Teachings for the New Sith Order

The galaxy is ever-changing. When I slept, the galaxy was different. It was a concrete place where the Rule of Two still stood in some ways, and the conflict between the Jedi and the Sith was locked in balance. What they had in numbers, we had in stealth. Where they could walk freely and influence, we hid and turned more hands against them. Since the times when Darth Bane in his great wisdom instituted this policy, the most die-hard followers of this rule have relatively remained close to what was laid down in ages past.

In this period of which I find myself now, things have changes. There is no clear-cut Rule that marks the line between Jedi and Sith. In truth, I fear nearly all have forgotten the true Path of the Sith. It is a shame, but, like the Jedi of the Old Republic of my origin, we must let go of outdated principles lest we fall by the wayside and are no more. Despite my misgivings, I will keep to the Rule of Two, yet it cannot be exact as it once was. Time no longer allows for such things, and if I am to match what the Jedi have become, I must smelt cold steel with a fiery hammer and hope for the best, though there is little hope to be had.

I. Peace is a lie, there is only passion

What is the dark side of the Force? Is it an inherently evil gathering of energy, balanced by an inherently good gathering of energy? Is it perhaps the opposites of Order and Chaos, always at work within the universe down to the very way a sun pulls the planets in gravitational alignment? Or is it the truth inside each and every person, based upon their free will and actions that shape who they are? Passion is said to rule reason, yet it is also said that the only sovereign that can be allowed to rule a sentient is reason. Peace is the absence of all passion. Therefore, only passion will let us rise above all others.

---

II. Through passion, I gain strength

When emotions are let loose, any sentient is capable of amazing feats. When a mother sees a repulsor car atop her trapped younglings, her anger and fear give her the strength to lift that car alone and save her offspring. Peace and tranquility offer a focusing point, but there is no focus stronger than anger, save fear. Fear burns cold and eats the heart. Turn fear into anger, for it is no weakness to have. A man without fear could never be a Sith, for it is at the core of our passions that we gain the power to do everything.

---

III. Through strength, I gain power

Strength is quite different from power, though many believe otherwise. Strength and will can be synonymous in this regard, for without true strength, without will, no sentient can push forward and learn and drive to gain true power. What is power then? Is it the ability to change oneself? Or is it the ability to influence others or the very Force about the galaxy? Power is different to every being, Jedi and Sith alike, yet we share the same common tenets of belief in some ways. To one, power flows from without to inwards. To the other, power must come from within. This is where the Jedi are mistaken and the Sith are correct. True strength must come from inside oneself. This means that only real, true power can come from mastering whatever one undertakes, be it forms of the lightsaber or work through the Force.

---

IV. Through power, I gain victory

That which allows mastery of all things will grant the studious being the key to unlocking all that might be. To be worthy of victory, you must deserve it. The real and true power that is unlocked within oneself will be the key that prevents the lock of mediocrity and failure from dragging one down into death and loss. Without the power that comes in turn from having strength, there can be no resolution, no victory. There can only be loss. This is why the Jedi were purged from the Old Republic. They lacked the power to stand against all that had been arrayed against them. This is why the Sith have all but faded from the galaxy; they lacked the power to continue and hold their victory secure. They grew lax and died for their transgression against the Sith Code.

---

V. Through victory, my chains are broken

No chain can hold a victorious sentient. The being who is master of himself, master of all, who has the strength and power to achieve all victory, cannot be held back by anything. The chains of law and morality, created by the corrupt and common man, cannot be placed around the neck of such a sentient. Even death cannot bar the path of the true victor, for such a being transcends the very laws, morals and even the concept of death itself. Such true beings have rarely been found in the annals of history. The Jedi teach that to become one with the Force is the ultimate attainable possibility, but they are wrong. There are steps further still, and any sentient who strives for less is not worthy of attempting the Path of the Sith.

---

VI. The Force shall free me

The true paradox of the Sith Code lies at this very stanza. To be master of all, to be true master of the Force, the transcendent Sith must actually destroy the Force in its entirety, thus proving mastery of all. Yet, within this complex riddle lies the question: if one wishes to be master of all and rise above the Force, how does one destroy the Force while remaining alive to savor this power? It is a riddle I have yet to understand, but it is the very basis of this New Sith Order; a quest for knowledge. This ties back into strength, for there is strength in knowledge and knowledge is power; thus, strength is power. The Force can only set one free by mastery of it. Surrendering to the Force will only result in failing to achieve that last true pinnacle of power that awaits out of reach yet can be seen as a glimmer in the corner of one's eye.

---

VII. The New Sith Order

To the ends above and remaining true as possible to the tenets laid down in the Sith Code, I can take only one true apprentice at my side. He must be a visionary as I am, for the galaxy is full of those who bend the Force to their own ends without truly understanding the gift they have been granted. Why should lightning from one's hands be the ultimate that one can achieve? Why should physical, base work such as a choke or a crush be all that can be attained? Darth Nihilus of old was capable of consuming entire planets with his will through the Force, yet even he lacked the means and will to take that final step. It is my belief that to master the Force, one must become the Force, sealing oneself in with everything at once, locking it within one's control and thereby being master of all. It is to this end that I work. It is to this end that the New Sith Order will work. By my hand to the eyes of whoever reads this, know that this is out true goal.
