Dantooine, following research which proves* it was the first society to invent the wheel, would like to apply for a patent on the wheel and axle, and as such will demand a 5% Royalty, this would include all future technology making use of the axled wheel in any capacity.

This will be used to fund a museum about the wheel on Dantooine, the rest will be distributed to the landowners of Dantooine.

*According to the University of Dantooine's Arkeologee Dept.

I have just one very simple question about this: If you really do intend to apply for a patent on the wheel and axle, provided that there is really evidences of Dantooine being the first society to invent the wheel, and the Senate does get this approved. This will only apply to the worlds within the Republic. What happen if someone makes a use of the axel wheel outside the New Republic? Like maybe the Imperial Remnant, the Hutt Cartel, the Mandalorians, etc.?

Senator Tiure... no. Just, just no. The only way I would vote for this is if Dantooine shows completely authentic proof that the wheel and axle originated there and then agrees to have this proof cross-referenced with the archeological societies of the myriad planets of the New Republic.

If and only then, proof still stands, will druckenwell agree to pay any royalties to Dantooine for use of the wheel and axle.

Please find attached evidence as requested. I think will find it to be proof of the earliest origin of the wheel.

While I hesitate to impugn the University of Dantooine's most esteemed department of "arkeologee," and while I am not a gambling man, I am willing to bet that there was no Dantooine ten billion years ago. No cave paintings, no caves, no planet. Also, if I may make a rather obvious observation, the wheel is not a novel invention and, thus, is not subject to patent.

"Ha ha ha. Good one Senator Vanden. But with respect" he couldnt help himself laughing again "Hoo hoo hoo.. You are no scientist. I think The Rev. Dr. Professor "Hopalong" Deacon knows best in this field, he has Ph.Ds in both Arkeologee and Geolagy.. Everyone knows Dantooine is over 500 billion years old.. surely.. Hoo Hooo Hooo.. you do not adhere to young Dantooine theory?"

I will concede that the honorable Rev. Dr. Prof. may know something that I don't. However, I very much doubt this.
