| "I say Master... that I don't know why I have to stand charges for defending the galaxy from the Sith." Unclipping his lightsaber, he turned to Jace. "Prehaps this will make up for the one you lost against Darwin... try not to lose this one, eh?" And with a gentle throw, it proceeded towards Jace. "And just for the record... I didn't miss that class." As he about-faced, he proceeded to walk to the door, then stopped as it opened. "No one will ever learn to understand me... or even why I was made a Jedi Knight..." Sighing some, he walked out of the Chambers.

| "Good Malius," Streen said from his seat in the Council chamber, breaking the pensive silence he had observed throughout the proceeding (and for which he was known, as a notorious loner). "Considering the storm of public sentiment over Darwin Sky, and certainly over Kyp Durron, might we be acting too hastily to involve the Republic in this latest affair? I fear that a wind of disfavor could possibly overwhelm us as it did the Jedi of olde, and perhaps it might be the only blessing in this incident that the Republic is thus far unaware of it. Considering also that the disciples Havoc has slain were likely not Republic citizens (and that we will never know, as the Temple has reportedly been destroyed), it is dubious whether the Republic could, in fact, charge Havoc. The Jedi Master assumed a distant expression, as though he were gazing at ominous storm clouds on some otherworldly horizon. Concern occupied his weathered, bearded features. "I simply fear incurring the public against us, at a time when their faith in us has already been so pummelled by recent events. Might we still punish Havoc ourselves? Perhaps agricultural duty, or confining him to the Academy for a time while he is re-educated? He is clearly too temperamental, too prideful, and in need of guidance." — Jedi Master Streen

| If Streen was known for being stoic, so much the more could be said of Alies. He remained silent during the proceeding only mentally voicing his thought to the other Masters. For several more minutes he remained, head bowed and humble even after Havoc had left the chamber. He listened to Streen’s concern and registered it with his own, however he saw looking to the other side of the fence. Finally he raised his head (thought he focused on the wall between Ky-Nomi and Streen) and spoke. “Chief of State Eli Fitzgerald placed his own authority on the line to establish what he felt was the best and most logical method for dealing with Jedi criminals,” he cringed at the word. “We agreed, albeit some with less enthusiasm than others, to uphold our end of that bargain. That in mind where should we stand now? “Havoc has murdered, whether to good or evil remains hidden from my sight but the action stands; and, if murder was not enough he desecrated the bodies in an act of bloodless vengeance. We all heard the rabid mumblings and watched in horror as he proudly displayed what he had done. Is this an act of self defense? I think not. “However, Streen also holds a certain point; could the republic even legitimately charge him? What then? We have only what we can physically see, and the testimony of our own Jedi Knight Varitek whom, may I remind us all, was once friend to Havoc.” He raised his hands to his temples and began rubbing them slowly. “My friends,” he said, for he took in Jace as one of them, “the question is not whether Havoc did wrong, that has already been established. The question now is this: Does the Law of the Republic apply to the Jedi? I say yay. Do we serve the Republic? I say yay and so much the more. We are the servants of the living Force, to uphold the law is our very nature. “Master Streen is concerned with the publics’ outrage towards us because of recent events, and rightly so; but I fear that to NOT involve the Republic is to incur all the more wrath. I am no Redeemer, I cannot fathom the best redemption for Havoc, or if it is even possible; perhaps we could call in Ms. Shinzon?” He left the questioning the air.

| As she waited outside of the Council Chambers. Celise availed herself of the varied current events and matters related to the New Republic. Giving to Havoc a nod as he walked out of the Chambers, she resumed watching the screen with interest when he had departed. There were several articles of noteworthy perusal, but the one that had captured her interest and concern was the most recent statement from Eli Fitzgerald regarding the brutal death of Zhyr's Senator. Ordinarily this would of been merely a sombering media headline as Moraine had fought a very.. lengthy battle against the Intergalactic Banking Clan, and Shinzon also knew that the IGBC had been threatened by a supposed "Sith". But these could all be unrelated, and Shinzon kept that consideration as a plausibility. She wasnt always right on every aspect of the world, and failing to save her father had taught that above all else. Still as Shinzon listened in on Airstrike Fitzgerald's report and paired it with her own knowledge and training.. a cold sensation akin to a mist touched on her senses. The feeling was one she had not experienced since Deralia, but it was there. It was almost like a echo in the force, or a faint wound. Something infected.. a malaise of some form was the sensation. Assuredly the Jedi Council felt it when it occured a few hours earlier.. but the reasoning on "what" the causation was, still remained a unknown. "We are recieving word from Zhyr at this hour that Senator Ardelia Moraine has been murdered, by a currently unidentified assailant who infiltrated her quarters on her homeworld, brutalized and killed her with a weapon that is reportedly consistent with a lightsaber, but that has not been confirmed at this point." A Lightsaber on Zhyr.. Used with deadly efficiency also. In the past Shinzon might of done what she had the last time, and dashed off to a world alone, but Deralia had been the anvil on which she had been reshaped. Taking notes on the matter and pairing it to what the holocron of Ryuka tas Vorhn had taught, it would be