I would like to throw up a quick request for an already established Senator, Avram Kirkwood, representing the Imperial client state, the Cygnus Star Empire. With that, I want to quickly request status of "owner" or however you want to call/address it, of the Cygnus Star Empire, which I'll attempt to flesh out.

The Honorable Avram W. Kirkwood
Senator of the Cygnus Star Empire

General, Imperial Army (Ret.)

I APPROVE of Avram as a "veteran" Senator with the same caveats we've had in the past; that is, a profile is preferred and rule 4.1—"new Senators may not vote on a measure for which voting was already in progress at the time they became a Senator"—should still apply, in my opinion. Ordinarily, I'd be fine with that, as I mentioned to you in Messenger. But because this request combines the request for the Cygnus Star Empire (that is, I didn't know you intended these to be the same request), I'd prefer to see a word or two about how you plan to RP the Cygnus Star Empire, where its sympathies would be, etc. These are things that we'd probably see established during the Senate application process, so it makes sense to me to establish it here ahead of time since there won't be an application process in this case.

Don't stress over it or anything, mind you. Just a word or two on what the Cygnus Star Empire will be all about, etc. is what I'm interested in.

Not a problem. For now, the Cygnus Star Empire would be very laid back, just going with the flow and working to support Cygnus Spaceworks in grabbing a larger part of the Imperial military-industrial complex. It is this laid back attitude that will largely lead to failure (designs not being adopted, failure to obtain funds, etc.) or being resigned to co-opt with KDY and Sienar on most major projects. Until rebellion starts to become a major factor in several years down the timeline, as a local power, they will largely sit on the sidelines unless otherwise shifted into a larger role by external influences. In summary, they will keep to themselves until it is necessary to do so otherwise, hence their largely unknown nature in galactic politics within the canon. Does that satisfy as a word or two?

The Honorable Avram W. Kirkwood
Senator of the Cygnus Star Empire

General, Imperial Army (Ret.)

Yes indeed, I APPROVE. (Remember also a profile for Avram would be good).

Since no one else objects, let's call it APPROVED.
