The lone T-Wing interceptor was inside the bright, blue tunnel known as hyperspace. In most cases, a Jedi would go into a mediation state when en route on a long trip. However, that was not the case with Jaden. He was merely taking a nap, going into a deep trance of the dreamland. It was merely a flashback of his brief stint as a pirate in the early teenager years. Yes, he may be little bit young to be a pirate but his father had vouched for him to be involved. His mother was against it, but Jaden wanted to be involved and ended up joining. Anyway, he was dreaming about the day that his father was killed when they were on the smuggling run in the Outer Rim. When they were ready to leave Bothawui, a Victory-class star destroyer popped in and began shooting at his friends. They deployed the TIE interceptors as well, which was picking T-Wings one by one. He was using the very same T-Wing, flying behind his father in his own T-wing. It was when a TIE interceptor used a concussion missile and detroyed the fighter with his father in it. It was so close by that his T-Wing was shaking due to the effects of the explosion.

Jaden would wake up with a gasp. It was followed by a sigh of relief, it was really his intercepter that was shaking for one short moment. He looked around, and he was still in hyperspace. "Stupid ship." He muttered to himself, using his left hand as a fist and pounded on the wall beneath the window to the left lightly. Yes, this ship is about ten years old and it is not really a reliable ship due to the lack of strong shielding and the limit of maneuverability. Don't forget that he has been using it for ten years, minor problems has been appearing over the years. Thankfully, before he discovered the Jedi, he has developed the skills of a pilot and a mechanic. It would be proven useful over past ten years. However, Jaden knew he needed to get a new ship as soon as possible. He has been going to places like Naboo and Corellia to do some temporary jobs from time to time to earn some money in purchasing a new ship but he still has a long way to go due to time-consuming duty as a Jedi. Jaden knew that buying a new ship isn't exactly a top priority until the ship itself completely falls apart and couldn't be used at all. That could take a while, so as long as he keeps his flights in the future peaceful he would be comfortable flying the T-Wing interceptor.

The Jedi Knight would sigh, he was nervous because he's doing his first assignment as a Knight. He was nervous because he was not sure if the Jedi Council appreciated him speaking out of turn. But most of all, he was nervous because going to Mon Calamari to resolve the crisis with the Amphi-Hydrus is kind of new to him. Besides that, there has been a long, bitter feud between the people of Mon Calamari and the people of Quarren. This is something he knew he would have to handle delicately. He represent the Jedi Order, he will have to treat everyone on the planet equally. Jaden shook his head, trying to snap out of it. There is no reason for him to be nervous, the force will guide him. "Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy." The Jedi Knight would recite the first line of the Jedi Code within the New Jedi Order. For some strange reasons, it seems to calm him down whenever he recite this. After a long moment of thinking and speaking to himself little bit, a sound broke out. It was a beeping, indicating that he has arrived into the system.

Jaden would, once again, let out a sigh. He pressed the shift button backwards, letting the T-Wing interceptor drop out of hyperspace. The speed reduced to slow, cruising speed. The Jedi Knight punched another button, which opened the frequency to contact the Mon Calamari Naval Defense Group. Jaden cleared his throat before speaking, "This is Jedi Knight Jaden Emmangan. I have been sent by the Jedi Order to help in the crisis relating to the Amphi-Hydrus. I was told that Captain Tian was waiting for my arrival."

The Jedi waited for someone to answer to his call.

«... ridiculous. How many more vessels do we have to sacrifice before we deem it not necessary to protect the Quarrens?... »

Captain Tian was a blue skinned fish of the Mon Calamari race. Bred in the waters, and firmly against space travel, she had remained on the planet despite generations of members of her bloodline having been excellent fighter pilots during the Civil War. Still grimly determined to serve Dac to the best of her ability, she felt like she was being belittled by being stuck with such a useless task—defending Quarrens.

«... We have reports from the outer beacons of a vessel broadcasting from the Jedi ma’am. He’s requesting landing clearance... »

«... Is he human? He probably needs air... »

«... Confirmed human ma’am. He’s being sent to the Broadan Landing Strip, Platform C... »

«... Very well, have a scubacraft pick him up from Platform C and bring him to central command. I’ll give him a tour of the facility before I take him to the Alopia rift. I’m still confused how someone who can’t even breath underwater is going to fight the Amphi-Hydrus...but the Jedi have never been wrong before... » With a sigh, Captain Tian removed herself from Ops, and proceeded to the nearest Repulsorlift, taking it to her apartment where she could freshen up in the aquatank before having to meet with the Jedi. Already her scales felt too dry, and she cursed having to come topside whenever she did. Still, official business was official business. Suddenly, the lift lost power, but was stopped by the water that filled the outermost portion of the tube. Angrily, she snatched at her commlink, getting a direct link to Ops. «...Report!... »

«... Mining Vat Four just exploded, we have Quarren survivors on the commlink right now asking for emergency personnel... »

«... Update the Jedi, let him know we’ve had another attack and we’re busy right now so he’s to come to the Ops centre right away. Someone get power back on! I need to get to control... »

The Jedi Knight was waiting inside his T-Wing in the empty space in front of the planet that Quarren and Mon Calamari infamously resides. It only took him a few minute of waiting before receiving a message from one of the Naval Group. They were instructing him to go to Platform C. "Knight Emmangan out." That was all he said before cutting off the radiotransmitter. He would speed the ship up little, so that he would be able to assist in dealing with the Amphi-Hydrus right away.

