Today, I present to you, the most revolutionary piece of technology since the Hyperdrive. I present to you the vessel that will be the solution to the problem of the Imperial Remnant; to all the Military foes of the New Republic.

I present for the Senate, the official Announcement of the Kruus-Class Battle Galleon, and specifically the first of its line to be named 'Viceroy Kruus'.

Longer than a star destroyer it packs enough fire to demolish an Imperial-II Star Destroyer in a gunnery duel, and even duel volleys with Super Star Destroyers for a period of time. It packs more weaponary than a MC-90 Cruiser and is well suited for all roles, holding a similar number of Starfighters.

It can hold many hundreds of marines and multiple thousands of Battle Droids, along with companies of heavy armor.

And all crewed, by one Sentient being; assisted by the mightiest thinking engines of our day, thousands of AI units, all slaved into one machine counciousness and melded with a sentient being to create a machine able to sustain the damage and manouvre as a droid ship, but with the free-thinking and innovation of a Sentient. Within this system there are 50,000 seperate droid brains, acting as cells do in an organic anatomy, flowing around, operating systems and managing the vessel.

This is a vessel that not only can make decisions with a thousand times the thinking power and logic of an organic crew, but also the ability to self-repair, the ship has the ability to repair itself (with supplies) from 1/3rd of its hull. Without a large organic crew this allows many sections of the vessel to have no atmosphere; this results in a dramatic saving in space within the ship, allowing weapons to be deployed on carousels from internal storage in mere seconds.

With its supreme intelligence, this is also a vessel that can, if no other task presents itself, design its own upgrades and to some extent collect ore from asteroids and build and fit these upgrades.

Gentlemen, we now truly enter a new era of space combat, which will prove that the amalgamation of man and machine can indeed save lives and be just as, if not more efficient than the current Organic-Machine interface that requires risking huge crews, composed of our citizens in battle.

The vessels shakedown cruise will be in the next few weeks, and a public viewing will be made as soon as it is concluded, allowing Senators to attend a cocktail reception aboard and also its combat trials.
