| Dropping from hyperspace the small vessel could be called an oddity, and a rarity from it's looks. The simple unassuming limpet ship slowly drifted at the edge of the Kol Huro system. It's scanners reaching out across the system to pick up any other ships that may be near it, or better yet, near it's target, one of the worlds of the system. At this moment however it merely remained in station, the only systems online being the life-support, scanners, and minor systems needed to keep the vessel on a controlled drift. If anyone didnt take a hard second look, it would just appear to be a piece of stellar debris at the edge of the system and out of any shipping lanes or lanes of traffic for that matter.
Shala however sat quietly in her seat which was set up to allow her full view of the stations laid out before her. The other five members of her team sat quietly at their stations keeping track of their own specific systems as Shala quietly contemplated her next move. Their cargo hold was empty, and she knew of a few Outer Rim scrap dealers that wouldn't ask any questions at all. They were the type to just hand her the credits and happily go on their way with what ever metal she brought them. The Kol Huro system was one that was filled with metal. It wasn't the untouched resources though that they were after, it was the metal already in use on the many factories that covered the planets in the system.
As she mused she lightly tapped her fingers against the arm rest of the chair as she leaned back. Resting her chin on her closed fist as she looked out at the empty space before them as her ship continued to drift. "Anything yet on the scanners or sensors" A quiet whisper of a voice crossed her lips as she looked to her crew while waiting for the readouts of what was in the system beyond the planets.

| The Kol Huro System was an Imperial-protected resource of the Kanz Sector, at least in the eyes of Moff Shirnoq, who'd dedicated vessels to protect it as such. At the moment, no less than four EF76 Nebulon-B frigates and a pair of Carrack cruisers patrolled the system in slow patterns, but for the time, Shala's vessel would go unnoticed by any vessel flying the Imperial cog, so to speak.

| When it came to 'untouched resources,' the Kol Huro System was far from the wealthiest system in such matters. If anything, it was a system largely dependent upon the delivery of other items to the system so that it might function, evidenced in part by the large number of bulk freighters, bulk cruisers, container transports and other assorted vessels clustered around a number of the planets, specifically those that acted as shipyards within the system, where a home-grown defense force was being built in addition to the Imperial protection.
With Shala's comment of asking if anything were on the sensors, she might well receive a rude surprise as behind her slowly drifting ship, a C-3 passenger liner would emerge almost atop them and quite close enough to provide something of a scare. Moving rather slowly though, the liner would cruise deeper into the Kol Huro System. Transponder designation would identify the ship as the Viridian Sky, the known war-yacht of one Alyn Stark, who did happen to be aboard. Unfortunately, there was a brief comms issue, which left the ship able to send text-based messages for the time but no voice, which was what Stark was there personally to correct.
Ahead, in the pair of distant shipyards, there was a number of works being undertaken, visible to the naked eye when one came close enough. An Acclamator II was undergoing repairs, and a pair of Gozanti cruisers were finishing up modification. At the smaller shipyard at Kol Huro II, the keel of an Avarice-class frigate was currently under production.

| While the C-3 Passenger Liner dropping out of hyperspace right on top of them provided a small bit of shock and surprise for the moment, those thoughts and feelings were gone just as quickly. Now, rather than having to brave the dangers of the system for some "scrap" metal, they had a ready supply that just so happened to drop in front of them. A small smirk crossed her lips as she nodded to the crew before the Limpet ship came alive. It jerked for a quick moment as its engines powered up and pushed it towards the C-3 Passenger Liner. Without very much warning the large and powerful landing pads smashed against the metal hull. The grabbers used to hold it in place on planets deployed as they tore into the hull, beginning to vent the atmosphere in the areas that it tore open. The thick grabbers even cutting through corridor access to the area, helping to limit the way into the area that the Limpet ship now occupied on the outside of the C-3 passenger liner.
Shala nodded once more as the ship lowered itself into a sturdy stance. The plasma beam cutters originally used to cut into the crust of a planet began to cut into the metal of the hull. The beams tearing through a couple of decks, melting and fusing the metal left behind into twisted statues. Further blocking access to the sections as the plasma beam cutters tore through and melted the metal hull and internal works of the vessel. By now the C-3 passenger liner had a gaping hole in its underbelly, the metal that had been cut free was now cut into smaller manageable pieces.
The cargo hold of the Limpet ship had been sealed off, leaving it devoid of atmosphere as they used the venting pressure from the C-3 passenger liner to force the "scrap" metal into their hold. Shala however knew now that they needed to be careful, their actions were more than likely already reported, and at that moment she ordered the hyperdrive to be powered up, getting her ship ready for a speedy get away. The weapons of the Limpet ship were also powered up and ready, the Ion Cannon was already locked onto the C-3 passenger liner, and only an order was needed to be given for it to fire. For the moment though, it was held, they were not done with the C-3 passenger liner just yet.

