| It's been a goodly minute since I requested something that would directly benefit Shiva and his cause. The last two, I believe, were, respectively, for a flagship for the Red Mynocks and prior to that, a link with varied pirate groups that Shiva has yet to utilize or exploit. This particular request stems from an idea based off of Jace's thoughts regarding the use of the Colicoid Creation Nest to produce droids, etc, and involves a bit of back explanation.
Shiva, being the intelligent, underhanded and crafty chap we've all come to know and love would not be likely to put all his eggs in one basket. I would propose as part of the request that he'd gone out of his way during the Clone Wars to make some friends among the CCN and the Geonosian droid-makers; enough to the point that when things seemed to be going sour for the Confederacy, he was able to spirit away a decent number of the bright minds from both species, albeit without letting each know of the other. Both of these groups would have been secretly placed upon planets they were unlikely to be found upon, yet where Shiva might be able to draw upon their knowledge, as well as funnel them materials to recreate, at least in part, workable droid foundries with which he could resupply in exchange for protecting them. The Geonosians would be located ideally to Kuras I, where the Kuras Drift would act as a natural protection. The Colicoid group would be relocated to Meris V, an unexplored planet which would keep them remote as well. Shiva's numerous exports and profits would then in turn, go in part back to these two groups to offer defenses and the means to expand their fledgling foundries.

| I don't have a problem with Shiva spiriting away some Separatist engineers, but not Geonosians or Colicoids. The recent information that's come to light about the Colicoids, and the fact that they're a hive culture not dissimilar to the Geonosians (who are stated to be submissive to the Empire and, later, fiercely isolationist) have dissuaded me from the idea I had about some Colicoid engineers operating outside of Colla IV. But as I said, I wouldn't mind engineers of other species coming into play--contrary to the common fallacy, proficiency in astrophysical engineering does not depend on your species and there's no reason anyone else can't know as much as a Geonosian or Colicoid about it.

I'm against Shiva having the capabilities to do this (at this time). Furthermore, it sounds rather like Shiva is essentially holding these engineers as slaves for 10 years and it's possible under the circumstances they might not provide him with their best quality work. If they're producing droids, in fact, they might well program them to fight for them against Shiva rather than for him. These are some concerns I have.

| Fair enough, Jace. I can rethink it. I suppose you don't really -need- Colicoids or Geonosians to make battle droids, after all. Perhaps a foundry can be worked on later. For now then, let's alter the idea: how would Kuras I or Meras V work as a new site for Shiva's new base of operations?