a fair estimate to say that Celise was indeed familiar with Zhyr and its histories. Perhaps as familiar as she (Vorhn) who had first come to that Planet a thousand years earlier. Thus Shinzon concluded that while assuredly there were other factors at play, perhaps Force spawned reasons that she was feeling this, she ignored and kept her head level. Ever the realist she prefered to think and ground her thoughts in blunt common sense, and the saving grace of complete practicality. The Jedi were peacekeepers, not prophecy chasers after all. Insane cultism was more in character for those who let passions sway them. And giving into one's passion in turn breached the very code she was sworn to follow. Now granted Celise like all Jedi could appreciate the intricate ways of the force, and how the prophecies could turn out to be true. It would be wrong to say that she never believed in the Force's abilities and that it possessed a will.. Her very training had taught to her that both the Light of the force and the dark side of the Force had wills of their own, usually bound in a unending tapestry of life. The Force was not what Celise doubted. Shinzon was merely a firm believer in the edict that power corrupts, and that there was a always the prospect of total fallibility in all people and the seed of misconception. So really striving to fulfill prophecies for the Force, struck her as foolhardy at best, and recklessly dangerous at worst. But she didnt linger on the matter more than that. There were more pressing and tangible concerns on Zhyr than a history lesson. So.. Zhyr had a problem with a Lightsaber wielding maniac? Celise knew her father had knowledge of Zhyr, and so she reasoned that Deimos might indeed of come to that world. If he survived it made perfect sense, and it in turn gave a motive for the slaying. Alternately it could of been Darwin or some other lunatic. But either way.. Issues of the highest degree would be brought to light. Celise settled on two options as she listened on to the reports with a somber expression on her face. Either she could run off like Ryuka had on some spice fueled meditative vision (and thus run the risk of waltzing to Zhyr and a trap), Or she could be true to her own code and methodically unwind the spools of information to discover what actually was going on. Unsuprisingly Shinzon chose the latter and Alleria Sur Pelin's modus operandi over Vorhn's, and reabsorbed herself in the specifics of this case. When the Council called for her, she would most certainly report to them on this occurence. Until such occured, she could gather information in the waiting room, and build her case for a investigation.

| Varitek was surprised―but typical of him, didn't show it except perhaps for a raising of the brow―when Celise was mentioned. Instinctively, he half turned to glance toward the door, but stopped as he rather belatedly sensed his fellow Jedi Knight's presence (especially now that Havoc's turbulent presence had since subsided). Celise was right, in many respects, that Varitek did indeed prefer order and understanding to what she called "trembles" in the Force, and that his perusal of the historical accounts of Ryuka tas Vorhn did not exactly endear Celise to him, as she claimed a relation to or, perhaps more specifically, a connection with the Sith. That alone was disturbing enough. But his distrust of her was motivated also by a fundamental contradiction in Varitek's own thinking. He was a man of "the law," not only social laws but scientific ones, as well. That he had little patience for wonder and whimsy (for the "fantastic") was obvious, but this would invariably frustrate him when trying to understand a phenomenon―the Force―that so often defied explanation in any other terms. Perhaps it is this skepticism that the old Jedi sought to avoid by recruiting their students early in life, but which Varitek, who joined the Academy at 27, still possessed in abundance. He was fond of the saying that "not far from the invention of fire must rank the invention of doubt," and in his studies of Jedi and Sith lore he often struggled to suspend his disbelief. The Durron affair was one such situation, when Varitek had to admit that the Force was capable of extraordinary, and sometimes bizarre things (such as inciting even Master Streen to mistakenly assault Master Skywalker). But had Streen been fooled by a Dark Lord, thousands of years dead? And had the same, incorporeal Sith "possess" Durron? Varitek had to doubt it, though in doing so he was decidedly alone among his peers, as he was in many respects. He wanted to believe it, and ostensibly he did, but as usual he was inwardly skeptical. It was, perhaps, ironic that his need for understanding so often made him more ignorant. But needless to say, Celise's account (and even Echuu Shinzon's, before her) required a thorough suspension of disbelief. Varitek had felt from the beginning that Shinzon was dangerous, that his story was too fantastic and most likely a fabrication, and that the Council was wrong to place its trust in him. That Celise then claimed a connection to an ancient Sith (and now, to Shinzon) was not only reminiscent of the Durron affair, but worse, as far as Varitek was concerned, because it was a fantasy that she―and apparently, the Council―had embraced. Varitek preferred an order to things, yes, but also an understanding and thus, a reasonable explanation that Celise, to her credit, did not pretend to have. All of this, and Celise's distinct―if subtle, and by no means uncommon―difference of philosophy when it came to the Force, did not endear her to Varitek. He tended to view her with as much suspicion as she had viewed Shinzon before his apparent fall to the Dark Side (which, to his knowledge, had still not been confirmed to this day). But, as always, he masked his feelings; a tendency he had as a shy youth, now enhanced all the more with the Force. He was never impolite to Celise, but nor was he cordial. He tended to avoid her striking, green eyes, as he did now when she entered the chamber.

