Dear President Gavrisom,

The Senate Select Committee on the Viceroy Kruus has issued a standing subpoena for any government documents relating to the Neimoidian vessel, the Viceroy Kruus, and its movements, uses, etc. If your office is in possession of any such documents, Chairman Vanden kindly asks that you arrange to have them furnished to the Committee this afternoon. Best regards.

Dear Mr Tarpals,

Unfortunately, Chief of State Gavrisom is unreachable for this Afternoon as he is presently visiting wounded crewmembers from the recent fracas involving the Rogue Imperial Admiral Cross and then is the guest speaker at the Galaxis Awards, as such a transfer of files bearing President Gavrisom's Seal or Classified Files will require his presence in the office.

He is due back in the office tomorrow when he will be able to sign over these documents which have a Security lock, Classified Level or Personal Lock on them.

President Gavrisom's Sous-Adjutant, Inoreppep Azzip has instructed me to transfer all files which do not meet these criteria.

Regarding documents not involving the Chief of State, our automated system will forward all holonet communication and files involving the ship Viceroy Kruus that we are able to access (within current privacy law), we will require a Judicial Warrant if your office requires files which are marked as Personal or which are written on Private Holonet Accounts of Government employees.

Major (Retd) Horace Hitherto
Legal Officer (B-3), The Office of the President of the Senate.

Major,

Thank you for the above documents. The delay on further such documents is perfectly understandable. We trust that the Chief of State will provide us with any additional files that he has in his possession tomorrow, in the same prompt and forthright manner that we have come to expect of him. Also, needless to say, we do not require any of the Chief of State's personal files—only government files pertaining to the Viceroy Kruus. It would be most unusual and, indeed, against the law for government business to have been conducted on private accounts, and naturally we do not expect that this is the case.

Our thanks, once again, for your assistance.

Meeva,

Many thanks for your message, Mr Azzip has assured me one again that the transfer of these files will not be a problem once President Gavrisom is available to sign their transfer documents as per the standard regulationd pertaining to the handling of classified documents by Commissions, Committees or other Assemblies of Elected Individuals.

I have been instructed to request you assure the "Kruus Committee" are aware of their legal obligations regarding the handling of documents with a Security Classification Rating, as we have had incidents before of civilian elected officials disclosing potentially sensitive classified information in breach of the relevant law and regulations.

Major (Retd) Horace Hitherto
Legal Officer (B-3), The Office of the President of the Senate.

p.s. On a less official point, may I complement you on your taste in neckwear, having been stationed on Naboo for some years as a young student I made a study of the Local Textiles and I must say your neckpiece is exquisite! Perhaps you would care to meet in the Senate Staff Bar, at say, 2100?
