After some very interesting talks with Marcus Ordo which ended relatively well Zuthus finally had returned home. The incident at Conchord Dawn was by this time completely out of Zuthus's head. The weight of guilt was lifting off his shoulders and the vitality to his limbs was returning to him bring forth his statuesque physique that was admired through out the region of Norg Bral especially his wife.

Once returned to Norg Bral Zuthus got back into his daily routine as a family man and an upstanding citizen. Though Norg Bral in known for it's superior training each citizens is expected to help tend the herds, crops and vineyards along with the few droids the clans own as well as the slaves, though they were only required to do so once a week if in training, twice once training was over and 3 times when in reserves. And Bralor was no exception. To leaders through out the galaxy the life that Bralor lead was unnervingly humble for the man that supposedly controlled the most powerful race of soldiers in existence.

Everyday he tended the vineyards he would wake up at dawn pack his equipment and run down the slopes into the Valley. There he would make an offering to the gods of morning and fertility. He would then work from the morning to the late afternoon heading home.

On the days that he didn't tend to the fields he oversaw the training drills of the children and the youthful. There he would monitor their progress in the arts of war. His favorite drills were the 200 and 500 meters sprints designed to get the soldiers ready for charges as well as give them the ability to muster massive amounts of strength in a short amount of time. And of course hand to hand and melee weapons combat something Bralor exceeded in as well. In melee the traditional Beskad was used along with a wooden shield covered in Beskar. At least in the old days about 40 years ago before Bralor was born the clans of Norg Bral adopted an aspis shield generator an expensive piece of equipment but never the less much lighter and more versatile then it's predecesor. This weapon combination made slashing techniques a little harder to be effective so the Bralor beskad was forged to be decent at stabbing over and under the aspis into the opponent. Zuthus spent much time in the gymnasiums teaching children the proper forms of exercise and showing them the basics of wrestling, submission, death blows, and striking. For those in their teenage years of life whose maturity was as such that they began to show there specialties Bralor focused on tailoring there exercises for their specialties working with them to increase their strengths and managing thier weaknesses. He was very heavily involved in the growth of many children into soldiers and like his fellow clans members became a parental figure to many Bralor himself having experienced the same guidance.

On one such day while Bralor tended to the Nerf Herds and Mesa Goat herds (a job that was more simple then killing a mouse) he called forth a meeting of his top comrades and leaders of the Clans together. High on top of the mountains in the mineral rich spring fed fields under the bright and beautiful Mandalorian sun.

"I have called you here today to discuss the matters of politics and of the Beskar that has been stolen from us." started Bralor.

"What of the matter of politics my love?" asked Isko.

"I think it has come time to ally ourselves with the Republic. Though they may have been our enemies in the past they certainly can be our friends now."

"And what makes you so certain? If I may inquire with you Mand'alor?" ask Clearcus of the regions north of Norg Bral belonging to the Glasicori clan a strong clan like the Bralors.

"Despite being a powerful force my good Clearcus they lack the resources necessary to directly confront us on any disagreements that we may have. Especially those disagreements that are to surely rise once we reestablish our empire. Though I must say it's key that we focus on the holdings of the Imperials first before we establish any motives on Republic planets."

"And how will we get those planets we've long since conquered my dear?" Isko asked more out of the benefit of the fellow Mando'ade then for her own knowledge.

"We will aquire them as much through negotiation as possible. Since the Republic often bickers among themselves it's likely their biggest concern will be the way we treat those inhabitants as opposed to being concerned with there acquisition in our Empire. I want to avoid a conflict of guns with the Republic so we do need to be on our best behavior with them. Despite the fact I know many of you would rather see the Republic collapse upon themselves." stated Zuthus.

He went on.

"I will announce to their senate the intentions of this Empire I will not inform them of the planets which is in Republic possession that we will take however they should be pleased or at least apathetic to the planets we will acquire from the Empire. I'm confident they will appreciate our candor and my desire to create an alliance with them."

"Now before any of you dismiss this idea I would like to remind you that my plan is to spread our influence and way of life through out the galaxy. In allying ourselves to the Republic we open the gate for Mandalorians slowly making colonies and communities through out the Republic. Becoming allies will give use the opportunity to even set up academies of our own through the Republic so that we can recruit more members into our culture. I know that this will be true for one fact. Many people of the Republic are still enraged with the Empire many are seeking revenge and if we provide them with the means and they their allegiance we can swell the ranks of our people by the millions."

"You have a point there good Zuthus." said Kalif of the Skirata clan. And all the Major leaders stood in agreeance and none objected as many already knew this was the plan and still is.

"As for the unrefined Beskar Zuthus what news do you have for us?" another clan leadered asked.

"So far our scouts have found that the planet Wayland is one of many former Imperial planets that may contain our Beskar this cannot be proven though for it is going to require some military force to proceed with further investigation. Wayland natives are not the friendliest of creatures."

And with that Bralor ended the meeting.