| Rising as she put away her telecorder, Celise padded wordlessly into the Council Chambers. Meeting Varitek's gaze briefly, a echo of a smile crept over her features. She respected Jace Varitek and even if he ever remained aloof, she saw little reason to complain on that, likely because she was much the same in many regards. Especially after she'd learned that Echuu was her father. ~"Even still.. until I have the sampling of that cloth and a paternal midicholorian test.. all I have is that Force Spirit's testimony.. And I somehow doubt that it is unbiased.."~ She accepted Echuu as her father because she had felt something when they met, which sank deeper than words. That singular revelation alone was all she knew of Echuu aside from the original man's actions and deeds of recent times. Whether the Echuu Shinzon she fought was the ancestral Echuu Shinzon of a thousand years earlier, she did not know. But the holocron that she had been instructed as a Redeemer with stated in no uncertain terms that he was. And its lore had been accepted by Luke Skywalker, who now kept it personally. Thus Celise had in a moment of uncharacteristic vulnerability trusted the matter and Luke's choice and closed it. But still she could not fathom what started it. Or in other words, why Deimos had been so interested in a Imperial Pilot turned Rebel. That she was his daughter seemed to fit the reason he had pursued her. Celise dealt in facts, not fiction. Deimos or the Echuu which had been on Deralia had attempted to kill her after he failed to seduce her to the dark side of the Force. So she had fought the man who she percieved was her father. Evidence aside, she had several of her own questions she fully intended to voice to the Council in due course. The least of which was if a chromosome test could be done to confirm or debunk this notion.. Making her bow to the masters Malius, Streen, and Alies; all that Varitek gained from her as she bowed was a slight motion of her mechanized left arm. It was a simple if not blunt statement of ~"Like my new addition Jace? Pretty stupid of me.."~. Something did seem different about her though and Varitek would have to attest that. Her thoughts didnt linger on Echuu at all now, or even his philosophies. The sensation that her mind gave was that instead of debating the nuances, she wanted answers in hard format. The chief one of which was. "What now?" The battle was fought and this was the aftermath. It is typical that in times of conflict it is the lessons of War that teach the most. Assuming that Celise was indeed the daughter of Echuu, then she had essentially turned her back entirely on both Echuu Shinzon and his Dark Lord of old. "Masters." Lifting herself from the bow, she looked from Malius to Raztlain, her eyes briefly lingering on the second as unspoken words drifted between them. Words of thanks, gratitude and perhaps also a concern and care for Alies were etched in her eyes. Yet unlike Gelu, these questions were borne of a concern for a colleague and brother, not a lover. In this factor Raztlain's words appeared to have brought Celise fully into the Light, and stamped a commitment to the Jedi Order on her that had only grown stronger with time away. Malius recieved a similar look of passionless joy, his alien heritage entirely overlooked in the larger scope of things. Streen was a new face but welcomed with the same respect. They were her friends, and comrades, and the sensation that she exuded carried the sensation that seeing all of them, alive and well was enough for her. Varitek too was forced to endure for a few moments those storm green eyes as they seemed to thrust like daggers at the soul. She spoke finally and chose her words with a deliberate care. "Foremost. I would apologize if my absence caused any undue hardships or concerns. I truly felt that it would be a prudent course after the events in Deralia against Deimos, if I took a leave of absence to better understand myself. I feel that the trip was indeed worthwhile, in that it has born fruits which I feel have honed my understanding of the Force, and what I must expect of myself as a Jedi." Lifting her hood from her face, silver hued hair framed a robustly health face. She had definitely aged in her time apart from her comrades, but her condition seemed mightily improved from that black day in Deralia where her emotions and indeed her very soul bore deep seated cracks and pains in them that threatened to choke her. When she had departed them, she had been treading dangerously close to the path of deimos. The path of destruction. But she was not a shadow of herself any longer, and the turmoil in her spirit seemed to have been healed, the pain in her heart purged with a radiant fire of serenity that only came with complete dettachment from self. Instead of the doubting young girl that the Council had adopted some six or so years earlier.. or the shell of a Jedi broken and wounded in Deralia. What stood in her stead was a focused Knight who carried many concerns and burdens, but at the same time had not been crushed by those burdens, but rather tempered and instead kept a mindfulness about her actions and thoughts. "It was a reckless if not entirely ridiculous thing for me to travel alone to Deralia. It endangered people who did not need to be, and it was foolish. If it is the desire of the Council, I will submit to any retraining that is required in lieu of my returning to active duty for this Council. That stated, I would submit that in gaining the same wound as my father.. I have come to see his.. (Echuu's) mind more clearly, and understand now where such courses of thought can ultimately lead. Thus.. I must condemn these dangerous things, if I am to be true to myself." Rejection. Complete rejection of the path he followed was her statement. But "Her father..? The same wound?" No doubt she meant the loss of her left arm, as Shinzon himself had kept a prosthetic right arm. She now claimed outright that she was Jedi Master Echuu Shinzon's daughter? Bold, and yet she did not deny the claim. If anything she seemed to carry a faint wish to have it either confirmed or denied by her "true" family. The very manner with which she carried herself was entirely opposite to Echuu's, and gone were any pretenses. If it was fact, grand. She had slain her father. If false, grand. She had slain a sentient on Deralia. Neither course was a joyful prospect for any Jedi. Celise had truly done nothing wrong, and the entire battle on Deralia, and from the accounts of Cardoma, Arren, and Quelar, her actions had been well within the parameters permitted by the Jedi for taking a life. But