General bits I'd like

Pike Anti Boarding Suites on my flagship.

Stuff for Geonosis

The opening of negotiations with the locals, seeking to divide and conquer etc and bring at least some of the Geonosians on-side. I'd like to propose this succeeds and we have at least one major hive on side, which holds sway over many others to at least be reasonably amicable. This would allow us to utilize Geonosian labour to an extent, and also to have some Geonosian native auxiliaries and a healthy production level within three months.

Space Assets

Aeeq Squadron, part of Red Fleet, Anaxes Navy - Arquitens-class (2), Nebulon B-class (1) - Anaxes Navy ships on station here, not under Ordan's direct command and not usable outside of the Geonosis system.

The Cardan IV formerly in the Mid-Rim (already requested but requesting to redeploy)
Six Utility Tugs - to aid loading and unloading containers.

One Telgorn Repair Yard - To act as repair and resupply for the Interest Protection Squadron

Four Tanglespace Arrays

Ground Assets

The Anaxes Heavy Infantry Division (A Reinforced Battlegroup almost identical to the Imperial Army in composition but dressed in Alsakan red) - Deployed in its constituent regiments in several secured bases built in disused factories or abandoned spires. They'd have an unspecified number (for now, I'll request it if it ever comes up) of walkers and heavy armour.

The Anaxes Interest Protection Squadron 4th Marine (Tion Cluster) Battalion - These are the ones I'd tend to RP with.

4 companies (612 units: 512 troopers and 100 officers/ncos) armed and equipped in "Rothana Advanced Armour - Planetary Trooper - AAPT" with a mix of the weapons compatible with it.
25 LAAT/i - To deploy the Marines
10 LAAT/c - Carrying 10 Saber-class Tanks

The Experimental Landship, Anaxes Navy

named

The Azure Thunder

The application of the Tarkin Doctrine on a smaller scale.

A venture oddly by the Navy rather than the Army, designed to be able to move easily across the flat rocky plains of Geonosis and level whole hives from afar or simply rattle around them intimidating with the sheer sound of its engines alone. This is essentially a bid by the Navy to give themselves a bigger role in Planetary operations and so increase their budget.

The ship is an Experimental Prototype, it's designed to roll up to a hostile fortress, scan it, and then orchestrate a multi-layered fire-mission down on the enemy. It's useful too for engaging heavy ground vehicles or entrenched positions. Against infantry it does risk being boarded if they are in sufficient numbers and well equipped.

It is not the ideal weapon for dealing with speedy mechanized forces who can quickly melt away, nor is it usable on worlds/areas where there is not firm ground. The heavier weapons (Mortars, Defoliator etc) are only pinpoint accurate when targeted by the Command bridge in concert with its sensor array, while they can be targeted manually they are slow to pivot (if they pivot at all) and so find hitting nimble targets difficult.

Length
750m from Dozer blade to rear.

Height/depth
70 Meters at highest elevation.

Armour
2 Meters on average, Durasteel Alloy, all hull is braced, bulkheads are sealed and may be pressurized before battle. The hull is comprised of high density Durasteel alloy because the landship does not under usual circumstances roll into battle shielded and so is reliant upon a thick hull

Shields
Primary Shield is cannibalized from a Victory-class Star Destroyer but due to smaller power input provides around half the Protection of a Victory-class. This must be de-activated in order to fire the Defoliator or Siege Cannon. It also blinds the high fidelity sensors on the Bridge tower. The landship may only move at half speed when this is active. This is a rarely used and is mostly designed as a defensive shell in the event of orbital bombardment, a meteor shower or other fire from above.

Plasma Shell S3 Secondary Shield may be powered while the main weapons are in operation, this is much weaker and only protects the bridge tower itself in a dome-like manner. Again it blinds the high-fidelity sensors, but has no effect on optics or basic bands which are what target the main weapons.