"Wayland will be difficult," Ordo said, rejoining the meeting with the bloody hide of a kath hound slung over his shoulder. The hound had been seen stalking the herds a few moments earlier, and shot without interruption to the meeting. Marcus had volunteered to finish the animal and skin it with his bowie knife, which he did a few meters removed from the meeting, but still within earshot. Now his hands were red, having scattered the hound's organs for the vultures to more quickly dispose of. He handed one of its horns to Bralor, keeping the other one slung in his own belt. "The Republic is there," he continued. "Its researchers and operatives are there, even its refugees."

"I agree that we must have what is ours, but if you're seeking to avoid a fight with the Republic, you may wish to speak with them before Wayland. Let us hope that they appreciate your candor as much as you suspect."

"I believe your sentiments today are wise, Mand'alor, but there is another concern that I have," he added, glancing between the assembled leaders. "'Recruiting more members into our culture'? 'Swell our ranks by the millions'? I know I'm not the only man here who is wary of assimilation. After all, our cultural identity―not just our numbers―is what makes us strong, as a people. I would feel more comfortable with this plan if we have some standards for these... aruetiis. Clan Ordo will work with you on this, but we must have standards for who can join us, and which clan, and so on."

"But first thing's first. Will you be needing my soldiers or ships for Wayland?"

Taking the Kath hound horn Zuthus then thanked Ordo for his words.

"I'm grateful for your sound advice as always. This will be me on my agenda when I apply for an alliance with the Republic as it will be one of my most pressing issues to discuss with them on top of trade agreements and recognition of our nation's independence. I cannot stress enough to the Republic that what is ours is ours and they as a just nation cannot take what is ours."

"To address your comment on the aruetiis I stand in agreement. Standards are important to the Mandalorian way of life. Unfortunately standards have been lacking through out the clans except for present company excluded. However I do have good news. In these months after setting up Aruetiis throughout our own holdings many students have made progress in the schools and our showing greater promise as Mando'ade as I am told they are already better then Republic soldiers in many areas. Our job now as the leaders of our nation is to provide them with the means to test their merit."

"I believe however that if we keep the standards for our aruetiis here the same as out there." Bralor said pointing to the stars. "Then we will certainly grow and prosper."

"Is there anything else anyone wishes to discuss before I end this meeting?"

He joined the conversation, hearing what had occured thus far from afar. "My apologies for being late, and for the lack of gift. Unfortunatly, the current state of things had left us with next to nothing aside from what is on our backs or in our homes within Clan Mereel. I do however, give you this bottle of wine from my personal vineyard, as a gift to you Mandalore, in honor of all you have done for my people, and to unite Concord Dawn once more." he said to Mandalore, handing it to him with a slight bow. He remembered the Mandalore's lecture before about bowing to him, but for his people, it was a custom, damn near ritualistic in nature, and a hard habit to break. Unlike his initial meeting, it was not the full on bow that sparked the conversation long ago.

"I share some of the concerns of Clan Ordo. I am also shady of negotiating with the Republic in the first place. It may be being overly cautious, but what is to say they aren't like the Republic we spent so long fighting...and what is to say we aren't trading one master for another. From what I've heard of this... New... Republic...they prefer controlling their members and allys, rather than allowing them to enjoy their independence as we wish. We want to fulfill the Mandalorian Way? We want to be the great Empire we once were? We want Immortality? We must take it, for it is ours...and with that sentiment, I would prefer making the march to war and taking what is ours rather than grovelling to the weak Republic so that they may kindly give our worlds back to us. I've been told they are known for scrambling over themselves to gain any worlds possibly, no matter the significance...so what makes you think they will give those worlds up, Mandalore? And I say this, with all respect due, however I am merely skeptical of the reasoning behind your plan." he said, taking a breath. He gave a small, barely noticeable bow again.

"With that said, Clan Mereel...and the united clans of Concord Dawn, are ready for your call, should we need to reclaim what is ours..." he said, taking a step back and crossing his arms.

"You're speaking of the same Republic that fought with us to free the very ground you stand on," Marcus reprimanded Mereel in no uncertain terms. He did not like to be misunderstood, but far worse was it to be mischaracterized (especially by someone from Concord Dawn, who sat out the worst of the Imperial subjugation of the homeworld). "Perhaps you've not 'been told' that their Chief of State, Organa, stood with us with blaster in hand when you were only a child. Their blood is in this soil, too, and you should be mindful of that before you speak such fighting words." There were nods all around.

"However," Ordo added with a sigh, "there is some truth in what the Mereel says. All power corrupts, and as with any bureaucracy we should be wary of the Republic of course, but I would not suggest that they cannot be trusted. Let us remember that they offered us membership after Endor, where many Mandalorians also died, and when we refused to join our wishes were respected. I believe the Mand'alor is right, that the Republic deserves that much respect, until or unless it proves unworthy of it. Of course we will have what is ours, the question is how many of our children need die for it."

Bralor looked at the both of them and addressed them as such.

"I agree with Mereel on many levels and have though deeply upon them as well. The Republic that stands is not the Rebellion it once was. They bicker they argue they are filled with many politicians with many beliefs and there organization is often fragile. They are bloated, corrupt, and almost undeserving of any honors that may befall them at times. However this is not something that doesn't come with a large government trying to hold it's own while fearing itself to become the power that came before it. Make no mistake Mereel I will cut ties with the Republic if they do not treat us as equals."