yet in a fashion akin to Echuu, Celise had also become a hardliner of the Jedi principles in her self imposed exile it seemed. But this was simply a policy of intolerance to belief that she or any other person in this life or the next was beyond reproach or infallible. The facts of the occurence lined up flawlessly and read as Celise had reported. She had fought a Dark Jedi, and seen with her own eyes that it was indeed the former Jedi Echuu Shinzon, then she had attempted to redeem him. When that had proven to be impossible with her then limited training, (her report stated that she wished she had the wisdom to save him, but was forced to protect herself.) She had executed her duty as a Jedi Redeemer in a complete refusal to tolerate the Dark-side. Her testimony diverted not even a Parsec ever. There were of course probably security cameras on Deralia, or some Soorusub drone that recorded it somewhere.. that could wholly validate her story, but Celise did not have those evidences, nor had she thought at the time to collect them. She had after all been rather emotionally charged and a little "unarmed" at the time. This was the expected role of any Jedi, but for Celise it had been a twin war proverbially as both Malius and Raztlain no doubt knew now with the news of her connection Shinzon voiced, and fully admitted to the Council Members. For even as she had dueled with Deimos on a physical sense, she had also warred and fought a far more deadly foe on the inside. Her own emotions. That was the true victory, if one could be gained from what sorrows had awaited her on Deralia. "Beyond that I will answer any questions you may have, and remain here at your convience my masters." Let the past be reminisced by scholars and historians. Celise was interested in simply focusing on the present and the Living Force. This above all other reasons was why she returned. Her Lightsaber was outstretched in her hands as she done once before to Raztlain, as she offered it to him on the off chance that they elected to banish her for being the daughter of a man who had claimed to be Echuu Shinzon,(whatever the final facts were.) or even if for some reason there was mistrust. Where Ryuka tas Vorhn and later Echuu Shinzon had deigned to refuse to hear the Council, and percieved that they were infallible and correct, Celise had found only a prideful arrogance. Thus Celise saw the entire ordeal and its aftermath as a chance to learn and grow as a sentient. And so it was that she humbly submitted her case. The Lightsaber offering was a token of her trust in them as it had always been and also a sign of her submittal and respect for them as the Masters of the Jedi Order. As it had been said so well by Malius, the saber was a part of her being and thus it was another means by which she again showed that everything she had was wholly kept by the Jedi Order. In complete submittal, a lot of concepts of ownership and self decision which basic life forms would keep were discarded in favor of a different rationale founded in obedient service. She had no possessions of her own. She merely had tools she was granted to use by the Force, through the proxy of those who could feel it and rejected the Dark-side of the Force. The Jedi Order. She revered the Light.. true. But it wasnt fanaticism like her father, or a desire to judge the wicked in some assanine "Holy Crusade". But rather out of a desire to use her gift to protect those who did not have the gift from those who sought to abuse the gift. This principle included the surrender of her life if such would ever be needed. She was no pawn of the Council as a Sith would claim, or a indoctrinated zealot, but merely like them a living being who had decided of free will to be a disciple and servant of the Living Force. And that in turn dictated that she be bound by the same oaths they were to protect their charge, and provide service as all good Knights must. For Celise's tale in brief, it ran like this. She had defeated the strong and dangerous emotions that were attached with dealing with a percieved family member, and she had not relented to the strains and commands of the Dark-side despite it. And now she humbled herself before her colleagues and mentors. Was such was the level of humility that completing her training as a Jedi Redeemer had wrought? It appeared that was indeed the case. The circle was now complete. But the question lingered: What happened now?

| Malius was quiet, not understanding the true extent of what had just happened; though he found even his limited understanding would shake the core of his belief. So Havoc and Celise had a similar problem, an overture of emotions that threatened to control them. Perhaps they were more capable of solving each other’s problems then Malius had initially thought. Still, with an exhale of breath (and the rattle of scales that came with it) Malius remained silent, contemplating. “An interesting problem,” he stated after an increased silence, then turned his attention to Streen. “I would concur that Jedi Master Raztlain Alies is correct in the assumption that we should not place Jedi above the law of the New Republic. While we have extraordinary abilities, we cannot based the assumption that this places us above the law. Are we—as is the better question—to assume that the Jedi should police and prosecute ourselves? Do we therefore inform the New Republic that we have Havoc and do not intend to do anything other than rehabilitate him according to Jedi teachings? If so, then do we similarly refuse to hand him over to the New Republic should they want to prosecute him? Or do we simply omit the fact that Havoc is now within the Order and pretend the entire event has not occurred, at least to outside agencies? I ask, to what extent should the Jedi Order isolate itself, and to what extent are we an ‘arm of democracy’?” His eyes drifted towards Celise, “it is not the nature of this assembly to prosecute individuals simply of seeking out a finer affinity with the force based on an ordeal they had faced—which I will stipulate is the reason you left—but it does bother me that you felt it prudent to travel to Deralia yourself. Exactly what is the course of thought your ‘father’ had? And why have you concluded its ultimate failure? Dangerous are the words you speak—in dealing with an absolute, one must consider that the finite and linear path chosen is one not bent to the whims of the force (which changes constantly) but rather, to an individual attempting to force the Force. I would attest that such an assumption is a basis for the Sith. Why say you that Echuu Shinzon was doomed to failure?”

