn't seem to match the young woman he'd always known to be so charmingly modest.

Then again, he'd never known her to be political either, yet no sooner had she landed on Lorrd had she involved herself in the planet's politics. Artemis frowned, wondering if he'd somehow repressed Ana's ambitions over the years. Ever his own harshest critic, with the possible exception of the Senator of Brentaal, Artemis oft assigned blame to himself. But this was a time for celebration, not blame. Artemis was glad to see, from afar on Naboo and, presently, from his corner of the reception room, the mature young woman Ana had become.

He maintained a low profile for much of the evening. Ana was preoccupied with her other guests and a part of Artemis felt he had no right to disturb her. His gift of a vintage bottle of blossom wine and a traditional domestic gown, both reminders of home, would likely be opened after he'd excused himself early and departed for Imperial Center, where his presence could soon be required if a custody dispute over a Gungan rebel on Naboo became a political crisis.

Domon spotted Artemis Vanden, looking slightly out of place by the expression upon his countenance, but the Sluissi Senator was currently held by conversation with Exar Ray as the pair watched the Governor of Acherin walk out with Stark in tow. "Draken Tu'Rot is indeed odd, even for you Humans," Domon stated as he shook his head at the odd Governor.

"Sluis Van is as busy as it can be, I suppose," Domon agreed. "Despite some of the unpleasantness over the past year, contracts are still flowing and the Khedive still manages to keep the sector in line. With everything that happened at the Mon Calamari Shipyards, Sluis Van is more than eager to prove that we are loyal servants of the Empire. A rebellion is the last thing we'd need on our hands."
