A scribe noted behind Kruus 'your shut your trap before I push you off the cliff...'

"This is quite an inneficient way to access your weapon system" Kruus observed, quite unphased by the whole thing, his aides, having been very close around him being also on the platform.

Turning back to the group, Exar nodded. "S-H-U-T Y-O-U-R T-R-A-P." He begun to spell out for them, smirking some. "Incase anyone's taking notes and plan to present this to the New Republic as slander, because don't forget." He pointed to the militiamen. "They are carrying cameras, so I have my own evidence." He wouldn't disclose where they were. And as the steps came to a hault, there it was. The turbolaser. Exar turned to Kruus. "This isn't Neimoidia... N-E-I-M-O-I-D-I-A" He spelt out in a mocking manner. Having Kruus here was already a hinderance and a bother, but whatever was needed to get him off the planet.

Presently seated in the consuls, were the various members of the Militia themselves. All they were doing was typing in numbers and checking system levels and what not. There were also engineers conducting checks on the weapons and ensuring they were all set. "This way, Senator." Exar motioned, pointing towards a flight of stairs leading downward. He begun to walk them, as the militiamembers would follow behind everyone.

The scribe looked up, apparently unphased by Ray, and continued to take notes 'Why would we be taking notes for Slander? I feel we already have evidence on some far more... in depth charges, including one could say filming an economics committee invesitgation without their consent and threatening its chairman' Kruus said calmly, waving a pair of technical aides forward to examine the weapon in detail, the slightly malnourished Neimoidians scuttling forward to examine the consoles and the weapon itself 'Check for a manufacturers seal, I want to find out which company made them.' he spoke harshly to the drones.

He left his pair of Neimoidians petulantly examining the weapon as he followed exar down the stairs ‘So explain this to me, you have at last count… 490 vehicles, three planetary weapons and 400 soldiers… do you not see somewhat of a discrepancy? If operating with ideal numbers, you must have atleast 127 soldiers manning your turbolasers at all times, if you times this by two to assure two shifts so your men can actually sleep this works out as 254. This does not make good sense, that leaves you with 146 men to work with as infantrymen and to police or whatever else they do, is it not criminal that you provide at most, 146 men to patrol your world (half of which would be off duty), even as a police force this is woefully inadequate, and as a military a joke. You are utterly dependant on the New Republic on the ground. What if the New Republic had to redeploy its forces elsewhere? And if the Empire attacked and broke your orbital defenses? The battle would be over in minutes. You have wantonly wasted your planets money on a huge number of armoured vehicles you cant crew, perhaps these funds should be redirected towards actually recruiting enough men to use the hardware you have. This all amounts to your planetary rule being as incompetant as your Senate actions of late.’

The NRI attatche followed the Neimoidians as they walked around examining things, Blount staying close to Kruus.

All over the planet, at the facilities listed in the information earlier where investigation members landed, Neimoidians approached the gates, each lead by an economics committee junior member in order to investigate, demanding entry to all.

"Here is the turbolaser Senator." Exar watched as Kruus took his time.

At the bases, with an apparent lack of resistance the Economics committe parties entered all the Dantooine Militia bases and storage depots, examining the weapons and vehicles stored within, confirming numbers, etc.

All over the world Kruus had assured free delicacies and Neimoidian fungus were handed out as gifts to the people, part of the goodwill element of the mission, the Human representatives moving around wearing Neimoidian and New Republic Heraldry.

Also notably it was around this time several offworld cantinas were eventually opened in the capital city and also out in smaller towns, selling glitterstim, giggledust, ryll spice and booster blue to the local population at a locally affordable price, suggesting it as a luxury product for the local population to spend their disaster relief money on. This too would be noted by committee members.

"Onto the next turbolaser then!" chortled Kruus after their work was finished checking that one over "An unremarkable specemine, I dont know how you could forget something you use half your militia crewing Senator Ray, seems implausible."

The Economics teams finished their operations checking every weapon and man against the dantooine lists before returning to the Hardcell in orbit.

The Economics Committee took samples from each drug cantina for evidence.

Senator Ray would watch as they inspected the weapons, hoping Kruus would hurry up so he could attend to other important matters. The farmers and such would take the free delicacies from Neimoidia. As for the cantinas that would open, Khoonda Agents would inquire about their papers.

In light of the recent findings among members of the Board of Trustee's, the InterGalactic Mining Core reversed the current policy of protecting the private property clause that it had with the Khoonda Administration. Previously, the commission would have required a separate warrant to search IMC property--which they could have gained either through the Khoonda Administration or the Chair of the Senate. However, in a sudden and generous gesture of good faith and cooperation, the InterGalactic Mining Core would allow the delegation to freely view all of it's facilities on Dantooine; offering ice cream (of the unfortunate Neopolitan flavour) and tours of the facilities.

The Senator had excused himself while the Council inspected the turbolaser assembly, deciding that he had more important things to do than to chaperone Kruus's "whimsical escapade," though Ray himself likely would have phrased it in harsher terms. His aide, a long retired militiaman named Wilfred Clemens, who had since gone on to liase between the militia and the Senator, introduced himself to Kruus with as much courtesy as was required, but no more.

Clemens would lead the Council members back out the way they came, where the fleet of speeders was ready to shuttle them to the next emplacement. It was a long drive (the weapons had been placed for maximum effect, which often meant they were far distant from each other), and the grey haired Clemens made pleasant conversation with Kruus or any of his staff willing to listen, on the history of Dantooine, its flora and fauna, its recent history of Imperial assaults, and the progress of the recovery from the most recent of them. He disapproved of the investigation as much as most Dantooinians, but went about his job nonetheless without complaint, remaining cordial even with the more inconsiderate members of the Council.

Eventually the repulsorcade would come upon the first of the IMC foundries in which was housed, in this case, another planetary turbolaser (the ion cannon being next on the itinerary). The IMC proved to be most accomodating, and both Clemens and the plant's foreman explained the dynamic of the retractable ceiling, though whether the facility would accomodate a demonstration was up to the IMC. The convoy would proceed to the next weapon as soon as Kruus, the NRI, and their respective staffs were finished.

The repulsorcade eventually continued on to the next installation, only this time with a generous helping of the IMC's complimentary ice cream, which tne Neimoidians found unpleasant but Clemens, a man of simple tastes, rather enjoyed. The tour of the second IMC foundry an hour later, and the planetary ion cannon within, went much as the first had; satisfactory, and without incident. When the tour was finished, rather than driving back Clemens had arranged a shuttle to ferry the Council, Blount, and their respective staffs back to the capital, where undoubtedly their own transports would be waiting.

Clemens felt the need to offer lodging the Council and NRI members at his estate, on the edge of the city, but was politely refused and, with a shake of hands, Kruus and his people would depart Dantooine for the Hardcell in orbit. Within the hour, the Council would have left the system and the investigation would be finished. Clemens, tired from a long day of driving, made certain to congratulate the Khoonda militiamen for their work and file a diligent report to Senator Ray, before showering (to rid himself of the smell of Neimoidian), and retiring for the night.
