Rothana Advanced Armour - Planetary Trooper - AAPT



The Planetary Armoured Battlesuit represents a step change in planetary armouries design. A less sophisticated version of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps Hazard Armour, the Planetary Trooper Armour offers all the latest features but without the massive expense associated with some of the smaller manufacturers or the high-end suits utilized by some smaller specialist forces.

Protection and Speed

The Armour offers complete immunity to temperature extremes, immunity to acidic damage, as well as invulnerability to small-arms fire. This includes functional immunity to all blaster fire below the level of Blaster Rifles and even at that level the ability to protect the wearer from the first Blaster Rifle round on any given section of the Armour. Functionally, the armour is proof against all slugthrower rounds up to minor artillery level (including Armour penetrating and high explosive rounds).

The Armour is fitted with an exoskeleton which assists movement, rendering a 100% increase in Stamina and Speed in Standard Gravity and guarantees normal performance in high gravity environments.

The suit's onboard generators allow for 48 hours high intensity operation in combat mode (480 hours low intensity - walking etc) before the fuel slugs must be replaced.

The Suit is proof against hard vacuum for up to one month, with the auto-recycling systems powered by the back mounted onboard powerpack. In the event the powerpack is lost, the suit has emergency batteries for one day's power of it's recycling system mounted in the leg plates, and a biological reactor powering a carbon-scrubber fitted to the undersuit so that even in the event of a total power loss, oxygen can be maintained to the operator for some hours.

The Suit has a auto-medkit installed which monitors the condition of the operator and has the ability to neutralize pain, torniquet limbs and staunch bleeding through a sophisticated skin tight under-suit that allows constriction to be applied to parts of the body. Bacta can also be selectively applied without removal of the suit as well as a variety of stimulants and sedatives as the situation requires - this allows for endurance in extreme gravitational conditions which would crush most conventional battle armoured units.

The suit comes equipped with the ability to be fitted with a "Flight unit" which allows full flight in zero gravity or low gravity and up to 10 minutes sustained flight in standard gravity.

Integrated Weapon Systems

The Onboard Weapon System includes compatibility with all BlasTech Industries products via an augmented reality targeting screen. The suit has the ability to "auto fire" if targets are designated, this will result in the onboard computer "auto-aiming" and firing the blaster rifle when it is in the direction of the target.

The suit features communication on all standard hypercomm and analogue lines, as well as communications lasers for use in tactical situations. The Sensor System features all standard bands, including Radar, Sonar, Mass, Gravity, Magnetic etc as well as an onboard spectrometer allowing for the identification of chemicals or substances encountered.

The suit also has compatibility ready built in for the following weapon systems, picked out for their excellence.

Namely, the Stouker Concussion Rifle, The Imperial Heavy Repeater Rifle, Merr-Sonn Flame Rifle and The Merr-Sonn PLX-2M Portable Missile System

As for integrated weapon systems, the suit comes with an optional wrist-mounted Heavy Blaster Pistol or Ionization Blaster as well as an onboard vibro-cutter which has functionality as a combat knife.

The computer software for weapons compatibility is open source, allowing easy customization.

Instant Tensioning Armourweave


Instant Tensioning Armourweave is a hitherto experimental product which uses a kinetic chemical reaction to cushion the impact of bolts or melee combat hits. On being struck the armourweave tensions across an area several inches wider than the impact point (with a microfilament underwired mesh inside the fabric) which spreads quicker than the impact of the projectile or blast striking in an effect that lasts for around a second. This product would be patented (as would the idea of self-tensioning fabric as a protection). The underwiring of microfilament helps dissapate the energy of blasts hitting the subject - not stopping anything greater than a hunting blaster or normal pistol but helping reduce injury.

This would allow protection from most melee weapons, slug throwers, fragmentation from explosions etc (within reason) as well as some blaster protection.

Planetary Defense Force Armour - PDFA



This product is intended to guarantee a greater level of protection from the day to day threats of the Outer Rim. The armor utilises simple technologies which make it functional whether or not it has it's powered systems functional - allowing for extended deployments. The Armour itself consists of an instant tensioning armourweave undersuit (providing protection against light blaster fire and most forms of slug) with a number of armoured plates over the top.

The Armour plates are constructed of the standard high quality Plastoid seen on most Imperial Armour, with an electroplated layer of Duranium added inside them. This Duranium plating is considerably less potent than a proper set of Duranium armour, but does render the plate impervious to all slug rounds (even armour piercing designs of all types) and provides a slightly greater degree of protection to Blaster fire than Stormtrooper armour (stopping everything below a Blaster rifle and cushioning that to a large extent).


