in the meantime, baltimn security forces moved to quell rioters and people who took advantage of the current unrest on baltimm to loot and pillage. there were several dozen arrests, needless to say; none unwarranted.

for the moment, it was a precarious balance that was kept.

As the Baltimn Security Forces moved in to tackle the crowd, the crowd erupted, blaster fire coming from the crowd and tearing into the security forces, and for every armed farmer there were others armed with whatever was to hand, stones, bottles, home-made bombs, bricks all was thrown towards the thin line infront of the parliament.

From inside houses within the cities, preplaced depots of munitions were distributed to the crowd, and quickly it would become untennable for the Baltimn Government to contain the crowd, they had the right to assemble and protest, and the Government had attempted a crackdown.

The crowd began once more burning speeders and wheeled cars, often rolling them down hills into any Baltimn Security forces who cared to get in the way, the violence quickly began to become anarchic as the crowd rampantly assaulted the outnumbered baltimn security forces.

Eventually it got out of hand, with the mob overwhelming the all too thin line of police at their precincts, the governmental buildings and legislature building, every official who was captured was beaten and trampled to the ground, most severely injured, some dead.

The cry of "We Will Win!" went through the crowd as they surged over the police and military lines, despite the efforts of the forces the crowd would not be contained, nor would it be dispersed, many military soldiers simply refusing to fire into the crowd for fear of an atrocity or being overwhelmed and slaughtered. Some even took up the cause of the crowd, seeing friends and relatives among the seemingly numberless crowd.

Members of the Vanguard of the Labour Party now joined the mob in the streets, concentrating their numbers in any location where the Government forces were, locals bringing some groups cakes and drinks as they fired to suppress the security forces from attacking the crowd.

The Revolution as it was in progress was not without casualties, many dying but the rage and anger at the regime who had prostituted their world to the Neimoidians and attacked the Republic they wished to join was insurmountable. Images of the bodies of the dead were circulated, notably in the Galactic Media by the revolutionaries.

In the early evening the final push was made, with the revolutionaries sweeping crowds into the Government building,

Happily Luuneray Kruus was present in his capacity as Poet Laureate to observe the revolution, painting what would become a famous image of when the protestors broke the police line and began to storm the building from which the Stomwell Administration ruled.

Thousands of armed revolutionaries stormed into the palace, firing indiscriminately, slaughtering every Civilian and Military official of the Government they found who did not surrender..

On the ground, the outgunned and outnumbered security forces fled the city in their Flash and Gian speeders, making for the safety of the far countryside. Under the command of the expert General Preston, who had served with distinction in the Clone Wars with the Republic, the Baltimn Defense Forces, a good eighty percent of which remained in the fight and loyal, holed up in the city, barricading themselves in for a siege and evacuating any noncombatants who wished to depart.

From a suborbital level, the patrol boat Alpha 2 fired upon the attacking Skyhoppers with concussion missiles, likely taking many from the sky. The real threat though was the evacuated Neimoidian starport. To deal with the munitions left behind, the already scrambled fighters roared down, engaging with surgical precision any Neimoidian assets left on the ground, including weapon emplacements, in high-speed hit and run attacks, doing their best to rob the insurgents of extra weaponry. Order would be restored, but in space, Stomwell prepared an emergency broadcast to the New Republic.

His backup craft, the VT-49, had suffered in his departing of Coruscant. Fortunately, the Geno Haradan helped their own, and its timely repair would let it join him here if and when it was needed. For now though, he exited hyperspace in his personal ship, a vessel quite like Boba Fett's in many ways.

"Baltimn control, this is independent ship Fist of the Suns. Requesting permission to land and apprehend one Vladmir Ulyanov, dangerous insurgent as per the bounty posted by the Baltimn government."

using the communications satellites around the planet, the government officials tapped in and put out a broadcast of their own to override ulyanov's, requesting people return to their homes and ignore the insurgents.

as the neimoidian stockpiles had been badly decimated (and all turrets and tractor beam emplacements taken out), baltimn's fighters flew the skies unchallenged. buildings were buzzed (while keeping a hand on the chaff dispensers in case of rockets. the patrol boat itself descended over the man city at the height of ulyanov's speech and fired several quad laser cannon bursts into the former governmental building.

