Currently Anaxes has an Imperial II-class Frigate as it's deputy line ship. Since the stats are horribly vague (and would just cause OOC disputes if it came to battle) as the stats for the weapons in the source say "At least 4x, At least 4y" and are too ambiguous to be useful.

So instead I'd like to go for some fresher ideas.

Present ships of the Anaxes Interest Protection Squadron

Quote (Senator_Ordan)
The Tector-class Star Destroyer "Eagle"
Imperial II-class Frigate "Swan"
Assassin-class "Kestrel" - Blockadeer Unit
Assassin-class "Shrike" - Blockadeer Unit
Assassin-class "Intagliate"
Escort Carrier "Regal"
Escort Carrier "Warspite"

The following vessels we would like to retire from the Fleet:
Imperial II-class Frigate "Swan"
Assassin-class "Kestrel" - Blockadeer Unit
Assassin-class "Shrike" - Blockadeer Unit
Assassin-class "Intagliate"
Escort Carrier "Regal"
Escort Carrier "Warspite"

Note: The Corellian ships would be phased out as part of a KDY/RHE deal that grants them an effective monopoly to provide capital vessels to the Interest Protection Squadron.

These ships would be added to the Fleet, slower and more defensive in purpose than their predecessors:
Replacing the Carrier-come-Frigate "Swan"
Rothana-class Defense Destroyer (1) - "Star Harrier"

Replacing the older but faster CEC Assassin-class with heavier Rothana "Pocket Gunboat" Corvettes rather out of vogue with the manufacturers
Rothana Corvettes (4) "Empiricist", "Cachonym", "Rubric of Ruin" and "Hylozoist"

Replacing the Escort-carrier "Warspite" - A direct replacement here with a higher grade but slower and older carrier.
Acclamator I-class Modified Carrier (Carrier Variant - No ground vehicles carried; fighters/bombers are of Anaxsi Starblade line) "Bellerophon"

Replacing the Escort-carrier "Regal" - The second carrier of the Squadron to be scrapped in favour increasing light ship numbers to allow wider patrol sweeps ahead of the main fleet and to avoid ambushes.
Broadside-class cruiser (Corvettes) kdb-1 (2) "Superb" and "Vanguard"
One Squadron of Skipray Blastboats (12) "The Talons"
SCT Scout Vessel (3) "Audacious", "Thunderer" and "Ramilles"

New total fleet proposed

The Battleship Eagle
Tector-class Star Destroyer

Escort Force "Repulse Group" (as a matter of course either assigned to the Carrier or Battleship as circumstances dictate)
Rothana-class Defense Destroyer (1) - "Star Harrier"
Rothana Corvettes (4) "Empiricist", "Cachonym", "Rubric of Ruin" and "Hylozoist"

Carrier Group "Thunder" - In the event of combat Scout Group Prime will act as escorts to the Carrier
Acclamator I-class Modified Carrier (Carrier Variant - No ground vehicles carried; fighters/bombers are of Anaxsi Starblade line) "Bellerophon"

Scout Group Prime
Broadside-class cruiser (Corvettes) kdb-1 (2) "Superb" and "Vanguard"
One Squadron of Skipray Blastboats (12) "The Talons"
SCT Scout Vessel (3) "Audacious", "Thunderer" and "Ramilles"

Conclusion: Overall there is little important change to the fleet aside from a shift away from carrier based forces as predominated before to having a single moderate sized carrier. With the addition of more Heavy Corvettes and effective escorts the doctrinal change would be apparent even to the "casual observer"; Anaxes' fleet was moving away from the notion of a "stand-off fighter-based" attack and toward the Imperial Standard of close range gunnery, lead by its flagship.

New fleet (simple way to look at it)

Quote (Anaxes Dock Proposal Department)
Tector-class Star Destroyer (1) "Eagle"
Rothana-class Defense Destroyer (1) - "Star Harrier"
Rothana Corvettes (4) "Empiricist", "Cachonym","Rubric of Ruin" and "Hylozoist"
Acclamator I-class Modified Frigate (Carrier Variant) "Bellerophon"
SCT Scout Vessel (3) "Audacious ", "Thunderer" and "Repulse"
Skipray Blastboat (12) "Talon Squadron"

As has been highlighted, this reconstruction would produce an Anaxsi force extremely well equipped to meet the enemy in open combat, but lacks some of the former force's flexibility and adaptability. It would also be noted by analysts that while the number of ships in the fleet has risen somewhat, the actual tonnage has decreased after the two purpose-built carriers were considered obselete (a controversial move on Anaxes and elsewhere).