Helmet - The helmet of the this class of armor has a HUD or heads up display that consistently displayed tactical data such as the location and distance to your target, the health of the wearer and the integrity of the suit's plates and undersuit - with this data being relayed via a comms uplink to the local commander. The Helmet can system link to others through the use of an internal communications antennae allowing each member of a squad to keep track of their comrade's health and location. Specialized internal sensors can detect the make, model, and relative accuracy of every weapon in its database, and can adjust the format of the targeting reticule for differing weapons. The Helmet has a built-in filtration system which could extract oxygen from toxic environments. The visor was designed to incorporate electrobinocular and night-vision modes. It provides around 60 minutes protection to hard vacuum with onboard storage tanks. In the event the armour's systems are disabled the sensor array array covering the eyes is able to be retracted, allowing the operator to view targets directly through the array's transparisteel lens.

Body - The body of the armor boasts Duranium-alloy reinforced Plastoid plating for defense against blaster fire and other anti-infantry weapons. Its design includes resistance to extreme heat and cold as well as other hostile environments. The suit can be fully sealed allowing a trooper to survive in vacuum for up to 60 minutes. The right knuckle plate of the armor features a retractable fusion cutter usable for close quarter combat and opening bulkheads. There is also a back mounted micro-generator (optional) which can be used to power the suit, portable devices etc, it requires new fuel cells monthly.

Backpack - The Backpack features specialized ammunition cartridges able to carry most individual weapons magazines, and can be customized for many different missions. An extra oxygen tank for aquatic and space-borne environments, a large bacta dispenser for augmented healing, or even an external communications array for long distance communications (i.e. hypercomm transmissions).

Product Notes - The armour comes in your world's choice of color at no charge. It is most optimized to work with the Rothana Advanced Rifle.

Rothana Advanced Rifle "RAR"


The Rothana Advanced Rifle is the latest in our series of designs made to bring you the best possible outcome to every situation. It's easily integrated into the helmet systems most commonly used across the Galaxy and containing advanced targeting sensors to increase the user's information available via any HUD onboard his visor. In the stock it has a small compartment containing a survival ration, anti-dehydration pills, a firestarter, 10 minute rebreather and multi-tool allowing stripping the weapon.

The elegant angular design aesthetic represented in our latest rifle (depicted with armour above) demonstrates our companies eagerness to branch out into new areas of product development in order to provide a more complete service for our customers. The upper barrel contains the latest cutting edge Proton Rifle on the market, able to bring down light vehicles and armoured targets with impunity, having both speed and firepower to make it the demonstrable superior of almost every other commercially available blaster rifle or handheld repeater.

The lower barrel is an Ion Blaster Carbine with three power settings with different effects. The Magazine's capacity for each and the effect of the round is detailed below:

Each magazine carries in it's Ion Blaster Charge cell 120 Energy Units (EU)

Restricted Bolt (1 EU, 80 RPM): A low power bolt designed to be able to disable a B-1 or unarmoured droid, also useful for riot control as it provides a discomforting but not immobilizing shock to organics.
Standard Bolt (2 EU, 60 RPM): A medium power bolt that is able to immobilize most unshielded battle droids, disable civilian speeders etc. It's effects on humans almost always cause unconsciousness and cardiac arrest in 1:5 unarmoured healthy humans hit directly on the torso.
Charged Bolt (10 EU - 5 second charge, 5 second cooldown each discharge - 5-6 RPM): Fires a blast of crackling ion energy which is able to disable systems or individual weapons on some light and medium vehicles, able to penetrate vehicle hulls and so cause a transfer of Ion energy to droid vehicle operators and disable them, excellent for overloading shield systems. Causes arcing energy around point of impact that spreads high levels of Ion energy 1.5m, able to spread like a chain from metal surface to metal surface for 2 further meters, although the majority of damage is done at the point of impact. It will always cause unconsciousness and cardiac arrest in 1:2 unarmoured healthy humans hit directly on the torso.

The Rothana Advanced Rifle has a lightweight gas and power magazine which is inserted into the side of the weapon (preventing lengthy gas chamber changing). These magazines are able to power 250 full power blasts, with 50 lower power blasts being available as a "reserve" in the event of emergencies of lack or a reload. The small back mounted generator aboard the PDFA allows recharging of magazines (20 minutes per magazine) and the AAPT suit can be linked via an aftermarket extension cord to the RAR allowing unlimited fire (although the components of the rifle will overheat and temporarily shut down if more than 300 rounds a minute are discharged). The Ion blaster can only be used on the lowest setting if drawing power from the generators available on AAPT and PDFA as higher settings cause feedback that can cause feedback into the suits sensor systems resulting in glitches and risking a system reboot of the onboard computer.

Special offer: The Blaster rifle can be modulated to discharge it's blasts in the customers choice of color for no extra fee.

Usage
Light Cruiser

The Real Innovation with this design is the Linked Light Warhead, Quad-Laser and Tractor Beam Turrets (LLWQT), these turrets offer the maximum fighter engaging potential possible and are mounted largely along the trench of the Destroyer. Using advanced computer systems in cooperation with the operator, the Advanced Sensor Array is able to track up to 500 targets and prioritize them for engagement by the turrets.

