| While there will be more coming, I am waiting on commission work to come in since I can't find workable art for a few more items; this is a request for the specialized gear and weapons in use by the Special Activities Group. This is, of course, limited to just them, the in-character explanation being that simple matters of cost preventing wide-scale adoption by other elements of the Empire.
Armor Augmented Warfighter Armor System
An lightweight, fully integrated, high technology warfare suite, the Augmented Warfighter Armor System provides unrivaled technological advantage to the members of the Special Actions Group. Utilizing what is considered one of the most advanced powered exoskeletons, in that it is lightweight and undecipherable from regular armor; the armor itself consists of an outer layer, the powered exosuit, and then a lower layer of padding and armor. The helmet included the Integrated Tactical Communications System, which creates an heads-up-display in which enemies and vehicles, in addition to tactical and strategic information, is relayed to the user, as well as a display of vital signs, the weapon in use, how many rounds are left in a clip, and how much ammunition in whole the user has; the ITCS allows integrated communication from each team member, with the possibility to relay to others what the user is seeing, and also allows direct command of UAVs off of simple eye movement. The ITCS allows team leaders to set, in real-time, visible waypoints and goals for their team; and with the inclusion of combat sensors in the helmet and deployable sensors, the user is given 360-degree situational awareness. The ITCS also includes all possible vision settings; low-light, night-vision, electro-magnetic and infrared through a tactical optronic. In addition, the helmet includes a gas mask to seal the user entirely from the outside world, with the ability to seamlessly conduct sky and water dives; The Augmented Warfighter Armor System also includes a heating and cooling system for use when appropriate, giving the armor remarkable cross-terrain, cross-climate functionality.
Of note with this armor is the inclusion of several revolutionary technologies once common amongst galactic militaries but now in total disuse, or otherwise uncommon outside of certain cultures or based upon them. A triple-barreled miniature anti-armor rocket launcher sits on the back of the left shoulder, raising for use when needed. The rockets used are high-explosive, armor-penetrating and can inflict damage and all but the most heavily armored vehicles. The system can reload an additional volley, resulting in the ability to bring into combat six rockets for each individual. While the armor can take several shots before giving way (ten shots, with an additional three afforded by the lower layers until striking the user), in the interest of additional protection, force amplification and projection, and knowing the near impossible missions its users may undergo the Augmented Warfighter Armor System includes and hybrid energy and melee shield; the shield is not perfect, however. It can only be used for a limited time and can only take five to eight hits, depending on their severity. Of the most advanced technology included is the optical camouflage, also known as tactical cloak due to its improved effectiveness by use of an unique cloak, is similar to the stealth generators used by special forces thousands of years ago and yet non-existent in today's age. The camouflage is effective at completely hiding an individual from visual detection, however becomes ineffective should the individual run or begin to fire their weapon. Use of the cloak allows for effectively hidden firing of weapons, however.
While it is an impressive suit of armor, and technologically revolutionary, the cost of each individual unit means it is highly unlikely for it to ever be adopted in any wide fashion outside the Special Actions Group, however is indicative of the high amount of investment into the unit by the Empire.
Weapons SAG Assault Rifle
An effective range of 325 meters and a rate of fire of 625 rounds per minute, it has an 300 round capacity.
SAG Sniper Rifle
An effective range of 800 meters with an semi-automatic firing system, it has an 200 round capacity.
SAG Shotgun
An effective range of 50 meters and a rate of fire of 100 rounds per minute, it has an 100 round capacity.
SAG Pistol
An effective range of 50 meters and a rate of fire of 120 rounds per minute, it has an 190 round capacity.
SAG Personal Defense Rifle
An effective range of 100 meters and a rate of fire of 400 rounds per minute, it has an 320 round capacity. It has a built-in underslung shotgun.
SAG Light Repeater
An effective range of 800 meters and a rate of fire of 760 rounds per minute, it has an 500 round capacity.
SAG Repeating Blaster
An effective range of 200 meters and a rate of fire of 950 rounds per minute, it has an 400 round capacity. It has a built-in underslung shotgun.
Each weapon is equipped with holographic sights, rail mounted laser sight and rail mounted flashlight. Sniper Rifles and Light Repeaters are equipped with a tripod, while Assault Rifles are equipped with an underslung grenade launcher. Great strides have been made for both accuracy, stopping power, and armor penetration. Due to its previous work with the ARC Troopers, WESTAR would be the contractor for the weapons while the armor would be produced in pieces by several companies, both under the direction of the Imperial Department of Military Research.

| Quote (Jace_Varitek) Well, as you know cloaking devices are never approved, ever or ever or also ever
Quote (Jace_Varitek) can you do without the cloaking device? It'd be useful, true, but we usually don't approve them here.
Quote (Jace_Varitek) It is indeed my opinion that this type of armor for NPC's is over-the-top. Shadow Trooper armor is basically stealth armor
Quote (Jace_Varitek) Another reason I'm especially doubtful about personal cloaking technology is that it's something that as far as I know is specific to video games. It works well in a video game, of course, in which there are boundaries and limits on what "Player 1" can do. In an RP, though, where there are more possibilities and someone could conceivably, say, cloak themselves and then run down the street pantsing people anonymously, some kind of line has to be drawn. And it's easier to draw a line at personal cloaking technology, rather than saying you're not allowed to pants people, or any number of other malicious things a person could do with a stealth field generator.
Quote (Jace_Varitek) This is one of those instances where a few people using cloaking technology irresponsibly means none of the rest of us can use cloaking technology, either. This is why, in the past, it has been routinely denied here
Quote (Jace_Varitek) cloaking devices generally aren't approved here for OOC reasons... As it happens, though, there are convincing IC reasons as well. Namely this, from Wookieepedia; "Before the rise of the Galactic Empire, cloaking devices were virtually unknown." As late as 2 BBY (8 years from now, in the RP), Galen Marek uses only an "experimental" cloaking device on the Rogue Shadow, which is described as one of the most sophisticated ships in the Empire's possession at that time. But there's also the fact that your ships—starfighters, as it happens—are far too small to have cloaking devices. Do recall Captain Needa's observation about the Millenium Falcon, that "no ship that small has a cloaking device." Earlier, in 22 BBY, Anakin Skywalker says, referring to a corvette about three times larger than the Millenium Falcon, "no ship this small usually has a cloaking device" (italics added for emphasis).
Quote (Jace_Varitek) I remain opposed to a stealth hull on any vessel as I have been opposed to it in prior requests, as have the other managers

Quote (Colonel_Le_Grange) I don't reckon a cloaking device is going to be allowed, friend.
Quote (Farmer_Bill) Ain't heard o no stealth field, hearda hidin.
Quote (Jace_Varitek) And I'm not okay with the mimetic suit.
Quote (Karth_DeQora) I APPROVE minus the mimetic suit.

| That deals with the cloaking part. As for the rest of it, simple question: is there a reason Imperial armor and Imperial weapons aren't adequate? No, there is not. I realize you've put a lot of effort into this. It's commendable. But I think maybe you should save these statistics for another request; perhaps for Decius Industries? Hasn't been anything from them for awhile.
DENIED.

| P.S. There's no reason why the denial of any of this should hold up the Special Actions Group in the RP. They were fine before Black Ops II came out and they're still fine.