| Celise blinked somewhat confused by Malius statement. Taking a moment to address his questions, she was truthfully suprised that he was saying that she concluded its ultimate failure. Indeed it was he who had stated more accurately that the pride of believing one was too far in the Light too fall, crafted in one a fall of spectacular proportions. Celise had come to refer to that as the "Atris theory". "I believe we discussed this Master. Recall our discussion in the Library just prior to my departure on Echuunism and Nul-force? I was studying it in detail because Master Shinzon was a Jedi Redeemer, [although at the timeI was unaware of my.. connection.] and really aside from the Holocron of Ryuka Vorhn, the only connection we have with the Redeemer way." That Holocron and its lessons had been the entire reason she had been sensed so long ago, some seven years earlier and brought to the Praxeum for training. She had then been permitted by a then interested Skywalker to continue her studies as long as she paired it with a Padawanship from one of the Masters. Seraph had trained and tested her in the trials of Knighthood, and she had served with relatively solid marks since. Since Streen and Alies might need a refresher on the matter, Celise continued on. "Echuunism references in its pure form a Outkast, and that a Redeemer should.. actually hold a moment.. Computer would you run Echuunism, Article IV on Nuetrality followed by The Omega Principle?" THe computer whirred and activated before a clipped voice began to speak: IV. Neutrality as told by Echuu Shinzon. My master feared it, and so do I. To be neutral in the force is to allow the force to be destroyed. Ever Jedi inherently has the will and duty to protect the force; not only from others, but from itself. the darkside seeks to destroy the force, the lightside to become one with it, and the neutrality--the neutrality is the destruction. To be one with the force and seek it's destruction is to create a rift of harmony and chaos, and this rift would inevitably destroy the force. III. Omega Principle The Omega Principle is a simple stated: "Balance must be maintained". Many Jedi refuse to admit that we require the Sith, but the truth is we do. According to Echuuunism, both dark and light must exist, for there must constantly be struggle. A balance between dark and light must be maintained. However, saying such, one should understand that to offer fair game between light/dark is to offer the dark a chance to stab you in the back. Therefore, a Jedi must be vigilant and ever prepared for the inevitable war against darkness. This is where Redeemers and Guardians are of import. A sentinel is a well rounded figure who takes care of the average day to day business of the Jedi Order. A Guardian is a sword arm, and the might of the Jedi, dispatched to handle disputes that require "aggressive negotiations". A consular takes care of the Order itself, and politics. A redeemer is in charge of maintaining a balanced inbalance within the force, to ensure that the lightside always prevail. A outkast is in charge of the Omega Principle. To ensure that the Redeemer does his job, and that the Jedai, or Nul-Force, never come back. Returning to her train of thought, Celise continued her reasoning. "This is all well and good, but I truthfully think that this line of thought IS dangerous because by my understanding it is warping the role of the Redeemers into a sort of secret police force. Unless I wholly missed my mark in life, a Jedi Redeemer should be focused entirely on redeeming sentients, and not redeeming the Force itself. I do not follow Echuunism in its pure form, because there are many doctrines in it that I find to be extremely presumptious. I do not say this as a judgment, nor as a final conclusion, but my personal opinion. There is one point in the documents a segment that states that the Jedi and Sith need eachother." Pausing Celise continued on, folding her hands in front of herself and regarding all the masters with a calm but concerned voice. "I can think off the top of my head one very recent prophecy regarding such efforts to moderate the behaviors of, and seeing to the balancing the force. While I do not enjoy the prospect of bringing the matter up, I do feel if nothing else that the lessons of the past ought be heeded. This reminds me of Vader. Yes. Darth Vader. My heart warns me that if we do not heed the lessons of the past we may find ourselves the target of something worse than even Vader could of contrived." Celise looked at Malius. "Now. If you wish the reason I left alone.. I cannot offer evidence of a physical nature save one (which I will show shortly). I encountered the Force Spirit of Ryuka Vorhn, and when Master Skywalker returns I warrant he will corroborate my story as he stated he felt a "old presence" watching me also. In truth this was why I was permitted to train as a Redeemer to start. Master Ryuka.. she stated to me that Echuu was in danger. As he was a Jedi Master by my understanding, I knew that something needed to be enacted and to this day she has not once told a falsehood to me.. Though her style of presenting arguements and matters such as my connection to him.. leave something to be desired.." Clearing her throat Celise bit her lip and locked eyes with Raztlain. "Under a normal situation I would have contacted others as Master Alies himself would know. However I was informed while I waited for him in the hallways, that to delay would make the matter worse. So I left without my saber. Vorhn assured my that a standard Lightsaber would be useless against what Deimos would soon become. To fight the living Darkness, I would need a physical representation of the Light in the Force. It was Ryuka who instructed me in achieving the goal of going to Naboo and reclaiming the Solari Crystal from the grave of its last wielder, a Jedi Knight called Averre." Celise lifted up a plain, if not hastily made Lightsaber with a Bantha-hide grip. Igniting it a pearlescent blade of purest lavender white issued from it. A profound sense of kindness and good seemed to radiate from the blade. It was one of those moments in the Council chamber where bits of the Old Order's legends and tales truly did come to life.. And the story of the Solari Crystal went that it destroyed the Dark side only, and only a Jedi that was completely serious in his or her devotion to the Light could coax a blade from the Crystal. Deactivating the Lightsaber, Celise clipped it again to her belt and continued. "When I was on Naboo. My ship was scrapped for parts by Pirates, who I learned were under the command of Deimos to capture me. Again I do not know why this is, or what would of drawn them to me. I can only assume that this was the danger which Vorhn's spirit warned me of. Without a ship, I was forced to rely on a pair of smugglers who I gave 100 credits for passage. Their Captain is Force Sensitive.. perhaps a survivor of Order 66..