Deschain knew that the Mandalorian was armed with a warhead; it had been obvious from the way it stuck up above the man's jetpack. The problem, of course, was that unless the man had a backup rocket stuffed down his pants somewhere, which seemed unlikely, he only had one shot, and the High Inquisitor wanted him to waste his heavy ordnance as soon as possible. This was the reason that, as he approached the last bend, he returned one of the lightsabers, that in his left hand, to the holder up his sleeve, leaving that hand free.

With the dark side raging through him, he rounded the that final corner and was greeted by a barrage of sound and motion: the missile, springing forth from the Mandalorian's jetpack, as well as a pair of blaster bolts headed low his way. Contemptuously swatting the bolts aside with the tip of his saber weaving a pendulum-like defense to splatter them harmlessly into the rock, Deschain became aware of the warhead's true target as it impacted the rocks high above his head. Throwing himself backwards to escape the first shower of stones, Deschain continued the roll, coming to his feet behind the safety of the corner as the passageway soon filled with thick clouds of dust and debris as a rather large section of the cave roof fell in, dislodged by the blast and doing a good job of blocking the passageway.

It wasn't impenetrable by any means, but it would make crossing to get to the Mandalorian rather annoying. "This is very childish!" Deschain called once the sound of the minor cave-in had faded. "Why don't you just go away while you still can? I don't know your name, Mandalorian, and be glad for that. Obviously you're connected to those dead fools on Imperial Center. Let it go. Be a bounty hunter and live out your life serving the greater glory of the Empire!" Deschain didn't expect the man to take his advice, and if he did, Deschain would have been a bit disappointed. When it all came down to it, the High Inquisitor was having fun.

The Mandalorian would let the sound of a loud scoff escaping his mouth, with a soft chuckle following by. "We do not hide our name among enemies. I am Anubis Xerxes!" The vengeful man intentionally wanted Deschain to know who he was fighting against. "The fools you were referring to were a bunch of children and a Jedi without much training. There's no honor in that!" If it was Mandalorian teenagers Deschain was slaughtering, that'd be different. in this instance, it obviously was not.

"There is no honor and glory in bounty hunting. What better glory and honor there would be for me than to take down a top soldier in the Empire? It'll send hope for my people!" Anubis was defiant, as any Mandalorian warrior would have done in this circumstance. He would raise his pistols to be pointed at the newly-formed wall in front of him, aware that anything can happen with the Force. "I won't be a kath hound of the Emperor!" Just in case, he would use the jetpack to distance himself if necessary. Anubis wasnt going to leave without a fight.

Despite the nature of the fun at hand, Deschain did have other matters to attend to. Now that he had the Mandalorian's name, he wouldn't need to worry much, as he could easily add the man to the Most Wanted list of the Empire. That way, the bounty hunter would be much less able to move freely and leave Deschain himself to better duties. "Well Anubis Xerses, dead is dead. I don't seek glory by killing Jedi. I do the Emperor's will. Now, my Mandalorian friend, I bid you good day."

Turning on his heel, Deschain strode back down the passageway. When he was out of earshot, he pulled his comlink out and called to his security detail. "Prepare to pack up. We'll be leaving soon. Send the transport to retrieve me."

When he heard the Inquisitor walk away, he wanted to pursue the guy. However, the cave-in had made it difficult. The Mandalorian would have to fight Deschain another day. Anubis had let out a loud grunt of frustration. The Inquisitor clearly had no regard of living beings in this galaxy. Now that Deschain knew his name, he suspected another showdown sometime in the future. The Empire would be out looking for him.

He would move with the jetpack, bit by bit until he had reached his Pursuer. Soon thereafter, the engines were all primed and ready to go. It wasn't long before the Pursuer had disappeared into hyperspace. Guess where he was going? Anubis is returning to the Mandalorian Space for the first time in a long while. It was time for him to help his own people drive the Empire out of Mandalore Sector.