I vote to APPROVE minus either the Tector-class, which I don't imagine is happening, the Acclamator I-class or the 12 Skipray Blastboats. Too much firepower, tonnage be damned. Also, no mention of fighters; are we assuming the Acclamator includes in excess of 156 fighters? If so, T.I.E.'s?

With the Skiprays would it be possible to drop the number down from 12 to 6 or even if you ust 3 and clarify that they are the "GAT-12g" Model - the least heavily armed and least aggressive one. I essentially just see them as being the escorts to the Scout vessels with the longer range Sensors. With me taking the weakest version without turbolasers or any significant gunnery they're just big scout fighters - now you know they're not the more crazy later ones with lots of Turbolasers surely you could let this small scouting force "slip" without being pruned?

Fighters - As per the law no more than 100 military ships would be aboard.

The carrier would be loaded with a standard compliment of 96 regular compliment vessels in 8 Squadrons. I'd like to note that the designs are still under review.

3 Squadrons would be Standard Fighters (the An-1 - a modified version of the T.I.E.)
3 Squadrons of the Interceptor version (Custom designed interceptor resembling a modified T.I.E. Stats wise.
2 Squadrons of the Bomber-class (An-2 - a Skunkworks design using many Sienar aesthetics but with a rather different hull configuration.

Subtotal: 96

Then I'd have four (4) of the An-4 - A militarily useless (in any real fight) TIE trainer ship, but as they're still technically fighters they'd be listed.

That makes the regulation at 100 as set in Imperial Law for military ships. Various tenders, refuelling, rescue, repair ships and shuttles would be onboard also - bringing the total up to that 150 while only having 100 Military fighters

I don't have a very good reason for you to drop the Skiprays. You don't have a good reason to keep them, none that you've wanted to declare, at any rate. Despite this, neither of us are going to yield, evidently. So to be charitable about it, I suppose that leaves the matter of the Skiprays undecided for the time being and the following APPROVED:

1 Tector-class Star Destroyer
- "Eagle"
1 Rothana-class Defense Destroyer
- "Star Harrier"
4 Rothana Corvettes
- "Empiricist"
- "Cachonym"
- "Rubric of Ruin"
- "Hylozoist"
1 Acclamator I-class Modified Frigate (Carrier Variant)
- "Bellerophon"
3 SCT Scout Vessels
- "Audacious "
- "Thunderer"
- "Repulse"

With the fighter complement (provisionally) as follows (quoting you):

56 Fighters...

R-41 Starchaser x56

Firepower:

112 Ion Cannons
112 Laser Cannons
112 Warhead Launchers (448 Proton Torps Carried)

Z-95 Headhunter x56

Firepower:
112 Laser Cannons
112 Proton Torpedo Tubes (Unknown Torps Carried)

ARC-170 Starfighter x56

Firepower:
Forward-mounted medium laser cannons (112)
Rear-mounted laser cannons (112)
Proton torpedo launcher (56) (336 Torpedoes carried)

Now lets look at the Skipray firepower

I propose each Skipray I have be armed thus:

GAT-12g A-2:
Medium ion cannons (3)
Twin laser cannon turret (1)
Warhead launcher (1) (18 Torpedoes or Concussion Missiles)
Tractor beam projector (1)

So total firepower from 6 Skiprays
Medium ion cannons (18)
Twin laser cannon turret (6)
Warhead launcher (6) (108 Torpedoes or Concussion Missiles)
Tractor beam projector (6)

And total firepower from 12 Skiprays
Medium ion cannons (36)
Twin laser cannon turret (12)
Warhead launcher (12) (216 Torpedoes or Concussion Missiles)
Tractor beam projector (12)

I propose that 12 Skiprays is an extremely par tradeoff for 56 of most Clone Wars fighters (compensating for the 56 out of the Acclamator), that's pretty fair going. The Skiprays are clearly gunned in this instance by the larger number of fighters (and could likely be overwhelmed by them due to the Skipray's low speed). The fighters would also do better vs a capital ship by just spitballing up their torps.

So honestly I think 12 Skiprays is fair. If you dont think so, I'm happy to drop to 8 or 6 as required. Alternatively I could retain a pair of corvettes (as I know you're hesitant about skiprays)?