(But more on this later.) Regardless, it was at that point, (with the Solari Crystal recovered) that my mission as I had intended it was over. I never intended to go to Deralia, Master Malius. That choice was taken out of my hands when the Pirates showed up in a battered Star Destroyer and said they would kill the crew. I brokered myself in a exchange for their safety and was taken on board. I then set about a escape and broke out of the brig. I still had my Lightsaber (newly constructed) mind you, as the smugglers helped me one final time to conceal it. Moving on.. It seems that apparently a Pirate cannot fly a Star Destroyer properly, as the NIO's ship the "ISD Gray Wolf" identified them as a false crew and boarded them. The NIO learned of my presence by searching the ship logs, and promised me safe passage to Deralia. Given that I could sense no deception from them, and really with no recourse I went along with it and to their credit was given as warm a reception as any of our order ever has garnered from the Republic. The NIO then followed standard protocols and went to Deralia. It was during this flight I spoke with Master Alies, updated him on the entire matter, gained counsel, and we rendevouzed." Celise gave a slight frown. "I truthfully wish I had remained with the Stormtrooper retinue. But I wanted to investigate the Deralian City, as shortly after landing I felt a presence on the planet which alerted me that I was not wholly out of danger yet. I followed the presence I felt and encountered a man who identified himself as Deimos. The same Deimos who supposedly if Master Alies is correct, corrupted his Padawan Gelu Torva." The memory was a difficult matter, but Celise doggedly pushed out the full tale again to the Council, and Varitek if he was still in the room. "Deimos said he'd sought me for a while, and that I ought surrender. His alternative was a Lightsaber in his hand and a promise of many casualties. So left with no recourse, and unwilling to run and endanger more. I confronted him as per my mandates as a Jedi. We fought with Lightsabers, and I held my own for a time. It was then that Deimos removed his mask and told me that he was Echuu Shinzon. I do not know if this claim was fact, but during our fight I found that he was extremely well trained in the Jedi Arts. He told me also that.. he was my father and that if I doubted it, then I should merely look inward and ask two questions of myself. Why the Holocron of the Redeemers reacted to my blood, and why also his old master would visit me..? Vorhn had trained me for a specific purpose I suppose. She wanted me to be her new pupil in order that I might redeem her old one, but the schutta did not mention once that the man I would try to redeem was my father. And then.." Raztlain knew Celise was employing every ounce of self control she possessed to remain calm and objective in her speech. She was succeeding, but at the same time the ordeal still was.. and no doubt would always be painful. Her voice quavered for a moment as she spoke. "..You know.. I think I understand how Master Skywalker felt on Bespin now when he had that business with Vader.. When I looked inward.. with the force. I wanted to deny it. Honestly.. I still want to. But I cant, you understand? I cant any more than I could stop breathing. He is my father. If only biologically.. I can feel it." Celise cast her gaze to the ground. "He.. said he wanted us to be a family. He wanted to know me, but he could not unless I stopped resisting and gave in to him. He.. I wont deny that for a moment.. yes I did consider it. I am not some graven image in the Court of the Thousand Fountains. I am entirely fallible, and I know that only too well. The allure the Dark side has is known to me very well.." Celise looked up again with the same clear gaze she had before. "But I did not follow it. For all its whispered promises I refused (and still do refuse to) to follow the Dark side of the Force. If such is to be Echuu Shinzon's fate, and I could not alter it.. I had only one recourse left to me, and I stand by that decision. It was then that I understood the perversion of his fall. I knew at that moment that the promise of family.. It was all a illusion that was crafted to cause me to fall. One taste. That is all it would of took. It was offered and I refused. Thus when he came for me.. I reacted and was ready for his attack. And my Lightsaber clove through his prosthetic right arm. The momentum sent Deimos over the edge of the catwalk we were on and with his left arm, he launched a coil of beskar cord which caught my right arm." Celise held up her prosthetic right arm and spoke slowly. "..I do not know how many of you have ever experienced the singular joy that is trying to support a well built man in full Battle armor, but for me it was extraordinarily painful. I could not haul Deimos onto the Catwalk and instead was fairely close to falling off myself. Deimos was boasting about how it looked like we would both die now. He remained uncowed and had decided that if it was his day to die. I would join him. ..So I amputated my own arm and left the matter as that. I assume from the loud crashes and fact that he has not returned in six months.. that he was slain by the fall. However, I may be mistaken in this regard. Zhyr's Senator was murdered last night. By a lightsaber no less. so I feel a investigation would be prudent. Especially given that THAT world was Vorhn's base of operations once." Celise fell silent on that note. "If.. its all the same. Thats really all that I can report on it. Thats everything that transpired.. and my leave of absence was taken because I wished to become better trained so that I would not dwell on it. So please do not ask me to more than that. It is.. painful."

| Raztlain sat silent throughout the entire exchange, and motionless save for leaning forward to receive Celise’s weapon once more. While Malius and Celise spoke he only stared at the saber, rolling it absently in his hands. Celise presented an interesting case, but this was not her trial nor did Alies feel that one was particularly in order for her. When words finally failed Celise, Raztlain finally looked up and spoke, but not to her. “An interesting problem indeed old friend,” he said gravely to Malius. “The Jedi are not above the Law, nor indeed are the Jedi the keepers of the Law and yet we are looked upon as such and both welcomed and shunned. It is a matter of great import that we deal delicately with the New Republic, for we cannot afford the mistakes of the past, or the prejudice whether good or ill. “What I feel…” he said distractedly. He, after all, had been left in charge of the Jedi Order by Grand Master Skywalker himself whilst Luke was wayward on some personal mission. It was now up to him to answer for the entire Order, though he and Malius kept more of a casual stance between them, taking care to weigh matters together rather than placing the whole load on Alies. Raztlain finally looked directly at Malius. “What I feel is that the Jedi should bear the responsibility of governing our own affairs. Yet, while we are not Protectors of the Law, we are, and indeed should be, Keepers of Justice. The question then goes like this: Do we belong, wholly, within or without the Republic to whom we have offered our services for thousands of years? Assuredly the New Republic prefers our aid, save for a few outspoken peoples, are we then, as asked by the Republic for aid, bound by the Republic by Law?” He shook his head and sighed. “The matter at hand is such that the Republic needn’t be involved so, whether in or out we must discipline Havoc.” Here he turned to Celise. “I asked your presence not to determine your fate young one, but rather to hear your council for I believe that you have it within yourself to answer wherein the wiser, perhaps, cannot. “I doubt not your renewed commitment to the Jedi, or your resolve to disrupt the Darkside whenever and however, for I have seen both with my eyes and mind your desire to serve only that which is Light. Forget not the lengthy conversations we had before your departure for assuredly your choice was made then, and indeed you have learned more since.” Here he paused and examined the weapon again for a moment before stretching out his hand towards her again. “Take that which is yours and be at peace.”