| The YM-2800 was not the smallest of ships, though it was smaller than the Viridian Sky. It was not so small, however, as to be able to avoid complete notice as one would think, especially when latching onto the hull of the larger vessel; that alone set off alarms in the bridge. Fortunately, the attacking craft had cut into one of the currently-unused cargo holds within the belly, rendering no loss of life as the war-yacht was being run on a skeleton crew of sorts for this mission. Providing that the hole mentioned was small enough, for after all, it took more time to cut pieces of a ship free rather than actually cut into a ship (as the Rebel Alliance utilized the vessel for).
By the time though that a decent amount of hull-plating had been cut free, the alarms and venting atmosphere had long-since been noted. Inside, on the bridge, Stark himself was looking over the readout of the damage to his ship. It was obvious something was attacking them; it was just a question of what. Sensors were having trouble locking on the specific type of craft there, but determining the type was not his direct concern at the moment. More curious was the fact that nobody was actually boarding his undermanned vessel, which was indeed the strange part. Stark would have figured on Auril Sector guerrillas or the like, but this was apparently not the case.
If anything, he would have visual momentarily, so to speak, as the Flame of War, Tarin Mako's modified AIAT/i and the Final Breath. Larna Mosset's modified Pursuer emerged gently from the hangar by the time the first true cuts were made, and re-oriented to bring them around the underside of the ship, which was not too far away. In under a minute, they'd have a visual on the damaged area.

| While it would take more time to cut pieces of a ship free, the plasma beam cutters were more than powerful enough to cut a reasonable piece (say the outermost hull and the interior wall against the outermost hull, and half the size of the diameter of the underside of the limpet ship) out of the C-3 passenger liner. The blow-back from the venting atmosphere, which had yet to be shut off (as previous posts mention being aware of the venting, but no action taken to cut off the area.) helped push the sizable piece from the ship, including beginning to suck more air out of the ship at a reasonable rate. To further facilitate their actions the large landing pads where pulled up, however, they still held a reasonable amount of pressure on the hull, meaning that as they pulled up, they would tear the outer most hull of the ship free, further damaging the vessel as the landing pads tore free. The set of them being curled in towards the cargo bay doors to push the metal of the hull into the cargo bay before the doors shut close, preventing access to the interior of the Limpet ship.
Now with the C-3 passenger liner's interior exposed to space, the Heavy laser cannons of the vessel took aim at the exposed insides. The C-3 passenger liner (which either lacks shields, or as seen above, no shields having been activated yet) surely wouldn't be able to withstand what was to come. Shala nodded as the heavy laser cannons let off a successive series of blaster. The laser bolts tearing into the interior of the ship and surely causing explosions which would travel through the interior of the vessel. Another nod from Shala brought the Ion Cannon online which took aim at the unshielded engines of the vessel before it let off a quick round of three burst, each striking their target.
With their actions, more than likely having been noticed by now the engines where fired up, pushing the Limpet ship away from the C-3 passenger liner and into a clear line from it. The weapons anticipating other vessels coming to aid, or already near enough to take aim. The hyperdrive though was just finishing powering up, ready to jump as soon as it was possible as the sublight engines of the Limpet Ship pushed it further away from the C-3 passenger liner, which was now disabled and sitting dead in the water.