Each turret is equipped with a tractor beam which will automatically lock on to an inbound target and slow it's course, the pilot will then choose whether to engage with Concussion Missiles or the Quadlaser and snap off a burst of fire before a new target is designated. It should be noted the small variant of the Tractor Beam present on these vessels is only strictly useful against small vessels and will not hold in place or impede a vessel above 50m in length (unless a group of them was designated on the Target).

Furthermore, the vessel has an advanced electronic warfare suite which uses the most sophisticated slicing computers to either take-over or shut down enemy drones, with the rate of 6 per minute for Vulture Droid Starfighters within range or one contemporary drone each 20 seconds. In armour, durability, and general hull design the vessel shares much in common with the Acclamator-II Frigate.

The "Pike" Anti-Boarding Suite

The "Pike" Anti-Boarding Suite is a retrofit available for all Capital ships produced by the Major Shipyards. It is highly personalized and tailored to the customer's particular requirements and may include any, all and even systems not hereto mentioned. These tailor designed boarding suites will be custom designed to your requirements by a specialist Engineer assigned to yourself for the duration of the consultation period.


Features:

Reinforced Bulkheads

The suite features as standard enhanced blast doors in all sections and strengthening on key levels in particular using the latest Azure Durasteel alloys, increasing their durability and damage resistance by close to 50%. This allows the vessel to be compartmentalized and sections containing boarders to be rendered hostile environments.

Hostile Environment Induction and Reduction Loops

A selection of vents in each section can be fitted with HEIRL, these vents contain a number of cylinders concealed in the wall containing chemicals of the ship owners choice (which can be discharged at will), the vents have the ability to flush an area with excess engine plasma and also to flush the whole area into a vacuum in seconds if required.

Gravitational modification decks

Areas of deck or whole sections of the ship can be equipped with gravitational modifiers, these allow the areas to have their own separate gravity from the ships main systems. This allows application of up to 20Gs consistently or 100Gs for short periods of time to be expressed against boarding teams, they are also able to alter gravity rapidly between 0 and 3Gs, creating nausea, discomfort and immobility in borders.

Shield Bulkheads

Areas are equipped with "shield doors" and bulkheads allowing firefights to be interrupted or areas to be sealed.

Coherent Radiation Emitting Weapons "CREW"



Any designated area or corridor can be mounted with either pop-up or pop down Coherent Radiation Emitting Weapons. These experimental (although the technology is well proven) weapons are extremely lethal to boarding teams. They are a hybrid of two weapon systems, a radiation emitter and a particle beam cannon. The effect is to fire a beam of irradiated particles that can blast holes directly through humans or battlesuits, with the intensity of the beam being able to be varied to allow for the vulnerabilities of the target. The disadvantage of the weapon is that it may damage the deck around it. It is advised not to use the particle beamer without a shield bulkhead or large group of targets to lessen its damage to the surrounding ship.

If firing using only the radiation emitter the weapon fires pulses of radiation on alternating bands to assure one is deadly to the boarding teams.

Ionization and Laser Turrets

Standard Ion Weapon and Laser Turrets are installed in a greater number than is standard.

Magnetically sealed sections

Sections of corridor can be magnetically sealed, having no aggressive effect but causing blaster bolts and charged projectiles to rebound dangerously multiple times until they strike a target.

Crew Panic Rooms

Armoured reinforced panic rooms may be placed around key areas, these areas are usually surrounded by a number of defenses and with a double thickness blast door. This allows non-combatants to take cover from a boarding action.

Pop-up Cover

Pop up cover (with fire slits) can be fitted to corridors, allowing counter-attack or defense against borders by simply being able to advance or retreat behind sections of blast door which pop up to the level of waist height across half the width of a corridor. As these are controlled by the defenders, they are able to provide their own crew with cover while denying it to their enemy.

Thermic Arc Projector



Issued to Crewmen or Marines, Thermic Arc Projectors are the weapon of choice for use against Armoured boarding troops. These weapons send a supercharged beam of plasma up to 20M, slicing through durasteel as if it were butter. These weapons are extremely deadly and so have their control circuits wired to the ships onboard internal sensor system, as a result they will only fire if they are not aimed in a direction that will cause damage to critical systems (if this feature is enabled), the length of beam may be altered by the operator (with power increasing as the range is dialed down). Each weapon can fire around 20 Seconds consistently before it requires a new fuel/coolant cell (which are easily carried and reloaded). In primitive terms, this is a shipyard-grade industrial cutter scaled down for use in boarding actions.

Combat Microarmouries

Armouries may be placed around the ship containing a number of weapons systems and armour suitable for the customer in question. These allow crewmen to quickly and effectively arm themselves to meet boarders.

I'll need a bit more time on the others, though at first glance the anti-boarding suite seems reasonable enough. I'll get back to you.