| Celise had indeed felt that she had been put on a impromptu trial, which had made her curious if there had been something new come to light in her absence. But after learning such was not the case and listening to Alies, she exhaled a very large sigh of relief. A part of her had been concerned how the news of her parentage would be taken, and a part of her reasoning for taking the break from service had been to attempt and distance herself from the emotions, while coming to terms with it. Malius had however shown her that they were still there, although she could function pragmatically now in need. Indeed she had not forgotten the long nights of discussion with Raztlain on the nature of the Force, as she trained and grew. They were one of the happier memories of her life, as Alies had always accepted her regardless of the situation. After the Empire and a life of fleeing from her past, such support and bonding had proven to be extremely important, if not crucial to her development as a Jedi Knight. But when Alies said that he was seeking "her Council and wisdom" she was suprised, and at the same time curious now. She had primarily sought their Counsel to bring up the matter of what, (If anything) ought be done on the matter of Zhyr and its deceased Senator. Ideally Celise wished to petition for a chance to investigate.. perhaps with stubborn Jace Varitek. This idea was primarily since she knew she would want someone who was entirely in opposition to the standard train of thoughts, and uninfluenced by previous events. ..Someone who also might see things she didnt. Recovering her Lightsaber from Raztlain and clipping the weapon to her belt, she took on her characteristic somber air, and shelfed the matter of Deralia where it belonged; in the past. Looking between the trio of Jedi Masters she spoke again finally. "Very well Master Alies. How can I assist the Council..?"

| The Jedi Knight met Celise's gaze with a hastened, if reluctant nod that revealed nothing in particular, however when he noted, belatedly, her mechanical arm (and later, heard her account of how it became so), he was keenly aware of a feeling, not of vainglory, but of concern. His own arm was still in a brace from his encounter with Havoc, yes, but it was not only empathy he felt for Celise, but something more. He disguised his feelings, as usual, but listening to her ordeal at the hands of Shinzon, and the pain it had caused her―physically, of course, but perhaps more so, emotionally―he also felt a growing animosity to this "Deimos," more than simply his prior suspicions of the man. It seemed somehow personal, though he could not explain how. But he forced the subject from his mind and returned to the moment, knowing that some inclinations―namely, his own―were sometimes better left alone. He retreated to the relative comfort of material, rational concerns, as he followed the conversation between Celise and the Council with a contemplative, furrowed brow and assumed his typical role as contrarian (especially with respect to the recording on Echuuunism, a philosophy much too speculative for Jace's taste). Foremost of his reservations was the notion of "destroying the Force," a concept he had encountered in his studies of the First Jedi Purge, but like much of ancient lore he had considered it to be mere parable, or metaphor. Surely it could not be possible to "destroy" the Force, after all? Was it not an energy field that bound all things, especially living things, together? Was life as known even possible "without" it? He did not voice his reservations, however, primarily because he did not want to distract from the Council's deliberations and its sentencing of Havoc, but also because he knew that some questions were beyond even the understanding of Masters as learned as Alies, Ky-Nomi, Streen and the others (but what of Celise's holocron?). But as long as the Council did not govern by such notions as Echuuunism, then Varitek was entirely content to confine his concerns to philosophy class, or more frequently, to his own, private meditations. If, meanwhile, it became necessary to investigate at Zhyr, he would be willing to do so, but only after he had found and confronted Darwin, who continued to weigh heavily on his mind.

| Malius smiled, but remained silent. It was the job of the Council to make a Jedi Knight question their every action, to determine and evaluate for themselves if what they did was the right path—to make them consider whether their actions were just, or if justification is all they aimed for. As Celise had answered the questions for Raztlain, Malius himself was silent; knowing full well that Jedi Master Raztlain Alies was the de factor Jedi Grand Master of the Order; despite how outspoken Malius himself was. “Zhyr is an interesting problem...” He glanced carefully at Jedi Master Raztlain Alies, “and I believe that Jedi Knight Celise Denowai and Jedi Knight Jace Varitek are the best equipped members of the Order at present to discover the true natures of what is going on at Zhyr. Why, namely, a lightsaber was used in the assassination of one former Senator Ardelia Moraine—or if such a saber is related to another task at which we have placed Jedi Knight Jace Varitek,” his eyes swept to Varitek. “I believe Jedi Knight Celise... Shinzon, should conduct the investigation on Zhyr—with the aid of Jace Varitek at least temporarily to confer and find any information as to former Jedi Darwin Sky. Should the events of Zhyr not be linked to former Jedi Darwin Sky, then your mandate Jedi Knight Jace Varitek, is to continue the investigation as you were granted earlier, and keep the council appraised.” His gaze shifted to Celise. “You, Jedi Knight Celise Shinzon will continue the investigation of Zhyr and see what you can uncover about this assailant, as well as possibly bringing him to justice. As always, you must keep the council appraised. It is with a heavy heart that I must divide two Jedi between two tasks, since two work better than one—but we are few, and we must uncover the mystery behind these killings,” he looked at Jace, “and failings.” “I believe that is everything that needs to be discussed... The matter of Jedi Knight Havoc is now before the Council,” he looked at Raztlain, “and is something the Council should deliberate on its own...”