The Neimoidian Battleship Kruus had been standing off in orbit of Baltimn's Star for some time when the order came from Luneray Kruus, aboard the Lucrehulk that something must be done, the Baltimn Government were firing at a building packed with civilians.. The ship's shields crackled into life as from its hull launched its full complement of 36 X-Wings, 12 A-Wings and 24 B-Wings launched from its hull. The Kruus' fighter flotilla then made the jump to hyperspace to exit above Baltimn.

The Kruus itself had its weapon gantries all fully deployed and ready for action, its vastly superior firepower ready to meat out vengeance in the name of sentients rights for the flagrant breach being observed on Baltimn.

Luneray Kruus stepped up to the communications pad of the Lucrehulk's large bridge and opened a channel to the Baltimn Corvette and Ground Command. "Your ships will Immediately stand down. Your soldiers will lay down their arms. Neimoidia has seen the sheer lack of respect your Government has for its citizens in firing on Government buildings, albeit filled with protestors, you cannot deploy massive widespread deadly force on them. You are no Government, you are a disgrace, an outrage and a shame to that name, in the name of what morals you have I ask that you give yourselves up without violence and surrender yourselves to trial. If you do not, I am afraid to say, I will deploy the full force of the Neimoidian Military to prevent you from causing harm to your people, any Baltimnite Military Units which remain active as of ten standard minutes from now will be neutralised. We also call upon the Government of Mr Ulyanov to not take vengeance into his heart and to respect the cease fire we are imposing, in exchange we will allow use of our computers to relay what messages he must and he may broadcast directly to our Embassy in Murmann City, from whence we will relay it as he chooses. I also fully intend to inform the Senate of this development."

All over the planet on local comms grids the pictures of the Government Patrol Boat firing down at the building filled with people and the aftermath was shown, Who would give such an order?.. This broadcast, along with a re-broadcast of Ulyanovs principles had circulated, it began to win yet more people over, especially disgusted soldiers and citizens who were outraged at the atrocity now being wreaked by their Government.. even former government supporters began to think twice.

"neimoidian vessels, this city was declared a warzone and locked down under martial law and the people were ordered to disperse, but did not. they were given ample chances to remove themselves. force was the only option. baltimn defense forces will not stand down and all vessels are to continue repressive operations above baltimn until ordered otherwise by this government or until an official order is received by a new republic task force.

"you have no right to interdict said vessels or prevent this goverment from going to coruscant to receive aid from the new republic."

dimitri knew better than to look for ulyanov in the city. no, the latest hunt would have to begin in the countryside. taking his ship in a slow pass over the city, he headed for the country.

The Kruus' Captain opened a communications channel even as his vessel fired its disabling shot. "Your vessel has been given this one chance to stand down immediately. As will all forces from your Government. If you agree to surrender to our custody now then all of your citizens and your ship will be transported safely to New Republic Custody. If not then you will be fired upon further and taken prisoners of the Neimoidian Government." The vessel targeted the number of its 70 Turbolaser Batteries and Proton Torpedo Launchers facing the corvette on the vessel and began to power for the second shot, it would be quick, deadly and catastrophic..

The Neimoidian Fighters would also exit hyperspace, close to the planet quickly moving in close to wipe out the Baltimn Defence force's fighters it had in the air, and to perform punative bombardments on Government forces anywhere a firefight raged, but being selective with their targets, and using non-deadly ion fire to disable where possible, the Baltimn Aircraft, faced with 2:1 odds, piloted by skilled ex-NRDF pilots would likely realise the futility of their situation.

true to stomwell's word, he did order the ground forces to stand down and return to their bases, but not to disarm. the protestors would not be allowed on or in any military structures until the question of government was finally settled.

the neimoidian fighters would not have such an easy time of it. baltimn's pilots had either flown with the new republic defense forces or for the imperials at one point or another, and all were well trained. however, attack was not their aim; fleeing was, so with all power devoted to rear shields and engines, it was quite like that a good majority would escape, minus one or two who were destroyed. as the patrol boat had not been a target, its jump to hyperspace was unimpeded and it did escape rather easily, followed by the remaining fighters.