After moments of descending the ship into the atmosphere of the watery planet, he finally had the T-Wing landed onto the Platform C. There he revved the engines down, punching a button to have the cockpit window/door open. He would slowly get out of the fighter and climb down the ladder, he was wearing an usual Knight robe to that of the old Jedi Order in the waning days of the Old Republic. He had decided to mesh traditional with modern, this way he would be able to signify that he is able to do his duty as a Jedi, Old or New.

There was a Mon Calamari standing by apparently to greet him, he would walk up to the humanoid. Jaden had never been to Mon Calamari before, but he always did what he does before every assignments...well, this is his first one as a Knight and first one alone. Anyway, he always research on the designated planet before each assignment. This way, he would always be prepared as humanly possible. He had brought an A99 aquata breather, this would help him breathe in the water. It is uncommon for the current Jedi to have a force power called Breath Control. Even the Old Jedi doesn't have much Jedi that knew how to utilize this. Perhaps he could breathe in water little longer than those non force sensitives, but it still won't be for long.

It seems now that he would wait for the Mon Calamari to guide him to whatever lays ahead for him...

«... Greetings Jedi Emmangan, I have been authorized to immediately bring you to command central—we are incredibly busy so you would be most kind and step into the scubcraft, I believe haste is of the essence ... »

Wasting little or no time, the Mon Calamari that had been working as liaison between Captain Tian and the Jedi would turn on his multijointed feet and proceed back into the craft that he had recently departed from. Once the two were inside, the hatch would seal itself and decompress the primary tubes to take in water, and sink the craft. The trip took less than five minutes.

When the craft surfaced within the central compound and the hatch finally popped open the Jedi would be met with the sound of cries and shouts as officers and workers alike were shouting statistics back and forth. Damage response teams were being assembled to quickly oversee the retrieval of the injured, and most of the Alopian Defense Police were already in the water, waiting the medics so they could get underway.

While distracting, the liaison would politely clear his throat and motion for the good Jedi to follow him a second time. They took the hall to the left, proceeding up and around it’s turn to the repulsorlift which would take then to Operations (Ops). Captain Tian was waiting at the forward terminal by that time. It was a circular platform that was displaying a 3-dimensional view of the rift; several points on the eastern side of the map were blinking red, an additional five points on the left were still green.

“You must be the Jedi,” Captain Tian was often precise, but it was evident by the slight slur in her voice that speaking Basic was difficult for her. Nonetheless, it appeared that the Jedi had forgotten to bring a translator droid, and so the good Captain would have to speak the universal trade language. “I’m Captain Tian of the Mon Calamar Sea-Naval Defense Force. You’re in Operations at the moment. Ordinarily I run a tight ship, but with the recent attacks we have little to no personnel available so the stations in a bit of disarray. I apologize.” She turned her back on the Jedi, indicating the display screen in front of her, “would you like a briefing Master Jedi?”

The Jedi Knight would simply nod at the Mon Calamari, following him into the scubacraft. Jaden would simply sit down, having the portable aqua breather within his robes. The Mon Calamari wouldn't recognize it until he was sitting down. Perhaps that would answer the natives of this planet without having to ask the Jedi a question. He had heard a hissing from the hatch that were closing on to them, it was obviously they were going underwater whether they would tell him or not. This is a planet of water, and he would need to learn on helping them within water. He was okay with it, he looked it as a challenge, not an inconvenience.

Afterall, it might be a good time to establish relations with people of Dac, whether it is Mon Calamari or Quarren. This is his first mission as a Knight, and he would need to do well in order to help the Jedi Order's reputation that has been damaged some recently by a rogue Jedi. Well, that and it would help him in the long run. If he is able to make some friends outside the Order, he would be able to receive help when he needs it. As of now, he needn't worry about that but he needs to worry about solving the problems the planet is having right now that is caused by Amphi-Hydrus fellows.

Once he and the liaison reached the station, and the hatch popped open. He would be the first one to get off, waiting for the liaison to guide him around. He heard a lot of shouting, something about damage reports and medical stuffs. The Jedi knew something had happened while his trip to the station. He simply nod to the liaison, and simply followed him into the hall, and then to the repulsorlift.

They had reached the forward terminal, and saw that a Mon Calamari was there to introduce herself. He could see that it was little difficult for the captain to speak in Basic. "Yes, I am more than wiling to lend a hand on anything you need around the station if you need to." The Jedi then looked at a display screen in front of Captain Tian, "Yes, please do. I would like to get briefed as soon as possible. That, and any information you have on this conflict would be useful for me."