| The Viridian Sky was indeed equipped with shields; there had been simply no point in raising them with an attacker already on the hull. As well, with an attacker in such an area, Stark fully expected an internal assault. He was not disappointed when the heavy blasts came, tearing gouges deep within the bowels of the war-yacht. Looking over the readouts, Stark glanced at the sensor operator nearby. "Seal off all damaged midsections and raise shields." A second, heavier flickering of lights came now as the tech called out, "Ion strikes! Four engines offline."
"Well then logically, the thing to do would be to engage the remaining two, wouldn't it be?" Stark's response was curt and short. It was quite possible that Shala overestimated what her starfighter-grade weaponry would do to an over-four-hundred meter yacht that had already been re-worked to a point. Despite the damage and the venting atmosphere, the latter of which had been halted, the Viridian Sky, even at reduced capacity and reduced shields (from interior damage and having four engines offline) was capable of a fight. Of course, it was all a moot point. Even as Stark departed the bridge at a light jog, intending to get to the docking port where the Infinite Thought was located, the Flame of War and the Final Breath came into visual of the YM-2800 just as it detached from the liner and right before it engaged its engines.
It was here that personal differences between the Shadowguard came into light. Both Larna and Tarin acted simultaneously, though their actions were greatly different. Larna, over the open comms channel, called out "Stand down! Stand down and prepare to be boarded!" She actually gave it a full three seconds before opening fire with her ship's ion cannon, which packed an additional punch due to the vessel having higher-output generators. Tarin Mako, on the other hand, had been less nice. While killing the attackers would have been just fine by him, capturing was Stark's normal order of business. Therefore, when Larna was hailing, Tarin simply opened fire with both his forward-firing quad laser cannon turrets, aiming at key systems such as engines and powerplants, with sweeping regard to the grabber legs and hull afterwards.
It should be noted of course, that the YM-2800 limpet ship only came standard with particle shields and not ray shields, which left them open to all the incoming fire in its entirety. With the smaller size of the YM-2800 coupled with its slow pull-back speed in trying to get free of the liner (whose shields were now up), as well as the sheer volume of fire against the covert-type craft, their options would be few more than likely, especially with an ion cannon firing into the center-mass of their vessel. Surrender and throwing themselves on the mercy of the merchant of death may well be the best option.

| Shala was smart enough to know that her own ship was not equipped to handle a full strike from weapons, only being equipped with shielding to protect the vessel from impact strikes. The crew was also smart enough to know the limit of their own vessel. With a quick flick of a switch, the large landing pads came up, their claws releasing the bits of hull they had managed to tear off before the shields came up. The gravity less environment of space and the throwing motion of the landing pads opened the hull pieces into a small cloud of debris, which the ion cannons and laser cannons would strike again. The Limpet ship though wouldn't go fully unscathed, as one ion burst hit one landing pad, shutting it down effectively and still clutching to it's hold of hull. The laser blast that followed struck a second landing pad, damaging it before the remain burst hit against the now released debris.
It was at that moment that the final order was given. The hyperdrive spun up before the ship lurched forward and jumped from its position. Sadly though, the ion blast had done more damage than thought. Their navigation computer was shut down. With their jump computer fried, it spit them hurdling through space with an unclear way to track their movement or their final destination as their vessel was thrown into the Outer Rim.

| From 'releasing bits of hull' to 'actively throwing bits of hull' by method of simple release from the claws would not likely protect as much as was considered, especially with the array of quad laser cannons aimed against them. The YM-2800 might well escape to hyperspace with minimal damage as one considered it, but the heavier cannons of the quad lasers, especially considering their own upgraded firepower from the additional generators within the Flame of War meant that the strikes against the opposing vessel were sure to be more damaging than simple scrapes or simple damage of a landing pad. These were quad laser cannons after all, and heavily upgraded ones at that in terms of power.
Nonetheless, with the YM-2800 gone in its damaged form, off to wherever it may go, the Viridian Sky simply called in the attack and began to slowly maneuver in-system where it might undergo repairs. Stark himself congratulated the pair of his Shadowguard on a job well done and, for the time being, would transfer his personal command to the PLY 5000 Gentle Breeze, which was still an efficient ship to go bounty hunting with. Chalking it up to minor pirate attempts within the Kol Huro System, security patrols were intended to be increased, thereby securing and safeguarding the system against infiltration and threats within the future.
