| This is sort of a pre-request for when the timeline does its official changeover. I'm asking for it now to save time, but the changes will not be in effect until after the official changeover.
With Stark Defense Conglomerate growing larger, the company would move to acquire two small-time companies, Brissalon Chemical Consolidated and Bacnor Armaments, as well as begin to move into the medical field with the purchase of Synthtech Medtech Corporation, which is a smaller medical company.
Furthermore, recognizing the symbolic nature of a business requiring a headquarters at Imperial Center, Stark would gain the proper permits and purchase/build a skyhook rather similar to this one in terms of size and capacity for defensive vessels.

| I APPROVE, with the caveat that it will not go into effect until thirty days after Stark's release from prison.

| Do you mean 30 IC or RL days? Because the Stark Defense Conglomerate is capable of the acquisitions without Stark being physically present.

| And for clarification, I mean IC, which for all intents and purposes shall be 15 RL days from the approval point.

| I APPROVE of everything except I'm apprehensive about this medical company. If the Stark Defense Conglomerate were large enough to invest a lot of credits in Synthtech so that it benefits more from this relationship in the short-term more than the Conglomerate does (enough to overcome fears that the Conglomerate, with no prior involvement in the medical industry, wants to gobble up Synthtech simply as a source of revenue for its defense endeavors—I made a similar point on one of Verilia's requests, I think), I'd be more open to this than I am. I also imagine there could be resistance to being seen as the "life-saving branch" of an otherwise "life-taking" arms manufacturer, if Synthtech employs doctors and other medical scientists who might have ethical objections to this. (The Hippocratic oath does exist in Star Wars). Money trumps all of that, of course, but as I said I'm not convinced the Stark Conglomerate is in a position (yet) to pull this off.
The rest of it I'm comfortable with, though. Including the skyhook.

| If you'd like then, Jace, I'll hold off on Synthtech for a little longer. Just keep in mind it is on the plate, so to speak; though not simply to boost its defense revenue. There is a legitimate reason for Stark wanting medical companies at least. I leave the final call to you. Added (09 Jun 2012, 12:33 PM) --------------------------------------------- Actually, can I alter that so instead of acquiring a medical company, Stark Defense Conglomerate will donate rather large sums towards current producers of medical products on a two-fold purpose:
1) Establish an interest in the medical field
2) Generate positive PR while also helping GalacticAid to make medications cheaper along the Outer Rim
