As the Veragi Trade Route crossed through the Kanz Sector, intersecting a number of planets including Argazda and Bimmiel, it was an easy manner to hop on it, so to speak. The convoy itself consisted of a single Breaker-class modular cruiser at the fore, painted with the GalacticAid symbol, with a quartet of black-and-gray colored BFF-1 bulk freighters in the middle, marked as property of the SDC and followed by another GalacticAid Breaker-class cruiser.

This small convoy had made its way along the hyperlanes, along into the Veragi Sector, whereupon they had to disengage and come out along the sector set aside for subspace travel, moving along to where they would make their jump into the Gree Enclave.

The vessels however would not be making it to the Gree Enclave. The moment that they were recorded as leaving the Veragi Trade route and making for a jump to the Gree Enclave they were prevented from taking their course. Dropping from Hyperspace in front of them was a Giga class transport carrier variant. The vessel was escorted by two gozanti cruisers, all with their shields and weapons up. The Giga class alone had already launched two fighter squadrons of Z-95 headhunters with another two squadrons on standby. The vessels however were only flying an intercept course as the captain of the Giga class opened a channel to the lead vessel.

"SDCSC vessels, stop your journey now. The world of Kogan was put under a quarantine today when an unknown pathogen was discovered. The Dominion Federation Council has since issued an order that no vessels are to enter the Gree Enclave or leave unless they are broadcasting Imperial Naval or Imperial Diplomatic IFFs. If you continue on your course to the Gree Enclave you will be apprehended. If you use force to continue, then force will be used against you and those apprehended afterwards shall be tried as terrorist attempting to gain access to a biological weapon to disperse throughout the galaxy. The border to the Gree Enclave is shut down until a further order has been issued saying other wise."

The message would begin to play on a loop until it was responded to. With the three vessels and their fighter squadrons on standby. The two remaining squadrons were launched as well, though they were kept closer to the Giga class transport.

If a channel was opened to the lead vessel, as noted, the captain of the Giga-class would be hailing a GalacticAid vessel, as was noted to be in the lead. Of course, on having potentially hostile ships drop from hyperspace before them, standard procedure was, for GalacticAid, to record all conversations that were broadcast in the event an emergency occurred so that the Imperial authorities could make heads or tails of the incident.

With their hyperdrives deactivated as soon as the obstruction came up, the captain of the lead vessel broadcasted back, "Veragi Federation ship, this is Captain Jones of the GalacticAid vessel Mission of Mercy. I've sent a notification to the BFF-1 freighters with us that entry into the Gree Enclave is denied at this time and as such, they are departing along the trade route." True to the captain's words, the slow freighters were maneuvering in preparation for further movement along the Veragi Trade Route, which of course would take them out of the Veragi Sector.

Captain Jones, however, continued to broadcast, all the while ensuring that his vessel and its sister vessel, the Mission of Peace, remained on the trade route. "At this time, I will attempt to contact the local Imperial authorities within the Gree Enclave, my superiors in the GalacticAid office on Imperial Center and if need be, draft a message to a number of other Imperial offices within the Empire. I announce that my intent is to gain a writ of passage to the Gree Enclave. Both of my vessels are humanitarian vessels and as set forth in the GalacticAid mission statement, 'To provide humanitarian aid to the worlds and peoples in distress, with an intent to make relief available all across the galaxy.'

"Furthermore," Jones continued in a slightly patronizing and lecturing tone, "There is a law against biological weapons the last time most of us heard. I don't think any man on this ship wants to loose his freedom, much less his life, trying to steal a supposed biological weapon. However, we shall wait until full contact has been made to either turn away or, with Imperial permission, press forwards."