Maximum speed
10 kph

Power plant
KDY FW 90 large fusion drive systems (10)

Armament
Taim & Bak MS-4 twin blaster cannon turrets (18)
Ion Cannon Turrets (12)
Rear Facing Heavy Ion Cannon Emplacement (1)
Dual Turbolaser Turrets (2)
Light Repeating Blasters (2)
Dorsal Mounted Smoke/Gas Launchers (2) - Firing giant cannisters of poison gas (only against NPC Geonosians not player armies) or noxious smokescreens to attack Geonosian hives after they are breached or alternatively shield the landship from view.
Eight Barreled Proton Mortars (2)
Prow Medium Turbolasers (2)
Defoliator-cannon (1) - Added after it was discovered undamaged by a scouting mission to a foundry on Geonosis.
Siege Cannon (1) - A really massive Mass Driver Cannon - Designed to lob shells able to smash huge chunks out of Geonosian hives.
Armoured treads - Massive durasteel treads simply pulverize any trenches, vehicles or men in it's way. They reach twelve meters off the ground.
Durasteel Bulldozer Plough - Able to be leveled to 1m above the ground to allow the landship to push aside obstacles.

Complement - Launching any of these requires the landship to open the hangar door, leaving a massive opening in battle. The hangar door takes several seconds to open and close.
AT-ST (6) deployable by swinging out a crane from one of the hangar doors and dropping them down slowly.
TIE/fc (6) Fire control units/scouts able to designate targets for the landship and warn of inbound enemies etc.
Shuttles (4)
Light Freighters (2)

Crew: 500, 200 Gunners
Passengers: 50 Marines as standard, capacity for 500 passengers in Bunks.
Cargo capacity: 10000 Metric Tons
Design Features:
Fire control bridge in rear carriage equipped with extremely powerful sensor array able to scan trough the thick walls of Hive spires up to 10km distant.

Design Faults: Unfortunately the design was done by those used to designing tanks not used to designing such large models with such large weapons and so forgot one key factor - that is that the ship is more useful if it can fire into orbit - unfortunately the maximum elevation on all the weapons aside from the laser cannons and repeating blasters prevents firing upwards - ergo the main batteries can't fire into space.
It cannot use it's sensors to full effect if using the primary shields.
The Mortars, Defoliator and Siege Cannon cannot be fired on the move.
Massively heavy - Impractical to transport from world to world and requires disassembling into three sections and carriage aboard three bulk carriers, a process which takes two weeks (minimum) at either end to strip and reassemble. Ergo it's confined to Geonosis for the forseeable future.
Can't be used on soft ground.

I vote to APPROVE of a single, small hive fairly unpopular on Geonosis for its prior collaboration with the Empire continuing, now, to cooperate with the Anaxsi occupation. A hive of quislings. I imagine the rest of the hives would feign being leaderless and disorganized so that the Imperials, or Anaxsis in this case, have no figurehead to negotiate with. e.g. "Who's in charge of this hive?" "Dunno, I'm just a dumb Geonosian." etc. Deception on so grand a scale as this doesn't seem too hard for a hive society.

I vote to DENY any additional ships for Anaxes at this time.

I APPROVE of these.

I APPROVE of all this provided the LAAT's are leftover by the Empire, and the Republic before it. It's too derivative for my taste unless we say they're literally the same ones that have been there all along. Not implausible, I don't think.

I APPROVE of everything here with the exception of the TIE's and AT-ST's, which I vote to DENY. I must insist on planetary forces no longer using Imperial equipment; I also ask that Anaxes phase out the TIE's it currently has, but we can worry about that later. Also, just for clarification, the power plants are housed throughout the vehicle, rather than in any single "power plant," one assumes?

Why the issue with imperial equipment? I have a half dozen forces which use ties or imperial ground tech. I mean a lot of this stuff appeared in the clone wars in prototype at least, don't see why big core worlds couldn't buy things like this off the manufacturers?

All nations sell export versions of their vehicles.

Yeah each carriage would have its own plant.