| “So few, so few,” Alies muttered, his voice boarding on sadness. He had purposed before and purposed again now to redouble the recruitment efforts of the Jedi in whatever manner he was best able. “But I concur with the Jedi Master Malius Ki-Nomi…almost. Before you depart Jedi Knight Denowi, I would ask of you one thing. “You know Havoc, and his temperament; is redemption possible for such an one?” Raztlain knew that Malius did not agree with him on this matter, but still it was something that he felt needed done. His reasoning was between himself and Celise; it was the same reasoning that stopped him from running after Gelu. “On the second note, We have amongst our limited numbers a young Knight who was under the tutelage of Jedi Master Karth Darksailor prior to Darksailor’s disappearance, since then he has become reclusive and I fear that this training may fall by the wayside. I feel it necessary to begin to reintegrate him with others of his stature for he has yet to partake in any mission of real interest. Perhaps this is the time to allow him an opportunity to go and observe. Once the mission to Zhyr is completed he will be free to return unless otherwise appointed to travel with one of you.”

| Celise paused and thought critically on the matter. Could Havoc be redeemed? What was the level of his fall? For one must remember that the first stone in any battle of wills, such as the process of freeing someone from the Dark side was knowledge. Understanding of what had driven them to it. Then it became a matter of learning what the Dark side gave in return for its presence. Nuetralize those and you could free anyone.. with time. There were of course cases where a person refused entirely to give the power up, or simply embraced the Dark side out of a preference and inclination to evil, but these were rare cases and the entire training retinue Vorhn had been built around the elimination of those rare cases. By understanding the thinking of a person enslaved by the Dark side, Celise had gained a small degree of precognance when battling it, akin to Windu's super conductive loop theory in Lightsabers. Thus Celise reasoned that a trip to Zhyr would confirm or discourage whether her father was alive. Celise still had not given up entire hope on him, and reasoned mentally that her desire for his affection had been the point in the last confrontation where she erred. The strongest emotion Celise indeed had was a hope that he might be alive, so that she could try to save him as he truly did deserve. She never would admit it to the Council, but she did love him despite the loss of her arm, and while she had a grim resolve that she wouldnt turn.. she had to know what was going through his head. That was the first step.. "Redeem Havoc..? It would seem to me that the start of it has begun. He could of attacked any of you in this very chamber while he had his Lightsaber. Yet he showed restraint and it felt to me like a sadness.. I know for a fact that Havoc is unorthodox.. more than many Jedi to be sure.. But it is his passion he relies on as he is so fiercely devoted to his duties. He does not want to fail and in that fear of falling.. he did." Celise shrugged and continued. "We could tell him this and all the lessons and ruminitions of Master Yoda on the Dark side until the Core implodes, and he wouldnt pay heed. Why? I do not know.. yet. It may be he dislikes authority because of the Empire. It may be his style. Its irrelevant however as it has caused strife between him and Varitek, and he almost attacked his friend. This in addition to the fact that he killed many. The deaths I could understand, but he desecrated them also., Correct Varitek?" Celise looked briefly to Jace before taking a deep breath. A older woman's voice seemed to drift faintly at the edge of her senses as Celise strove to find the best wording of the matter. ~Get used to this... Your the only one they have in this field.~ "You ask me if he can be redeemed. I say yes. I feel there is still good in him, although how much I have yet to ascertain. For that reason alone, I would advise that we stay our hand and work to aid him. I say this because it is what I would hope for, from other Jedi; were the situations reversed. What Havoc deals with is a symptom of a larger problem. It is a dance every single one of us faces at one time or another in training and duty. If we say "to hell with him" today, where will we find him tommorow if he's cast out? Is it a crime if through non commitance we give him the rage that he needs to become another Durron fiasco? Such might be fair for the average sentients..who would hold him alone accountable, but we are not average sentients.. We are Jedi. Thus we must hold ourselves and judge our own by a gentler, and also stricter set of rules. If it pleases the Council, I would like to talk with him before Jace and I depart. Maybe I can learn more of his situation and through it, the reason he fell. Thats the first step in my personal estimate Master Alies." Pausing, she considered the other part of the Havoc issue. The Holocron of her father. "There is also the fact that he has some familiarity with my father and used "his" Holocron. He may be receptive if "I" spoke with him." Celise didnt need to say the other reason, as it was obvious. Havoc had the Shinzon Holocron according to his testimony and Celise desired to see it. She wanted to be able to understand who Echuu was before he became Deimos, as this would help her bolster her own defenses better, so that she would be able to confront him again if needed. The talk then shifted to Darksailor's protege. A faint concern rose in her along with protest mentally. Celise was concerned Zhyr might be dangerous, and a young Knight coming was worrisome at best. Then there was the foul luck she had of a Sith Lord for a father, and his redeemed master often harassing her in private moments.. such as during a Council meeting. Celise thinks to herself, ~"I dont do well with Padawans.. If something happens--"~ The elder woman replied wryly in her mind. ~"..Sounds familiar."~ Celise nonetheless shelfed this concern and the nagging voice that saw fit to ever be her personal problem child, bowing to Alies and the rest of the Council she spoke. "It will be so Masters."
