| Ravaath, in the Pacanth Reach, was about as far as one could go, short of the Trilon Sector, into an area where the Empire had no real source of input. It was here that Alastasia Veranna, the woman formerly known as Cassia Darcy, would be living her new life. Sometimes, as certain beings in the galaxy could attest to, it was better to turn an unwilling enemy into a willing ally by whatever means necessary.
In this case, Cassia had undergone a memory wipe, or a Renewal, depending on whom one was talking to. Unlike some wipes that were sloppy and half-done, though, the professionals at Citadel had done an expert job of cleansing, to the best of their abilities, before handing the one-time captive and one-time Separatist off to Blackfire to turn into a useful agent. A back-story had been developed for 'Alastasia Veranna,' in which she was born of Naboo parentage but birthed on a transport ship; her mother run off and her father rarely at home. Having never been birth-registered on Naboo and with a failure as a father, she married young to a certain young Corellian by the name of Kemsin Veranna. After replacing her surname of Mesara with his last name, the pair settled down on Ravaath to run a moderately successful import-export business that dealt in wines and farm implements as well as other useful items.
What 'Alastasia' didn't know, though, was that Kemsin Veranna, the handsome, dark-haired, muscled man of her dreams, was in reality Ninety-eight, an agent of Blackfire sent to keep watch over her, and a goodly half-dozen of her closest friends were equally agents who dropped in from time to time. In this manner, far removed from the eyes of any of her former Separatist friends or the Empire did Stark manage to turn his enemy into a profit-making tool for his own criminal empire.