I'd like to add, another point. You state:
(Jace_Varitek)
I must insist on planetary forces no longer using Imperial equipment

Define Imperial equipment?

Theres a hell of a lot of stuff which is used by the Imperial Military that is demonstrably also used by Planetary militaries? You're going to have to work with me I fear so I can actually understand what you mean? Capital ships? Fighters? Walkers? Blasters? Armour? And in each case please list what you're not happy to see.

As a general rule, I think planetary forces using capital ships or fighters or walkers or blasters or armor commonly and currently seen in Imperial use should be exceptions to the norm. While I admit there's an essential logic to planetary defense forces using these models, I do feel it's out of character with the 20 or so years of near-complete disregard of planetary defense forces in the canon, throughout which terms such as "Imperial shuttle" and "Imperial walker" are used so casually and commonly as to require no further specificity.

The TIE fighter: I'm prepared to cite a litany of quotes, if I must, as to the TIE being synonymous with the Empire, and additionally supporting the notion that they're exclusive to the Empire, such as the number of TIE's produced being "top secret" and the small handful of TIE models not in Imperial use being specifically referred to as "non-Imperial variants" or "non-Imperial starfighters." To say nothing of most TIE designs being listed as "not available for sale." I can't recall any instance of them being used in planetary forces in the canon (which is not to say that there isn't one, but I've never encountered it before). It strikes me as a misappropriation of Imperial symbolism, nevermind the practical IC concerns about mass marketing the fighter around which the Empire has constructed its entire navy.

(It occurs to me a good rule of thumb might be to mentally add the adjective "Imperial" before whatever item it is one intends to request for planetary use, be it a "walker" (thus, "Imperial walker"), a "blaster" ("Imperial blaster"), and so on. If a particular model of "Imperial walker" or "Imperial blaster" comes immediately to mind, such as the AT-AT or the E-11 blaster rifle, that model probably shouldn't be requested for planetary use, in my view).

This needn't become what this thread is about, though. I said I was fine with dealing with this at a later time. I've also rarely mentioned my views on this, nor solicited anyone else's, and if it turns out I'm the only person who feels this way I'll happily bend to the consensus.

May I also state my distress at discovering yet another area of disagreement between you and I, these having been so eerily infrequent over many years now but startlingly more common in recent days.

Just to note though. The T.I.E. Fighter was clearly sold to worlds public as it was manufactured decades before the Empire began, and is essentially identical to the TIE/Ln of fame. Would you be amenable to the usage of T.I.E. Starfighters instead of TIE/Ln (The more famous "TIE Figher").

And around Endor time, SFS was putting out adverts? I think it's apparent that there must have been some market for "Export models" (i.e. The same craft with a slight downgrade) but it isn't of great consequence.

To be honest, I don't so much disagree with your argument as think it creates a rather slippery slope! I really think there should be a clear list of what is on and off the limits - multiple people have lots of this stuff approved and it does require a complete revamp of what is currently approved (if you ask me).

Anyway, so I'd like to switch the AT-STs for AT-XT and the TIE/Fc fighters for T.I.E. Starfighters which were the successor to the Sienar APS Fighters (TIE/Ln predecessors) With an underslung sensor array and laser designator.

And thus it was that five days more had elapsed. And Jamie made himself a Carrot and Corriander soup (with a home-made dinner roll), and a Confit du Canard with sweetcorn and roast potatoes for supper and awaited a post.

Apologies for taking so long here. To be clear, I do agree with Jace on every count at this point in the timeline. Indeed, there were advertisements, but as you said, around Endor. Fourteen years from now, in IC terms; in an era where far more advanced fighter were being quickly rolled out and adopted by the Empire. As you have agreed on this issue, however, I will not press the point. With the accepted drop down to AT-XTs and T.I.E. Starfighters; I APPROVE of Jace's judgements.

Hoorah!

Don't mind putting a custom designed stats for the Anaxsi Model T.I.E. Fighter in a request in a while.

Cheers
