Jeph Stomwell, ambassador, government power broker and underpaid (at least to him) worker waited outside Baltimn's largest spaceport, waiting for the exit of Senator Tiure, whose ship had been given permission to land minutes ago. Behind him, a specially customized repulsorlimo with upwards-swinging doors awaited the Huttese senator, making sure his comfort was top priority. Elements of Baltimn's security forces were there as well, to provide an escort.

In truth, Stomwell was ill at ease. Senator Tiure's visit came at an odd time, especially with the Labor Party and its odd leader speaking out against things that did not exist, as well as hurling accusations that were untrue. It was troubling.

Jamie the Hutt ooched down the ramp on Baltimn, his shuttle landed. His Huttese battle around glittering red and gold in the sun, a cape billowing majestically in the wind. A group of assorted rednecks climbing down the ramp behind him, lighting up Cigars and slouching.

"Greetings.." he said noting quietly that Stomwell was unarmed "You Baltimnites are not warriors then?" he said somewhat derisively.

jeph stomwell bowed at the hip; an ancient and formal greeting that jamulon, though he would not likely be incined to return the gesture, would find difficult, seeing as he had no hips. regardless of how much stomwell disliked hutts, it was his job to ensure the senator felt at home on baltimn, at least as much as possible.

"we are not a warrior race. i myself am a diplomatic envoy with no need to carry a weapon on my homeworld. the security detachment should ease your mind if you feel in danger.

"i took the liberty of preparing a transport, if you will come with me."

"Ha!" he chuckled out loud, the chuckle being echoed by his cronies "In my culture a man who is no man unless he is a warrior." he ooched towards the transport "Lets go to the school of hidden wisdom."

biting back an undiplomatic retort that would have involved a hutt's inability to move quickly not making them much of warriors, or their unwillingness to do their own dirty work, stomwell instead kept a cheerful smile on his face as he moved towards the elegant repulsorlimo.

"the school of hidden wisdom, senator? i'm afraid that is duke cale's private residence and not part of the diplomatic portion. besides, the duke is not one for many visitors. he enjoys his solitude. however, you do have rooms prepared in the embassay suite, as well as a large selection of meals to choose from. i will have duke cale informed of your arrival. perhaps he will opt to join us."

In orbit Jamie's corvette maintained a constant vigil on the school to check if material was being moved in or out.
"I am afraid I must insist, dastardly deeds there are one of the biggest rumours we are here to investigate.. now our mandate has been expanted to cover Mr Ulyanov's accusations.. Private residence or not, id like a tour. I think you would too, wouldnt you Mical?" he spoke to De Crion as he exited the shuttle behind him.

He had tagged along on Senator Tiure's trip, with his aide, one of his personal bodyguards, Océane, and a squad of the Freeworlds Common Army's finest commandos. The commandos were disguised as simple staffers, perfectly reasonable for a Senator of Crion's stature and prestige, Although relatively young to the Senate, he was a well known statesman in his home Sector, and had increasingly become known, and popular, throughout the galaxy, Although it was against his parliament's wishes back in the Freeworlds, he had made the personal decision to ride with Senator Tiure and his committee. He had found the people of Dantooine to be a...simple...people, certainly ones he was unused to considering his background and home sector, but he welcomed them as citizens of the galaxy and struck up conversation, at times finding himself having to simplify his discussion, but without complaint or reluctance.

He had stood with his personal delegation behind Senator Tiure's group, silent and stoic. He did make the courtesy to give a returning bow to Stomwell, but otherwise remained silent, letting Tiure lead his investigation. When he was spoken to, he gave a nod. "Yes, Senator, I do agree. Ambassador Stomwell, the Republic is here to do a thorough investigation to these complaints lodged against your government that is seeking eventual membership, and maintainance of its affiliate status. You have opened your world, government, and people to investigation, and to close doors now on us...will force us to close doors on you. A simple tour will not hurt, Ambassador, you can give my assurances to the Duke personally on that matter. However, like it or not, the School of Hidden Wisdom is a matter of some debate and controversy considering your world...and private residence or not, as my colleague has tried to point out, it is an educational body, a major one at that, and your education system is part of our investigation, public, and private." he said, showing a stern attitude few saw. He used it only when necesarry, and it seemed Baltimn would require a combonation of power, which Senator Tiure could provide oh so well, and finesse, which he would provide himself, for he was a very charismatic individual.

the corvette's scanners would see nothing amiss as there was nothing amiss to be seen. the school of hidden wisdom was simply there by itself, a solitary building that was less elegant for all intents and purposes than the manors within the city, belonging to other elements of nobility.

mentally wanting to throttle the secretary who'd made his schedule freefor this meeting, stomwell adopted a contrite look. spreading his arms, he sighed as if a great weight had been placed upon his shoulders.

"senators, senators. surely you are as familiar with aspects of the galactic civil war as i am. the school of hidden wisdom was a school where lightsaber forms were taught before emperor palpatine, may the force vomit him up, drove out the inhabitants. it is simply a name duke cale chose to keep as a memory to all the fallen jedi. it is no more an educational area than an eatery is an teaching area.

"nonetheless, i shall have my aide contact the duke and request a visit. meanwhile, would you gentlebeings like to be shown to your rooms? or perhaps a bite to eat?"

behind him, the aide would be working to contact the duke.

"Yes I would like to see our rooms, I trust you are aware there may be certain fees levied on your government to cover our expenses and the like..." he said in an off hand manner.

"hardly a need for fees when the governmentof baltimn is providing everything for yourself and senator de crion," stomwell observed as he boarded the repulsorlimo after the pair of senators.

"by the way, senator de crion, i was concerned to hear in the news of an attack of sorts on your offices. a horrible thing to have happen. i am quite happy you are unharmed."

the repulsorlimo would make its way through the streets of the city, heading past skyscrapers, office buildings and luxurious homes as they neared the offworld embassy.

Jamie the Hutt quickly leaned forwards at the talk of the terrorist attack, speaking to his wrist computer "The Records will note that Mr Stomwell made mention of an attack on Mr Crion's property." he looked up at Stomwell "Mr Stomwell, would you clarify for the records if that was a threatening inflection?"

stomwell chuckled and shook his head to indicate it was not so. nonetheless, it seemed prudent to vocalize it as well. after all, with the sly senator tiure about, there was no telling what trouble could be started.

"no, senator tiure, it was not. i happened to pick up the coruscant journal the other day and spotted senator de crion on the front page. hardly threatening to inquire about someone's health.

"the galaxy is a dangerous place these days when a man cannot even sit at work trying to make the galaxy a better place without someone trying to blow him up."

"So hypothetically you are saying someone might wish to attempt to blow us up? going about our duties?"

with a small sigh, stomwell shook his head. perhaps he'd have to spell it out as simple as possible for senator tiure who just didn't seem to be getting the point.

"it's called small talk, senator tiure. i can't imagine why anyone would wish to blow up the three of us and, frankly, it is a disconcerting thought to ponder. very pessimistic. i can only hope it is not the case."

if the huttese senator happened to gobble down a pound of explosive, stomwell would have not even batted an eyebrow. he might duck for a moment.

He chuckled in his seat of the limo at the Ambassador and Senator. "Thank you, for your concern, Ambassador. My colleague may have a valid concern here, do you know of any security risks that are clear and present at this time? These rebels seem to be highly motivated and appear to be ready to make their voice heard and make a statement. I can not recall his name at this time, but a famous philosopher once said, and this is not a direct quote, 'The only way for people to accept radical change is to force them through radical action'. Well, Ambassador, your rebels want radical change." he said to him.
